The Ministry of Defence previously confirmed the drone - which caused minimal damage at the British military base - was not launched from Iran, but has not previously said where it originated from. Israeli army claims it struck IRGC drone headquarters in Iran The Israeli military says it carried out another wave of strikes. In a statement on X, the military claimed the air force hit dozens of sites linked to the Iranian government in several locations across Iran, including what it described as an IRGC drone headquarters. It said drones had previously been launched from the facility towards Israel and additional ones prepared for launch were stored there. 'Worse than his dad' - Iranians react to new supreme leader published at 14:01 14:01 BBC Persian has been hearing from people inside Iran about their reaction to the appointment of Ali Khamenei's son, Mojtaba, as the country's new supreme leader. A Tehran woman in her 40s describes Mojtaba as "worse than his dad". "If he’s alive, I think the US and Israel will target him. Until he was selected last night, everyone was chanting against Mojtaba. No one accepts him except the supporters of this regime," she says. Another Tehran woman, in her 20s, says he's "even more oppressive than his dad". "I really hope their lives [officials] end in the war; otherwise, if we’re under his rule, we're all dead," she says. Israel strikes Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon Israeli aircraft have attacked a Palestinian refugee camp near the southern Lebanese city of Sidon. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported “enemy warplanes launched two raids on the Ein el-Hilweh camp in Sidon.” It’s unclear if there are any casualties. Ein el-Hilweh is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. It is located on the outskirts of Sidon and is home to tens of thousands of residents already displaced by Israel. |
