On Monday night a village, Unguwan Bulus, in Zaman Dabo community, Atyap Chiefdom in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State was attacked by suspected Fulani militias killing about six persons, injuring others and set houses as well as valuables ablaze.

The suspected Fulani militias were said to have invaded the village in large numbers with sophisticated weapons while the villagers were asleep.

A source told DAILY POST that one of the attacked is critically injured and is presently receiving treatment in a hospital.

According to the source, the suspected Fulani militias came around 10 pm and started shooting sporadically thereby causing the deaths of the victims.

The Government of Kaduna State has confirmed that fatalities were recorded in the terrorist attack on a train along Abuja-Kaduna route on Monday.

Embattled deputy commissioner (DCP) of police, Abba Kyari, and four other defendants have pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them by the NDLEA.

The suspended super cop and six others were this morning arraigned before the NDLEA at a Federal high court in Abuja. They are accused of obstruction and dealing in cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms.

The other defendants in the charge marked FHC/ABJ/57/2022 include Sunday J Ubia, Bawa James, Simon Agirigba, and John Nuhu. The three defendants are members of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT). Others are Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne, two alleged drug traffickers who were arrested at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.



When the charges were read to them by Joseph Sunday, NDLEA director of prosecution and legal services, Kyari and four other defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges. However, the sixth and seventh defendants entered a “guilty” plea and begged the court for mercy.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has provided more details in the 25kg cocaine bust involving disgraced police DCP Abba Kyari.

A 7-year-old girl has reportedly gone blind after a neighbour allegedly poked his fingers into her eyes.

A Facebook user, who claims to know the girl and her mother, shared the story on the platform.

She claims the girl, named Mesoma, supports her mother who works at the oil mill in Anambra.
