Even when there's a communication to present the budget, you have to wait for a feedback from the Assembly on a suitable date for the Presentation. You don't just walk into somebody's residence without invitation after you had previously demolished the Assembly complex meant for the purpose.

Why would my loves one not cry foul when she was harassed? Why would my loved one not tell her hubby even after asking her severally? What was your response to him the first time that made him come to you again?

Those are the questions I would ask my loved one.

First let me state that I am not an APC or Akpabio fan.

But for those saying how can one be suspended for speaking up against sexual harassment, you miss the point.

After S.Natasha’s unruly behavior at the plenary, where she caused a commotion, she was summoned by the ethics committee and when she noticed she was likely going to face suspension for flouting the house rules, that was when she headed off to Arise TV and then to court.

The sexual harassment or assault allegation was a ploy not to face disciplinary actions— and this doesn't mean it didn't happen.

But the timing for blowing off the lid is questionable.

After being summoned and her heading off to AriseTV, she got public sympathy and the court orders restraining her appearance before the committee.

This the senate eventually kicked against claiming separation of powers.

In reaction, she refused to appear before the committee. Yeah! She snubbed the committee. The decision to suspend her for 6-months was taken in her absence.

Now, let me state this:

She had a good cause—which was to stop the senate’s long tradition of reassigning seats of senators without their prior notice. But she didn't go about it the right way.

You can't be in a house that thrives on rules and you want to use unruliness to bring it down. Wisdom should have informed her that she could have only had her way by using the same rules. There are some good people who would have seen her case.

But trying to gather public sympathy when you are being punished and ascribing your unruliness to sexual assault is uncalled for.

Her actions must be sanctioned so a wrong precedence isn't set for other senators.— present or incoming.

Everything shouldn't be seen from the eyes of politics.

If your colleague assaults you sexually, you should follow due process to report him/her, not cause a frenzy in an organizational meeting because he/she is the one presiding and reassigned your seat.

No one knows about the assault— it happened behind the scenes. All the house sees is her flouting house rules. Now, they didn't even know why you acted rudely. They heard it on live TV.

Please, all things should be done decently and in order.

(4) Considering that the remote cause of the petition was the fallout from the allocation of seats, people are now divided whether it is not an instrument of blackmail as an afterthought. In other words, they are asking why the matter was not reported since.

Senator Natasha Akpoti, do not expect that you'd get fair hearing from the senate. You are seen as a traitor and someone who wants to single-handedly institute a coup in the senate. They'd sink you. They'd ostracize you. Expect it. You can't win this fight in their chambers. Look at it: how many of your female colleagues have openly supported you? Infact, they say you are too close to Akpabio and probably deserved the proposition. They are even pushing the narrative of character flaws. I'd advise you to prepare for what is to come.
