Exactly, my point. The Natasha I have seen looks like one who would have set him up if something like an harassment actually occurred. She is way too smart not to know how to catch a con man in his act unless it never happened. richiemcgold: |
And people actually liked this. With people who don't know what integrity or honor means, how can we forge ahead as a nation? Clearly this is why we are where we are. Salewa97: |
This precedence you are endorsing will catch up with you. By then, it will be too late. Someone openly shunned the constitution that should govern us and you don't see anything wrong with it?? How much is your conscience worth?? You think this is aboot PO or Igbos? You have no idea what is being birthed. It will catch up with you real soon. You’ll cry foul when the law that should protect you is made irrelevant but it would be too late by then. Keep applauding evil. fuckJones: |
When I read comments like this, I simply conclude: We truly deserve our leaders. You are pathetic and may posterity judge you for making mockery of the truth. quote author=NoIgboSoundTueh post=134632099]How many LP candidates are left in HA and HoR The only reason PO got so many votes outside his SE base is because some Christians think they will be persecuted under Muslim/Muslim tickets now that their fears are allayed Christians enjoying even more under the dreaded Muslim Muslim ticket (ask Southern Kaduna people) The PO will be so irrelevant in 2027 and any politician that aligned with him no matter how liked he is Buhari, Tinubu, El-Rufai will failed
|
And people actually liked this post?? Jeez!!! GOFRONT: |
People like you is why Nigeria is doomed. Is the chaos in Rivers worse than what's happening in the North East? When people sell their votes for porriage, they become blind, indeed. Salewa97: |
You are a truly bitter person. How do you call someone qn ode for sharing a past struggle that he believes people can benefit from the lessons learned? You won't read but will easily curse and then wonder why your life is pathetic. The man isn't broke or asking for your peanut (not like you have any). He was simply sharing a past struggle. You would have known if you cared to read. quote author=jubrilELsudan post=134638702]LIKE WETIN CONCERN US?.....ODE DEY USE STYLE TO BEG US FOR GOFUNDME LIKE SEY WHEN HIM DEY USE HIM MONEY TO FVCK GIRLS UP AND DOWN HIM CALL US FOR SET
|
This is why you read stuff not just run away with headlines. It isn't a present situation but one he has overcome. If you can't read a caption resist th urge to comment lest you look stupid. quote author=Hezzyluv post=134637696]When everywhere stew for you, you no remember to advice people how to follow you make this money. When I see dumb comments of this sort and those who go ahead and click like, I weep for Nigeria. Keep pumping Tinubu into becoming a full grown tyrant. Idi Amin will be learning work where he is concerned. Don't cry foul then. Keep enabling dictatorship. When Fubara acted, we all know he was already at war with Wike and the assembly members were bent on making his governance impossible. Why haven't your amiable president called Wike to order? That is his minister—one he could sanction without the National assembly’s consent. You know the answer: Wike is the face of your president. He is enabling Wike. No wonder Wike is so power drunk. Surprised he hasn't said a word since. madridguy: |
You can't even write TV properly, but have the effrontery to call a man who isn't on Tinubu’s payroll a liar because someone who is being paid to protect Tinubu’s image said so. How myopic can you be? The same Reno that 80% of his call to fact check him has turned out to be false. Or isn't he the same person that called your “beloved” president a druglord? Now, you suddenly believe him but don't think his take on your beloved “president” is also true. You are more confused than Reno. numericalguy: |
Your opinion is cheap. Salewa97: |
Leave which party? Fubara was planning to leave PDP to where? If how Tinubu is acting is your definition of wisdom, I would wonder what being unwise would look like. You all need liberation from mental slavery. tundegan: |
You are a sorry soul. Which path is easier to tour? Calling his minister to order or calling for a state of emergency? Is he saying that he can't address the gross interference of his minister in Rivers state? Or the minister to as acting in his direction. TimeManager: |
