Buba Galadima, a member of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP said that Nigerians clamouring for the party’s presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso to be the running mate of his (Kwankwaso) Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi are not politicians.

A former police officer who honoured a television interview interview in full police uniform, was arrested on Wednesday June 29 on charges of impersonating police officers.

The former policer officer identified as, Monica Wamaitha Gitau, is a Kenyan politician vying for Nairobi Women Representative seat on Usawa Party ticket. She retired from the Administration Police in 2011.

Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, who is the Commander of the Ondo State Security Network, otherwise known as Amotekun, has revealed that some of the suspects involved in the June 5 terror attack at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, have been apprehended.

The Lagos state Police command and the Inspector- General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, were blasted by Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, for assigning five operatives of the Force to protect a musician, Burna Boy.

US- based lawyer, Bruce Fein, has accused the Federal Government of planning to imprison the Kanu till death without trial.

Fein, lawyer of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, made the claim in a letter to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, where he warned the group not to sit on the legal fence.

The Lagos State Police Command has reacted to panic over motorcycle operators’ popularly called okada riders “plan to cause violence”.

Ahead of the June 1 enforcement of the ban on Okada operations, the riders reportedly threatened to disrupt social and commercial activities.

This is to protest the embargo on the use of motorcycles within six Local Government Areas.

A statement on Monday by Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin assured the people of Lagos of safety.

Senator Ademola Adeleke’s campaign billboards are being set ablaze in Ejigbo town, Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State.

Sources told DAILY POST that a mob was observed destroying and tearing down the billboards in parts of the town.
