Well, I live in Abuja and I have lived in Lagos and I can say, they are almost the same.

Every agent here charges 7-10k as inspection fee which some of them claim will cover for your inspection until you find a house. While others say it expires after 2 months

But thing is:

They only ginger the first time you pay and may not get a call for a house you fancy thereafter so yohr money is gone.

I also faced being shown a house that’s diferent fröm the one he showed in his WhatsApp status. He took me there after he insisted I paid his TP. And yeah! After I had paid him inspection fee.

And this man took me to a house that was diferent and making me feel like I was daft not to know it was a diferent apartment. He kept insisting it is the same house. Then, when I refused to bulge, he started on to convince me that this house is better.

Most of the houses they post are clickbait. Oh! Yeah! I eventually signed up to be an agent and I found out jt was a tactic to lure people to holler them.

They post houses rhat are too good to be true and then when you reach out to them and pay inspection fee, and their tp to the place, they can maintain their livelihood.

But I agree with you that it may not be same in all parts of Nigeria.