I would never understand how people get to this place in their lives— I don't pray it on my worst enemy. Mental slavery is indeed the worst kind of slavery because it takes away your objectivity and insight. You become a zombie. My condolences, sir. I know you need help— and pray silently for you that you find it. TimeManager: |
Akpabio should apologize to her for what, exactly? When she was allegedly sexually assaulted, if she had used half this energy to tackle the “he-goat”, she would have made more impact. No proofs. Just you say and I said. This energy is why I believe she wasn't assaulted or harassed. Natasha would fight immediately if someone crosses the line, but she didn’t. Why? That she waited years to bring whatever stuff up shows she only came up bexause the favors she was enjoying stopped. I wish you didn't bring your wife into this. This isn't the model of a woman who is virtuous—I’m sorry. Natasha is a vindictive and manipulative lady who only cries foul when things stops going her way. It is a huge weakness not a strength. Ringstonermasks: |
Is Nigeria Senate the court of law? If the case hadn’t been lodged with the court of law why did she dash off to AriseTV? Wisdom indeed is profitable to direct. When pride is leading, it always precedes a massive fall. Akpabio may have erred, all we ask is proof. Don’t drag all women into your fight. Not all of us are this unwise. You are fighting for your pride not women. This is all shades of what a lack of wisdom looks like. As long as you didn’t cry foul when the supposed harassment occurred but waited till you had issues in the senate to cry foul, you can’t convince me this is about sexual assault. No! You can’t. Another Nigerian who would recommend Google but doesn’t use it himself. Only God will help this generation. Fact Check: The size of Sambisa Forest is approximately 518 square kilometers. In contrast, the combined area of the five states in Southeastern Nigeria—Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo—is approximately 29,525 square kilometers. Therefore, Sambisa Forest is significantly smaller than the entire Southeastern Nigeria. Interesting! Where did you get this information from, please? Sorry I asked o. I’m not unaware that Nigerians love to quote imaginary figures without real data to back it up. Update: No, Sambisa Forest is not five times larger than Lagos State. Lagos State covers an area of approximately 3,577 square kilometers, making it the smallest state in Nigeria by land area. Estimates of the size of Sambisa Forest vary, with figures ranging from 518 square kilometers to 1,140 square kilometers. Even using the largest estimate, Sambisa Forest is significantly smaller than Lagos State and is not five times its size. That should give you realistic idea of how big it is. Give some kudos the gallant officers.
|
This is hilarious—yeah! I smell it’s sarcasm, though. But it’s the same thought going through my mind. No proof— pictures. video. Just English about a rescue operation. DeShineShine: |
I don’t think it is right to make this about Peter Obi. It isn’t. I voted for Peter Obi in the last elections, but that doesn’t mean I have to salute S. Natasha’s allegation against the SP until she provides proof. I simply ask myself: Would I support a lady who claims my brother sexually assaulted her without asking her for proof irrespective of my brother’s antecedence? Life is that simple: That this is my position doesn’t mean I think less of Peter Obi. Not everything has to be politicized along religious, tribal or party affiliations. quote author=Freetech post=134492233]Segun this is another nonsense being push to front page by your compromised mod In the morning a 2009 story from nonsense blog about this same man in relation to Natasha and false claimed it's from people gazette So how does this affect the decision to suspend the serial lier and blackmailer Natasha. And you are meant to be a kingdom practitioner. Yet you see nothing wrong with a pasupt clearly magnifying Mammon. It’s sad! So whats the aim of saying this to a congregation in an economy that's ridden with poverty? How does this magnify Christ? Jesus said there are only two masters— God and mammon, and you can only exalt one. That mammon Jesus talked about is comfortably seating on our pulpits. quote author=martinmiller post=134469382]Three things I don't like engaging publicly are RELIGION, SELF ACCOMPLISHMENT, AND POLITICS. You people should go and sit down and drink plenty of water. And stop yearning dust.
