Politics / Re: Petition In Favour Of President Buhari Gathers Over 5000 Signatures In 24hours by jameseva: 5:34am On Jan 04, 2016
I initially contemplated folding my arms to watch unpatriotic and self serving, corruption-supporting fo.ols display their gullibilty on social media but decided against it yesterday after the #TyrantBuhari hashtag trended!

I have never seen anywhere in the world where citizens of a country openly supports proven corrupt officers and practices all in the name of opposition!!These Nuisances are the loudest voices when it comes to labelling Nigeria as an underdeveloped country, but are the first to queue behind looters and thieves over a few thousand Naira! Gosh! I hate this people! Their bigoted, blind and selfish support for corrupt individuals is the major reason why Nigeria is lagging behind in the comity of developed nations.

I use this medium to call on every goodwilling Nigerians to not leave president Buhari alone as he tries to fight corruption to a standstill thereby alleviating our living conditions as well as instilling positive psychology of hardwork, discipline and good morals into our lives! Corruption will fight back ruthlessly cos they have the financial means and willing tools (idiot.s) at their disposal! We must stand gallantly with our president both online (social media, internet forums etc) and offline!

My twitter handle with 7640 followers, Nairaland account, facebook profile, instagram and other social media accounts will do its part in shaming doom wishers and propaganders of hate against the progress of Nigeria! I hope several others take up this challenge as well. NIGERIA MUST WORK!!

What the f#ck are you saying nigga All this donjazzy fan boys that dont know a shit about music!! Coz of the recharhe card y'all are getting on twitter and instagram abi!!

Olamide was only defending his boy's work the best way he knows how to, he didnt call out donjazzy or anyone for that matter! Donjazzy could have taken a jab too without calling out any names!!

Writing rubbish epistle!!
Celebrities / Re: Olamide Vs Donjazy: The Headies Drama (Video) by jameseva: 9:09am On Jan 02, 2016
DonJazzy came to support his children. Olamide was fighting for his! I'd have a friend like Olamide everyday!!

Lil Kesh not winning the award he clearly deserved yesterday could have been a morale downer but fighting for him like olamide is one heck of a morale booster! After that stunt today, lil kesh knows his boss got his back completely and he inturn owes him 100% loyalty.

Same cant be said for Donjazzy with his previous artists.. Besides the fact that olamide wasnt reffering to him, dbanj and wande coal's career quickly comes to mind!!

F#ck what you'v heard, i'm with olamide on this!! I just followed him on twitter and IG.. Meanwhile, majority of nigerians on social media are with him on this anyways!

How can africa develop with this set of shallow reasoning bufoons as her youths! Its frustrating sharing the same race and disgustingly, the same country with this nutwits!

I mean, Rather than spend time thinking about innovations that could shake the world, this ones are here defending a rogue that mortgaged his future!

I really cannot blame either the americans or europeans for unfair treatments melted to blacks in their countries! I mean, reading comments such as this can only make one assume that the brain of the average black man is at least 80% filled with sawdust!

Sorry,.Mr Dasuki, your vieled attempt at garnering public sympathy wont work this time. We were all aware that you had frustrated both the efforts of the DSS and the investigative panel and only clamoured 24/7 to be allowed to 'run' to the UK for 'medical attentions', when there are several outstanding medical practitioners in the country that can help check your BP grin grin

You can cry allday of persecution and while you expectedly will appeal to the wailing zombies that dont want to see the country progress, well meaning nigerians will stand with President Buhari on this one!

I'm sorry i misunderstood you.. you have said nothing but the truth.. i really hope too that something is done quickly to eradicate nigeria off this mess she's in. i just saw a thread earlier that listed nigeria as third most terrorised nation in the world! Thats really disturbing, to be honest.. Its only in the north now, God forbid that it is extended to the south.

When asked my nationality and i say nigerian, the first discussion is usually boko haram! Its so f#cked up that the first 2hours of meeting anyone could be centered around nigeria and terrorism. Its fast becoming a plague for reals!

I for one trust the buhari govt to lock heads with this extremists and eradicate them in no time. In my own little way, i'm also supporting as well as praying for the military and the nation at large.

God bless Nigeria

Halleluyah. i finally got my Visa yesterday! I really really appreciate the front runners in this forum for everything. I didn't know a thing about Germany's education system until i mistakenly clicked on the travel section last year. I was gonna click on 'politics' oo. I still thank God for that slip of hand or should i say 'slip of mouse' grin . I make bold to say I learnt everything that guided the process from securing admission to finally getting the visa from NAIRALAND. Big Shoutout to Every Active Contributor on the thread from part1 till date and the Biggest Shoutout to God Almighty for the success of it all.

For those still expecting the a.m email..yours will come soon. I can only advice that you send a reminder at offpeak embassy periods between 1.30 - 2.30 pm. I had earlier sent my db confirmation and didn't get an invite until i resent on monday to get the a.m email 20 minutes later. Note that I composed a new email with 'BLOCKED ACCOUNT CONFIRMATION' as subject. Email went like...

