Good day Your Excellency. As a mere citizen I should believe whatever you tell me because you are my eyes, ears, mouth and even brain. But permit to use my brain for once sir. May I ask sir, why is it that none of my fellow subjects in ILORIN and it's environs have come forward to claim the SHEEP? Is it that your subjects are wallowing in affluence that a sheep of that size and calibre will be missing from their flock for over 4 days now and they will not give a hoot? Well, I remain loyal, your excellency. I know time will tell lipsrsealed.

Wallahi I saw this goat sheep on NTA International news The sheep is a celebrity o o. See how people surrounded it trying to see a thieving sheep. It was eating fresh grasses and drinking water from a very neat plastic bowl, unperturbed by the presence of people around him. The NTA lady interviewed the sheep, but the goat gave no response grin. I saw one of the vigilante men that arrested the sheep swearing and insisting that the sheep was really a human incarnate. My take is that the sheep could be human afterall because nobody in the crowd laid claim to the sheep. I think the police should stop feeding it so that by the time hunger pepper it , we shall hear from the sheep's mouth . Or what do you think my people?

Politics › Re: Why Corruption Is High In Nigeria -alile by jamace(m): 9:04pm On Jan 25, 2009
The problem with Nigeria is multi-faceted. Some of Those in power now attended mission schools because most of them are over 40 years in age. When were these mission schools taken over by government? In those days of mission scools, they were fewer churches, but today, churches and mosques are competing for space with shops and accomodation areas, yet, corruption is finishing us. Immorality is now accepted as morality. Tribalism, ethicism, favouritism and godfatherism are seen as normal way of doing things . Those days, prayers were done in quiet solemn ways and things worked better. These days we have prayer warriors that will shout, cast and bind the devil, yet things continue to go worse. In fact, in terms of religion, Nigeria is like the whitewashed tomb, shining religiously from the outside but despicably rotten inside. When we talk about corruption in Nigeria, it is the old school that are teaching the younger ones how to be corrupt. For instance, parents do not allow their children to face the challenges of the outside world any longer. During examinations, parents bribe the teacher/lecturer so that their children will pass or get better grades. In schools admissions, parents will bribe/ lobby the teachers/lecturers even if their children did not meet up the requirements. When it comes to job employments, this is where you know the children from powerful families. Merit these days is depended on how powerful or connected your godfather is in the society. In fact, to conclude, it is those you attended missionary schools that iare in power now and they are the ones perpetrating corruption in high places. The children are only learning from them. Though mission schools are good, the problem with Nigeria is beyond missionary school issue.
Christianity Etc › Re: Worshipping In Our Churches by jamace(m): 8:24pm On Jan 25, 2009
When I was young going to church was a very solemn affair. You were not allowed to make any form of noise within the perimeter of the church which was seen as a hallowed ground. I have also been privileged to visit Rome and Jerusalem and no form of unnecessary shouting is allowed. The only time this tradition is breached is when Nigerian Pilgrims arrive at such places of worship. Obviously people from other culture frown at this invasion of the serene atmosphere. What is more puzzling is that denominations such as the Catholic, Anglican and the Methodist in Nigeria have joined in this practice of shouting at God. The following are questions that I am seeking answers to from members: a. Are prayers best answered when you shout, command or compel God?; b. When you are requesting anything from your earthly father or mother do you shout at them.;c. Could it be that God will not understand our requests unless we present such in very rowdy atmosphere?. I am not averse to being labelled as belonging to the old school but I want answers to the questions please and not criticisms.
My brother, de thing tire me o o. These same people that shout, cast and bind the devil when given money or anything to share with their brethren will steal everything. Is it that they were shouting, casting and binding the devil so that they can have the opportunity to enjoy what the devil has been denying them? huh I just don't understand angry sad shocked embarassed.
Christianity Etc › Re: Catholic Tradition Above The Bible: Is That Safe? by jamace(m): 8:12pm On Jan 25, 2009
Wao, very interesting and educative discussions. The way my Naija people quote and analys the Bible will definitely make the apostles jealous. However, I am dumbfounded that the biblical knowledge have not helped to curb corruption in our society? huh Or is knowing the Bible a mere academic exercise? I just don't understand my Naija people embarassed.
