Education / Re: What Happened To The Top Scoring Student In Your School? by jantavanta(m): 8:44am On Jun 02, 2017
It took me some time to realize that being a Top-scorer in class sometimes limits one to what is written in a book
and given in a class to learn. Unfortunately, not everything is written for one to learn in a class. Some things are deliberately hidden to
make one a robot top-scorer.
Let the world be your classroom (quoting a Nigerian VC).

Some top-scorers were unfortunate to have their education deliberately truncated by their classmates or family members, that is if
they are still alive. Some were told: "Come to my this/that", and they became bottom-scorers.

Those of us who survived should try to give back to a society full of people who have one story or the other to tell about the imperfect
educational system.

This your story is comparing apple and oranges. The prof was teaching, there is nothing wrong in bringing him to apply is knowledge into NITDA.

It won't be a problem if Nigeria is manufacturing cars and the guy is brought to coordinate the designing aspect. This body was just created to do nothing. What Nigeria needs is a national body that looks into safety of cars, set acceptable standards, etc as is done in other countries, or regions.

I am not against bringing in Nigerian experts in diaspora cool cool cool

I appreciate your explanation. I am learning more from you about how govt should support our car industry.

I mentioned the Prof, because back then I got some opinions that NITDA did not achieve its goal. The explanation given to me was that the ICT developmental needs of Japan was different from that of Nigeria. I do not know if that explanation would also apply to Cars.

I will still communicate later on.

So that is how other countries developed, by bringing back their intellectuals and using them to head boards. undecided undecided undecided

I was expecting the government to make some investment or encourage investors by giving them concessions if they can bring back Nigerian experts in diaspora to work in the companies. This would have ultimately translated to knowledge transfer for those at home. cool cool cool

Is it not demeaning for a designer to come back to head a board that has nothing to do with designing? The white experts will reject such jobs outright without a second thought, because it will kill their passion and career. wink wink wink

I recall that OBJ brought a Nigerian Prof from a Japanese University to head NITDA. Let us keep watching. This will be a test case for future reference.

Culture / Re: Black African Nobility Of Ancient Europe by jantavanta(m): 1:41pm On May 30, 2017
Gypsies are nomadic people of Europe, who have spread from Eastern Europe to Western Europe.
Some have suggested that Gypsies are from India. That was the same argument for the Native, Aboriginal or Indigenous Americans, who
were called "Indians". Even Indians of India migrated out of Africa over 50,000 years ago.

There was a time Africa had Black people with naturally straight hair. It is not only White people that can have straight hair.
White People are a sub-race of black people. Black People can have every body characteristic that White People have.

Chinese Gods are in their own image, unlike Nigeria that prefers imported Gods, and therefore has to import most of its Goods and Services.

It is not possible to register a child as "John" or "Aisha", because they are not Chinese names and the child will be regarded as an agent for domination by foreign powers. That is preservation of Cultural Independence.

Do they pack themselves in Churches and Mosques the way we do?

Seek ye the Kingdom of Cultural Independence and Knowledge Economy shall be yours.

Are Nigerians ready for this? No, they will rather ask for the mirage called Technology Transfer. Technology is a culture, which nobody transfers. Margaret Thatcher of UK made this clear to our then President.
Culture / Re: Black African Nobility Of Ancient Europe by jantavanta(m): 12:17pm On May 20, 2017
The Gypsies of Europe have a mixed heritage from the time when White People migrated into Eastern Europe from Central Asia.

The United Nations Statistics Division defines Eastern Europe as:

Belarus.
Bulgaria.
Czech Republic.
Hungary.
Moldova.
Poland.
Romania.
Russia.
Ukraine.

Gypsies are part indigenous Black Europeans mixed with settler White People. But you will not see this on television:

Anywhere in the World where White People settle among Black People, the indigenous Black People will be marginalised to gradual virtual/complete extinction; be it Americas, Europe or Asia.

Speaking to my fellow Nigerians, our Secondary School Geography/History teachers could not teach us this, because their textbooks were written by Colonial Masters, to alter our self-perception in preparation for Neo-colonialism. If we want to re-introduce History in Schools, which History will be taught? Our Story or His Story?

Not surprising. Due to better health care and higher standard of living, the average age for Western European women is higher than our own. That is why they need immigrants within the workforce age, and sometimes..... young Nigerian guys as husbands!

All people in the world were black at first. It's just through time, most of the people outside Africa became fair. The fair skin tone started to appear around 5,000-3,000 BC. So, we shouldn't be surprised that the Chinese were black at first.

I think its as a result of not been well informed. If you do your research you will know that we have very capable hands to operate on Fibroids. I did mine about a year ago after all the fear and negative information based on yesteryears information on fibroid. But believe me I never had any complications afterwards and in less than two days I was FULLY back to my normal life and this has changed my impression about this issue and I encourage anyone suffering from fibroid to go and remove the useless tumor.

Thank you for your enlightening response. I was told that it can also be removed during child delivery. Is it possible?

This is one area I will consider myself very lucky cos my beards grow so quick yet you won't even notice I grow beards..... I use shaving sticks sometimes without shaving powder or aftershave in fact I do this every 3 days grin grin and it takes just 5 minutes to look clean shaved.

Skin condition I guess

Another point to note is that I use the normal N50 shaving stick and dispose after use... No reuse.

Lucky you.

We aren't talking of subsidy here and on which product it is fixed upon. My resort is that diesel is fuel just as all other fossil fuels including petrol (pms), kerosene (both dpk and hhk), aviation fuel, coal, buthane etc.

Diferrentiating diesel from "fuel" and suggesting that "pms...popularly called "fuel"" is the anomally my previous post intended to clarify to you.

Alright I should have differentiated diesel from petrol. Thanks for the clarification.

What is diesel and what is fuel, biko??

Diesel is used by lorries and heavy duty generators. Premium Motor Spirit(PMS) which is popularly called "fuel" is what most cars and smaller generators use. The subsidy scam involved importers of PMS and not diesel, because subsidy was paid for only PMS. No subsidy was paid for diesel.
