You're right, nobody knows the name that will sell. Imagine if you only registered names based on good metrics. Sticking to what works is the way to go

For me when it comes to geo names the only things I look out for are SV, CPC, RDT, if there are other variations on Dan and the number of endusers. In some cases though, if many of the endusers use the keyword as their web title, I always go ahead and register without even checking the SV or CPC. Lastly, there are some names I fall in love with the minute I set my eyes on them, those are the ones i end up selling on first outbound

That's true but that's why it's good to pick quality names. Handregging names (for outbound) is not a good thing for someone with limited resources. There are analytics that these SEO guys (endusers always run to) cannot fault. Learn them and reg names that align. Make SEO (guys) your friend.

Stop handregging if you have limited resources. Go for expired names, names with reasonable arrangements and spellings, SV, CPC, RDT, BL, DA. Handregging works but if your resources are limited stop it.

Stop looking at one parameter alone. Keep digging on ED if the day's drop doesn't meet your target, move on to the next. Even if it takes a week or a month don't give in to the temptation. Limited funds require sound planning.

Analytics are important when registering names, but how often does names like that drop on ED? Most of the names with the analytics you mentioned are always backordered.
How does one succeed in domain flipping if you have to wait for 1 month or more to find a name that fits the analytics you mentioned. Even when you get one, it's not guaranteed to sell.
I also read that domain flipping is a game of numbers. How do you grow your portfolio if you don't register names frequently?

That's probably cause it was previously listed on afternic earlier by someone else, before you registered the name. Send an email to them, they'll ask for a screenshot to prove you own the name.

Lol, what can you learn from me that you don't know already. I only started domaining last year. You have made 100 sales wen I haven't had up to 20.

By cutting down some shitty names, for some. Instead of having 50 names all Geo, let half the portfolio be EMDs and possibly ones that do not require outbound. E.g NFTTech. But they have to be solid though.

Secondly, going for Geos with strong analytics. E.g a name like Austin Lawyer in king. You don't need an outbound to sell such. Patience is the key.

Third, having so many functional and professional mails for outbound makes it easy. An easy way is to create about 4-10 mail addresses (and sign up with gmass for 2 months warming), register your services as a domain name E.g James Domains.

Then create about ten aliases too on your registrar and redirect to each address, go to Gmail settings and redirect all too. That way, with one address you can reach 400 mails per day but sending just 100 or two will do the address great. Use the other ones to finish off. That way, you reduce stress of waiting to continue the next day.

Fourth, after the 5th outbound (I only do 4) just rest. Patience is key. Once you know the analytics of the name you've got is good and it's getting to inbox, then rest. You may be contacted after months as I was when I sold a name I outbounded in Dec in March. Relax. Outbounding doesn't end.

Yes, I've experienced it. I sold one at Dan registered at Netsol, the buyer told Dan no way would he has anything to do with Netsol. He waited for about 6 weeks later before I sent Auto Code when 60 days lock was lifted. You'd have to wait till the stated date. Congrats on your sale!

I don't know what dan means by this. I usually push domains to their escrow if the domain us under 60 days lock. Has anyone experienced this before?

I was working full time and domain was my side hustle until covid struck. During the lockdown I realised I was making my salary which was 150k at the time just outbounding. I also got to learn the reason I wasn't successful prior to that time was my outbound timing. I work 8 to 8pm six times a week, so I only sent mails at the close of work on my way back home sticked in lekki Ajah traffic (Terrible experience).

But covid made me realize if I start outbound from 1pm to 7pm the response rate would be higher and I was closing more deals. By 7pm I was just in time to compete in the drops from expireddomains .net. These little things made me realise all the knowledge I gathered from this thread were valuable, I just never really had the time and opportunity to put them into practice this it influenced my decision to resign in June last year and I went full time into domains. Since then I've just had 3 months without sales but other months cover up for it if you know learn money management.

At first I was ok with $400 monthly but I saw I had more time in my hand to make more and this has kept me motivated. On the average since June 2020 I make $700 to $1k just doing domains even with 3 months of no sale cos there are months I've made $2k, $3k, and $5k

Do I regret resigning?

Hell NO!!! My family, friends and colleagues were scared for me, some felt I was making a stupid mistake but my wife trusted my decision and stuck with me and I'm glad Jehovah made our plans turn out successful. Without Jehovah, Boss Iykepromotions and my Bosses I mentioned earlier I would still be in lekki traffic