Dear Sir,

For visa application................(quote visa application reference).................,

Attached to this email is a copy of the blocked account confirmation as sent by db......

This is for those that only replied to the earlier email from embassy but haven't gotten the A.M email to pick up their visas. I hope this helps and pray that u get called up soon.

* Even without the invite, Please send an enrollment extension notice if you have one to the embassy. That way, they are assured that your admission is still valid**

Big congrats to @eke40seven.. Go to deutschland and prosper Bro. You deserve every joy u might be feeling right now.

Guys pls i'm in a bit of a fix here.. I got the much awaited email yesterday but it came with a clause that I come with an evidence that I can still enrol after my enrolment deadline if my proposed travel date is beyond that. Deadline is early days of next week but I know i'd be rushing things a bit if I try to beat it considering that I am basically unprepared with items to buy and park for travel.

Is it wise that I ask the school for an extension or just rush things a bit with insurance, airline booking, preparation and maybe travel on my deadline day??

I don't want any form of delay for visa due to taking a letter from the school for extension with me to d embassy.

OP, Nigeria ll split, its just a matter of time, better be ready to wear hijab, a country where fellow country men kill one anoda cos of a drawn cartoon in far away country is not fit to b called a country. A country where an Oba threatened to drown anoda citizens just cos they did'nt wanna vote his fav candidate is not fit to be called a country. A where ppl bliv that leadership is their birthright is not fit to b called a country.catalonia independence ll mark anoda step to Biafra independence. Its not by force to live in d same country. Let us go...

It's a matter of time before Nigeria splits you say, it's an agitation that will calm down overtime I say. When everybody eventually realise in the coming years that we are stuck in this country together and nobody is going anywhere, we will all strive to make things better. I, like the op, believe in a better Nigeria ahead.

Brother, lately, ALL my PMs return with a failure notice. And yours did the same. I don't know what the issue is really, CC: Enibal

As regards the issue, I told you they will likely not respond that you should have done the transcation using a supplementary form. Read the FAQ on DB international students website. They hardly confirm subsequent transactions. Try clicking the "new account balance" option on the contact form.

Thanks bro, I got the updated balance yesterday. Had to inform a friend that was in germany already to enter the bank premises for me. Thank u for your time. Can i have your phone number tho, I'd like to talk to you.

So guys, I explained my ordeal to my supervisor in the school after he asked if i had recieved my study permit or not and i Said No. He typed and forwarded a 'support letter' to me that's meant for the embassy. Is it advisable that i forward this letter to the embassy myself or give him the email address of the embassy and tell him to send it directly to the embassy?

All thanks to God, i arrived Stuttgart yesterday morning. My impression here has been so great, infact twas as if i de watch one hollyhood movie. This is because the organization, serenity, orderliness in Germany is unbeatable. I even asked friend if there's a place they make noise in Germany. Moving from place to place, trains and bus stations, everywhere just de quiet and cool. Oh! I now understand why people no gre go house again. Also, I boarded a train, thank God we already bought ticket for me to use, naso Police come train to check ticket o. I was told if ticket no de, my fine is 60 box. i was able to register at the foreigners office and the bank stuff was sorted out same day. just a feedback to the house. Nigerian students here made things a lot more easier for me. I'm so happy.

As for immigration in Nigeria, no one asked me of admission letter or eve any document, my one way self, no one ask me anything. na just things like:
Where is your final destination?
Purpose of travelling?
Course of study?
Served Nigeria and where? Blah Blah Blah

For Turkey and Germany, only Passport checks and i was free to go

Danke

which type of visa are you applying for....also note Deutsch bank will deduct administrative charges from both your €8040 and €360 so at the end of the day your balance might not be up to €8400 intended.

Its same study visa like everyone... Deutsche bank already sent a confirmation 8040eur to me which i sent to the embassy by replying to the email that was earlier sent by the embassy after the interview. 48hours later i got the email quoted directly below

Dear Sir,

This is a reminder that you still need to submit your blocked account confirmation. Please make sure that you have sufficient funds in your account (at least 8400€ according to information from the aliens authority).

Sincerely yours

What's the way forward please?

Please how do i get deustchebank to send an updated account balance information to me. I initially funded with 8040eur but later got an email from the embassy that i am required to deposit at least 8400eur according to the alien authority. I thought this might be a mistake of writing 8400 instead of 8040 but i added 360eur to the account last week thursday anyways. Could it be a typo error from the embassy though?? Has anyone been told to pay more than 8400eur?

The main problem now is since paying the money into the account and obtaining a telex from the nigerian bank here, i am yet to recieve any confirmation from DB showing the updated balance. Do i need to send an email to them to get this information?

jameseva kindly answer this question. Thanks

i went with a letter from my school stating that the 8040 was for study and living expenses during my period of study in germany. This was alongside other 'normal' documents including the a print out of the email from the embassy