|
Ok, true. But should this be carried out by mere, “he said, and I said”? No proof whatsoever?? Be careful what you are pushing for because this may just play out in your office tomorrow.A colleague or even your maid saying you sexually assaulted her. All we are saying is provide proof. S.Natasha can't say only her knows she was sexually harassed by the accused and then she rushes off to TV. On what basis should I believe her? Seeing that her sexuall assault allegation only came after she was asked to appear before the senate ethics committee for her unruliness during plenary? Please, tell me why I should believe someone without proof? If it wasn't an issue when it happened to her why is it now an issue when she was summoned over her unruliness? We have seen lives get destroyed on the basis of sexual abuse allegation. I will not add my voice to call anyone guilty without proof. There are a group of us waiting for her to charge the Senate President to court and provide proof of his harassment. When she does this, our voices will rise in support for her. Until then, I have no reason to believe S.Natasha. None! Xisnin: |
Because the court has become a tool in Wike’s hand and it is glaring for all to see. At the rate they are going, soon there will be outright defiance of their verdict. Mynd44: |
This narrative is sad because it doesn't exactly capture the situation. Noticed BBC Nigeria also did this. It is not healthy. We should support whoever we feel like but lets always give credence to the exact happenings not twist it. Again, I am neither for Akapbio nor Natasha. But she wasn't suspended because she came up with sexual assailt allegations. She was suspended for her unruly behavior during plenary. The sexual assault allegation came afterward and on AriseTV. Her colleagues didn't watched the interview like we all did. Anyone who chooses can discern that in a bid not to face sanctions by the ethics committee for her behavior during plenary, she chose to divulge the sexual assault claims. That issue is in court because that's where she lodged it and the hearing will begin soon. ambale: |
[The same Natasha who was dating someone’s husband and became his wife after threatening him with lawsuit if he didn't marry her is suddenly different from Akpabio. Bullshit people always trying to copy nonsense from the Western world, but cannot even produce the phone with which they write those nonsense. This is Nigeria and not Ukraine. If not comfortable, go and pass through Sahara Desert and get losttttttt.
|
Now, this is where I come in. Why would my loves one not cry foul when she was harassed? Why would my loved one not tell her hubby even after asking her severally? What was your response to him the first time that made him come to you again? Those are the questions I would ask my loved one. Yeah! Why would my loved one wait to vent after her seat is reassigned and then when summoned by the Ethics Committe and noticed a suspension was looking, run to AriseTV. I don't pray to have any loved one who will be so wisdom deficient. But if there is, I would advise her to retrace her step because she goofed. If sexual assault was truly an issue you wont wait to be summoned for breaking house rules to spill the beans. The way it seems: it only became an issue when things didn't go her way. quote author=allthingsgood post=134431405] First of all he didn't ask her out, and never told U he did. He has never even denied the accusation, instead went to hire fake protesters. Your are shouting that toasting isn't harassment because it didn't happen to your sister or your mum. But I pray it does so that you can also enjoy it. Then tell your loved ones to keep quiet that it's just toasting.
|
No! Shame on you because you are simply beclouded by sentiments. When you have your house, ensure it is rift of order, but the senate is run by rules and an unruly behavior during plenary is subject to the senate ethics committee for sanction. Akpabio didn't stop investigation into her sexual allegation, her gra-gra is what’s playing out on her— she was the one who ran to lodge her complaints in court, not Akpabio. If she wanted the ethics committee to probe she would have reported it formally there. You were summoned by the Ethics committee for misconduct and before you were due to appear before them, boom! You are suddenly claiiming sexually assault allegation. Wisdom is an asset indeed. It teaches you that timing is everything. Before you start screaming, “even in saner climes”, I can assure you that even in saner climes, Natasha would have still be disciplined for her unruliness during plenary. Obey first then tender your reservations. It doesn’t make you less. Challenge the reassignment of seat by raising it up as something to be tackled and those who have been affected will answer “aye” for it to be abolished. But No! You ran to AriseTv to scream sexual assault to intimidate the senate to do your bidding. Some of us are not impressed by sentiments. We see beyond them. And before you say someone in my family will face the same fate. I can promise you that I won't have an unwise family member who wouldn't cry foul when assaulted immediately and who would only see being assaulted a crime because their seat was reassigned. That my friend is manipulation. quote author=JAWBONE post=134424329]Shame on all the 108 fools in that house. Shame on all the idiots in this country cheering this nonsense. The world is watching you. Tomorrow, the Ronu/agbado idiotic crew will be so quick to blame Peter Obi, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, Igbo people for the negative image of Nigeria. But the foolish slaves will fail to realize that the world is watching these animals disgrace themselves. Nobody is even saying whether Akpabio is guilty of the allegations or not, allow the investigation to go on first but the bloated goat of a rubber stamp Senate President did not even allow any investigation to take place.
