Religion / Pagan Destruction Chronology (314-870 C.E) (share Your Own Views) by jantavanta(m): 10:00am On Sep 29, 2016
A Greek Researcher has investigated the history of his country and found a lot of evidence of genocidal activities by the Romans. He concludes that the spread of Christianity was effected by cultural appropriation, genocidal persecution and structural destruction.

Do we Africans disagree? But the Romans included Black People like Emperor Constantine who legalized persecution of Black Religions that were the foundation components of Christianity. Churches replaced Temples, at the surface.

314 Immediately after its full legalization, the Christian Church attacks the gentiles (non-Christians). The Council of Ancyra denounces the worship of Goddess Artemis.

324 The emperor Constantine declares Christianity as the only official religion of the Roman empire. In Dydima, Minor Asia, he sacks the Oracle of the god Apollo and tortures the pagan priests to death. He also evicts all non-Christian peoples from Mount Athos and destroys all the local Hellenic temples.

326 Constantine, following the instructions of his mother Helen, destroys the temple of the god Asclepius in Aigeai of Cilicia and many temples of the goddess Aphrodite in Jerusalem, Aphaca, Mambre, Phoenice, Baalbek, etc.
330 Constantine steals the treasures and statues of the pagan temples of Greece to decorate Nova Roma (Constantinople), the new capital of his Empire.

335 Constantine sacks many pagan temples of Minor Asia and Palestine and orders the execution by crucifixion of "all magicians and soothsayers." Martyrdom of the neoplatonist

I enjoyed the film, for its explanation of the African origin of the ginga in the Brazilian football style.

I never knew that the Capoeira dance is from ginga, when freed African slaves had to conceal it on the form of a dance.

African influence in Brazilian soccer, music, cuisine and religion. Let Africans value what the world has gained from us.

I would have been happy to hear of, let's say, "A fund to promote Nollywood films that showcase these values...."

Even the USA had to step in and subsidize Hollywood movies that downplay the social problems of USA and attract people from all over the world.

Nigerians can produce any kind of film they are funded to produce. Nollywood can boost Nigeria's economy, if supported the way Agriculture is presently being supported.

Importation of refined fuel accounts for 30-40% of our Forex demands, Dangote refineries @650,000 barrels/day eliminates that, coupled with some other refineries that'd be on stream in 2-3 years . . . that means we might likely be exporting as much as over 500,000 barrels per day of refined fuel -- Forex income! Tie in Dangote fertilizer, sugar, and rice mill (and other rice mills) eliminating need for Forex for those items. Dangote refineries is being engineered to deliver enough MW for the refineries and probably the whole of Lagos -- with improved power supply, comes reduced fuel consumption and a bustling and thriving economy -- luring investors in. #nairawins

I can go on, but lets leave it here for now . . .

For now, Dangote is an unavoidable stage in our desperate need for development. USA was like this a century ago, before anti-trust legislations questioned their "Dangotes"'s monopolies. No more Carnegies, Rockefellers, Guggenheims, etc. controlling the whole show.

The last time I checked, the children of the richest men and political juggernauts of yesteryears are not automatically the richest people or highest political office holders of today - using our own very country as a case study. In a nutshell, one's family financial background especially in a country like the US can't limits his potentials once it's well defined. Linus was neither from a poor family nor did funds hindered his aspirations. Choosing your team wisely is a virtue.

By the way, I mentioned Torvald Linus because she wanted to use him to justify her postulation that destiny plays major role in the conquest of someone like Mark and Bill Gates. I hope you'll understand where we're. Thanks.

Thanks. I understand. Looking back in time, did Linus Torvald's free open source vision turn out to be unwise? Was he altruistically giving out free, what others are making money out of?

You're smart no doubt about that. But believe you me when I say outside of mathematics 1 plus 1 doesn't equal 2.

Well, the reason why Torvald Linux and his ilks are not making money like Mark and Bill Gates is because; (1) a good product doesn't sell itself - the latter guys has better teams (managers, lobbyists, advertisers, marketers, specialist consultants etc) - remember business is all about packaging. (2) Bill and Mark knows their limits, so they had rather steal an idea of a better programmer and modify it .... boom they are up there and made. I hope you know of cases between Mark and the MySpace founder, and that of Bill vs Jobs ... these are just few examples in this regard.

The bitter truth is that many a time, people who gives their lives inventing products hardly live/have the monopoly to enjoy it. This is one of the reasons while people like Bill and Mark imitates - by the way, imitating is never a crime but faking is. Just as avoidance of tax is not a crime but evasion of tax is a crime. Also, I hope you have heard of bending the rule but not breaking it.

Bill Gates was born the Son of a multi-billionaire or millionaire. Why compare him with Linus who could not source capital like Bill?

Nigerian entrepreneurs can learn from the recent low-key business visit of Mark Zuckerberg.

With his visit and lifestyle, Zuckerberg communicated non-verbal messages to Nigerian entrepreneurs, to challenge their world-view about enterprise and sustainable wealth creation.

Work hard to succeed
Most people are superstitious. They expect the divine to interrupt nature and transform paupers overnight into millionaires through petitions and supplications. Unfortunately, superstitions and luck do not make people successful in business enterprise.

The [b]founding fathers of America[/b ]laid its foundation on the puritan ethics of honesty, responsibility, hard work and self-control. The divine is impartial. Saint or sinner, the laws of nature guarantee success to individuals who work purposefully and patiently hard to create wealth.

Steve Jobs and Stephen Wozniak worked hard when they started Apple in the former’s parents’ garage. Then he was 20 and in 10 years; Apple grew into a $2bn company with over 4,000 employees.

So

America is a aggresive settler-state with a birth defect that still haunts them today.
The Black and Asian Native Americans were killed off to take away their land and resources and slaves & indentured workers were brought to build up the industrial base. These Black people were later economically excluded/expropriated for several generations. There used to be a Black Walk Street which was destroyed by the Whites.

Apple Computer does not manufacture anything in the US.

The prosperity you see in USA is welded to your poverty here. Why were they opposed to Ajaokuta Steel?

I am not saying people there are not working hard. They do not play with work.

Almost anything can be grown here in the south, especially with present day technology where even cold loving plants have varieties that have been adapted to grow in hot climate. The problem is our perception of "farming" we most times associate it with poverty, but I think that is changing now, a lot of people are beginning to flock down this path

It is "oyel" money that made us associate farming with poverty.

I am aware that Google is registered in Nigeria.
Let there be Facebook Nigeria Limited, with a Country Manager. Then, we will have something to gain.

The names Francis, Franklin, Francesca, Francisco, Frankfurt are derivatives of the Franks.

This 1300s Frankish bronze coin has the obvious image of Black man. Such coins carry only the image of Rulers/Kings

I know that abroad for economic reasons , guys and girls find themselves having to share 2 or 3-room apartments with a common bathroom and kitchen.

But, the same room? It is possible. I have been in that situation, but never spent the night! smiley

From what I have seen in Big Brother Africa, it is only 20% of housemates that attach strings. The rest bond together so well that they can shower together without any strings attached, like kids.

Remain in Nigeria and deal with your self esteem problem.

Being in my own country does not bring me down. We have been miseducated about who we are in this world.

My country is the origin of Creation & Development, and therefore I need not acquire money to go and claim social benefits elsewhere, in lands recently populated by descendants of Dravidian Albinos, who many of us worship on Fridays and Sundays.

Remain in the Ice-cold weather. Make sure you pay your heating bills. But do not return to pontificate White Supremacy after interacting with those rif-raffs who come as 'expatriate', while you are there as 'immigrant'.
