International News house, CNN has released a comprehensive findings from an independent investigation carried out on the October 20 shooting incident at the Lekki tollgate.

CNN shared footage of what appears to be Nigerian soldiers shooting at the #EndSARS protesters who had gathered at the tollgate to press home their demands to end SARS as well as end police brutality.





CNN in its investigation spoke with a man, Elisha Sunday, whose brother, Victor, was killed during the October 20th shooting incident.



According to the media house, about 100 protesters who were at the scene when the shooting occurred were contacted. They claim the soldiers indeed fired shots at them.

The media house also tracked the bullets shells seen at the Toll Gate and the companies that supplied the Nigerian Army Weapons since 2005



Recall Nigeria drew global attention when military men stormed the Lekki toll plaza where #EndSARS protesters gathered and fired gunshots.





Shortly after the incident, Governor Sanwo-Olu in a press conference stated that no sitting governor controls the rules of engagement of the military. On October 26, the governor granted an interview to CNN where he stated that only two deaths were recorded from the incident. He added that he visited the scene the next day and couldn’t find bloodstains.

On the day of the incident, the Nigerian Army took to its Twitter handle to deny claims its personnel was at the scene of the incident.




On October 27, the Army broke its silence and alleged that the Lagos state governor invited them to help quell the violence that erupted after the protest was hijacked by hoodlums.

The Nigerian Army went further to say its men only fired a blank bullet and they were attacked by the protesters.

Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Human rights activist, Femi Falana has been dragged to the International Criminal Court (ICC) by an organisation, Make Nigeria Better Initiative (MNBI).

Report reacting JFB this morning has it that some hoodlums on Tuesday set ablaze a police station at Orile Iganmu area of Lagos State.

Some unidentified men who are said to have hijacked the End SARS protest had stormed the area and set the police station on fire.



As at the time of filing this report, the station is currently in flames.





Meanwhile, hoodlums had also burnt down Ugbekun police station in Benin and released some prisoners.

The Nigeria Governor’ Forum (NGF) in an emergency meeting has appealed to #EndSARS protesters to call off the demonstrations across the country.



The NGF made the appeal on Sunday October 18. On Sunday, Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerian President, met behind closed door with the leadership of the National Assembly at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed that there were attempts to breach its website.

A legion of hackers, known as Anonymous, had claimed responsibility for hitting the agency’s internet platform.

The Police Service Commission has debunked reports that Assistant Commissioner of Police Abayomi Shogunle and Chief Superintendent of Police Dolapo Badmos have been dismissed or demoted for misconduct.

In a statement released by the Police Commission spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, he asked the public to disregard a viral list list, indicating that the two officers were among 37 others purportedly sacked by the police.

Shogunle is a former head of the Police Public Complaint Response Unit, while Badmos is a former spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command and later the Zone II Command.

A list purportedly submitted by the Presidential Panel on Police Reforms was Saturday afternoon posted online, listing names and service numbers of 37 officers alleged to have been recommended for dismissal, demotion, or warning.



Ikechukwu Ani, went further to say there was no iota of truth to the viral report.

The Federal Government has disclose that the ongoing nationwide protest is no longer peaceful, warning that it will not fold its hands and allow the country to be thrown into anarchy.

A police officer was arrested by Federal Capital Territory Abuja police command for allegedly killing a 19-year-old barber, Jonah Samson, in Dutse-Apo area on Saturday, October 3.



According to reports, the trigger-happy police officer allegedly stormed the community with threats of killing one or two people, and fired a gunshot into the air. When residents of the area appealed to him to stop, he allegedly fired another one which sadly hit the barber who was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was rushed to.

Eight-year-old son was abandoned by his mum at a petrol station after claiming he was ‘too naughty’ to look after.

Donald Trump, the President of USA, was rushed to the hospital on Friday evening, October 2, amid reports he is “struggling to breath” after contracting the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.

After it was reported Trump was “struggling to breathe,” White House doctor Sean P Conley said Trump was given a dose of Remdesivir and that the president is “doing very well” and “is not requiring any supplemental oxygen.”

Jigawa state Governor Badaru Abubakar’s Special Adviser on Community Development and Social Inclusion, Mr. Hamza Mohammed, and other top government officials of the state were on September 29 attacked by an angry mob.

Self acclaimed prophet by the name Williams Benard, has been arrested by the Lagos state police command for allegedly swindling and raping ladies in search of a life partner on social media.