|
And you didn't add: She is on her second term unopposed. Bigboytinz: |
First let me state that I am not an APC or Akpabio fan. But for those saying how can one be suspended for speaking up against sexual harassment, you miss the point. After S.Natasha’s unruly behavior at the plenary, where she caused a commotion, she was summoned by the ethics committee and when she noticed she was likely going to face suspension for flouting the house rules, that was when she headed off to Arise TV and then to court. The sexual harassment or assault allegation was a ploy not to face disciplinary actions— and this doesn't mean it didn't happen. But the timing for blowing off the lid is questionable. After being summoned and her heading off to AriseTV, she got public sympathy and the court orders restraining her appearance before the committee. This the senate eventually kicked against claiming separation of powers. In reaction, she refused to appear before the committee. Yeah! She snubbed the committee. The decision to suspend her for 6-months was taken in her absence. Now, let me state this: She had a good cause—which was to stop the senate’s long tradition of reassigning seats of senators without their prior notice. But she didn't go about it the right way. You can't be in a house that thrives on rules and you want to use unruliness to bring it down. Wisdom should have informed her that she could have only had her way by using the same rules. There are some good people who would have seen her case. But trying to gather public sympathy when you are being punished and ascribing your unruliness to sexual assault is uncalled for. Her actions must be sanctioned so a wrong precedence isn't set for other senators.— present or incoming. Everything shouldn't be seen from the eyes of politics. If your colleague assaults you sexually, you should follow due process to report him/her, not cause a frenzy in an organizational meeting because he/she is the one presiding and reassigned your seat. No one knows about the assault— it happened behind the scenes. All the house sees is her flouting house rules. Now, they didn't even know why you acted rudely. They heard it on live TV. Please, all things should be done decently and in order. The sexual assault would be investigated and if the SP is found culpable, he should face the consequences of his actions. Yet he wasn't the one that caused commottion in the house, it is Natasha. So her suspension is well deserved. Metrix147: |
Very valid points raised. I was rooting for her until she made her allegation on AriseTV. Who does that? She is in a house that thrives on protocols yet she snubs all that and head for the media court. How come no one but her knows about this assault? Mind you she says asaault not harassament. None is trivial of course, but assault is huge. How on earth is it possible to assault a woman like Natasha who knows her onions without her crying foul immediately—- not to her husband or her women Caucaus at the Senate? But she had to wait for an unfavorable seating position to scream assault. The allegation is not “allegating”.😂 Like most Nigerians, I’m eagerly waiting for the evidence of the assault. And if a Nigerian barrister cum senator doesn't know the difference between advances, harassment and assault, I will be very scared for where we are headed. The case of BSc law will be a more humane joke. emkz: |
I believe he mentioned those to say he has high respect for women having being raised by his mum single-handedly. I don't think that comment was unnecessary. It was his way of saying he isn't a misogynist or one who has low regard for women to treat them condescendingly— especially with assault. That what he said may not be true of how he sees women but it doesn't make the comment irrelevant or borne out of durress. It was very valid. id4sho: |
