Happy New year my people. I’ve been following this thread since 2018 (Read from part 2-4) and I have really gained a lot on here and my visa was successfully granted.
Thank you guys for your selflessness.

Application Timeline:
Submission Date; December 5, 2019
Pick up Date; January 2, 2020
Visa type; 2-years visiting visa
Standard Processing
Victoria Island.

Background
I applied for a 6months Uk visa in 2014 while I was still in University with my Dad as the sole sponsor and I was granted. I traveled twice that year.

Income and Expenditure For Recent Application
Monthly salary; N221,000
ME; N54,000
DI; N334,000
Total Savings; 4,551 GBP
Personal Contribution to the trip; N330,000
I also stated in my application that my dad is a co-sponsor, and he transferred the sum of 200k as a gift to support my ticket fees. Which brought the total amount for the trip to N530,000 (1,125GBP)

Employment Document Submitted
• Employment Letter/Offer Letter
• Confirmation Letter
• Letter from Hr
• Staff Id
• Leave approval letter
• Copy of email from Hr on salary upgrade
• Copy of email from MD on end of year bonus payment (as proof of lump sum)
• Two bank statements; one with a balance of 95k and another with a balance of about 2m

Dad’s Document
• Consent Letter (which also stated that he transferred 200k to my account as a gift)
• Data Page of Nigerian Passport
• Transfer Receipt of 200k (I did not submit his bank statement)
• My mother’s death certificate

Cousin’s Document
• Data page of British Passport
• Invitation letter stating that he will cover my accommodation/feeding for 2weeks
• 3-months payslip

Other Document
One page Cover letter explaining my salary payment structure (which is paid twice in a month into different accounts). I did this in a tabular form; Transaction date, Amount, Narration, Source.
I also explained other non-salary payment such as leave bonus, year-end bonus and gift form my dad.

Budget for the Trip1,125 GBP
Air ticket; 665GBP
Shopping & Sight Seeing 400GBP
Transportation/Oyster Top up 60GBP

I broke one or two rules which i'll rather not mention so i don't mislead people but thank God everything worked out fine.
I wish all prospective applicants success in their application. May we all have a reason to smile this 2020

Congratulations brother. Are you married or single and please what was your account opening balance?

You write "Reconsideration review request" and highlight where you think ECO has made a mistake on the refusal letter and address it. Don't forget to include your application number.

Email: complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk

You can try this as well: VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Good luck.

Thank you.

I specially want to thank @ekpotek and @justwise and every other people that contributed their opinion. My visa application was refused in September due to Eco not checking all documents i submitted, i was adviced by these two wise men to contact them and complain which i did. 21 days later i received an email saying they're conducting an Independent review of my complaint.

5 days ago i received another email stating "Please note your visa decision has been overturned" I have submitted my passport with a copy of the email received from them.

I appreciate every advice given and God bless you guys

Congratulations! Please how did you made your complaint and which email address did you sent your complaint to.

Please those anyone know about UK NARIC, it's urgent I want to know if anyone here has used it before and if HND In Nigeria is equivalent to degree in UK from the UK NARIC evaluation, please it's urgent

HND is not equivalent to BSc according to UKNARIC requirement. They ask for Bachelor's degree certificate for evaluation.

[Base on my friend application experience, his first application was granted with hotel reservation claimed he doesn't have anybody in UK, He later apply his second application with invitation letter from his brother and he was banned for 5yrs, despite he stated that he just got his brother contact recently. I guess it help.

quote author=Horlaidey007 post=84209911]Please, I need your advice I got my 6-month visa this year expire next year Jan with me saying I do not have any family member in the Uk and i spent Just 10day as indicated when making the application. my question now is I want to process for 2 years and my inlaw want to invite myself and hubby will this be an issue for me since my first application was not with the invitation letter

@demmysoft. Does it mean his 5yr ban start from the date of his first application. I mean when he applied using hotel.

Hello guys. In October, was refused a visit visa. But I was not satisfied by the decision as I felt I had a strong application and that the officer did not coheck all 50 documents I provided. I planned to reapply this month.

Although I had no rights of appeal, i did send them a complaint detailing how I believe my application was not properly checked.
At first, they replied to me that they were not the correct channel for complaints.
I didn't have their time since and about 15 days later, which is today, I mailed them again demanding for an explanation / review of the presiding officer's judgement on my visa.

7 hours later, they mailed me that ''my visa decision has been overturned and that I should submit my passport for the new decision ''Please note that your visa decision has been overturned.

Please submit your passport to the Visa Application Centre with a copy of this e-mail.

Once we have confirmation that the passports have been received, we will send out a new decision to be endorsed on your passport.''

Has anyone ever experienced an overturn of refusal decision? Does that mean my visa will now be granted?

I am going to submit my passport tomorrow to them.
Thanks

Please which email address did you sent your complaint today?

She doesn't need to keep any money for feeding and accommodation. Her friend will accommodate and feed her. I think she only need estimate for flight and she will stay for 10 days.

Good morning house. Please advice on this. Thanks.

Means disposable income is 174k and 2x of it is 348k (£757 at rate of 460). If she can plan a budget around that for flight, feeding and others, then it should fly but it could be hard because flight could be around £600. Depending on the number of days, there is still feeding, transportation and sight seeing.

She doesn't need to keep any money for feeding and accommodation. Her friend will accommodate and feed her. I think she only need estimate for flight and she will stay for 10 days.

This means her disposable income is 224k. Twice of it is 448k. Since her friend will provide letter and other documents to shoe he will provide accommodation. She can plan her budget for flight, feeding and sightseeing around 400k.
You should also read across the thread for other key things.

Sorry, I meant her salary is 200k and monthly expenses in Nigeria is 26k. Her friend will accommodate and feed her.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Janechinem: 10:56pm On Nov 06, 2019
giselle237:
200k is not her disposable income. She must subtract the amount she wants to state as her expenses monthly from this salary and then the amount she gets she cnt spend more than 2 times it on the trip.
It is advisable tht this amount is substantial if not she will be denied and she shud not try exceeding 2 times d disposable income , nor having so little money left in her account afterwards.

Thank you. She earns 200k and spends like 26k monthly in Nigeria. Once she will be accommodated and fed by her friend can she say she will spend like 650 or 700 pounds from her own account without anyone contributing? Her balance will be like 1.4m by the time she will apply.

If ur sister cant afford a holiday she should not go to the embassy... be wary of all these sponsorships. If she is working and earns she shud give herself a holiday fully only if she is financially capable... if she cnt then she should not apply as she will be denied..
the embassy is ever ready to deny u if u do not have the financial capacity to a holiday in the uk...
they dont need anyone coming to overstay or trying to access the funds of their country.. they wont allow u smell their borders...

Okay, thank you. She can afford the trip with her salary. Please how much can she state she want to spend for 6 or 10 days trip with her 200k salary? Her friend will accommodate and feed her. She also have her own house here in Nigeria. Please we need your input. Thank you.

Good morning everybody. Please I want to ask a question on behalf of my sister. She works and earns 200k after all deductions and want to visit the UK though early next year. She is 36 and single, she lives in her own house (3-bedroom bungalow). She has a friend who has travelled to the UK about 9 years ago and her friend has promised to support her trip with £300. Her friend will invite, accommodate and feed her. Please how can she package the application so that it will fly. She want to say she will spend only £500 from her account and is it okay as her friend want to sponsor the trip with £300 so everything will be £800. Her friend want to support her trip because when he called my sister on Friday which was her birthday he said he would like to host in the UK and promised her £300 whenever she wish to visit him and his family in the UK. Her friend is a male and married in the UK. Thank you all.

@All

I'm just going to say this for the sake of the gullible members here..

If you are refused a visa and you strongly felt that the ECO made a mistake then simply write a letter of complain pointing out those areas the ECO got it wrong and your application will be revisited again.

Do not pay anybody for such letter, don't be deceived by some people asking you to contact them so as to get you a letter for a fee.

Letter of complain does not have any format and does not have to be written by an immigration lawyer or solicitor, anybody can write one.

If somebody can't help you openly here and requested for private discussion then there is something fishy going on

Please which email address can we send it to? Thanks.

Justblow:

There are three different types of employment letter.

1. The letter of employment offer, the one saying you have been given the job.

2. Contract of employment, the one stating the conditions and terms of your employment and all your packages..... This letter carries the biggest weight, because some of info on your payslip is generated from this doc.

3. Letter of introduction from the company, introducing you to the ECO.

4. Leave letter, stating you have been granted a specific period to travel.

5. Salary increase letter, according to the ECO, you claim to have started work since 2017, I bet the company didn't start you up straight with 250k, you would have gotten a salary increase within the space of two years.

6. If they check, and your company is not registered or its license with the cac has expired, then another issue.

It is not about just complaining, you need to make sure that all your side is tight, or else, once they see u not tight enough, they will ignore

Regards

Good morning Just blow. I submitted everything you mentioned above and the company am working for is registered with CAC. If not they won't have a corporate account. Please guide me through the process because I want to do it today. Thanks.
