I have seen stupidity, yours deserve a price. Spent 10 years under the bridge is different from spending 10 years helping people under the bridge. Learn to read before spewing your rubbish.

Future of this country is bleak.

I am currently watching the video and the guy is making sense. The contrary opinion of a dirty Yoruba moslem apc political jobber who will come here to say the speaker is not speaking for yoruba is inconsequential in this regard.
U cant preach against hatred and be the embodiment of hatred itself. If you cant tolerate and respect another man's religion and tribe, it shows you are still in a primitive state mind. Every man has a right to what they believe. If anybody is against wat the speaker, it doznt mk him/her dirty. It just makes such person opinionated.

Hatred in itself is denigrating. Stop it b4 asking others to

There was a time when Germans occupied France and killed their citizens the way Fulani troops have occupied Biafra territory and needlessly killed Biafrans.

The French rallied around the immortal call of their ancestors written in their national anthem ( La Marseillaise) to never give in to tyranny. Only you can free yourself if you so decide.

In like manner, the Biafrans should rally to the call of the French national anthem and arise against the Fulani oppressors.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laWIjgWDesE
Is this sarcasm cos its so hard to see through it. however I dont think twas the French anthem that saved France from German and Italian occupation, rather the help of the British and Americans.

If you were being sarcastic, then you're good.

what manner of rubbish is that?
I am assuming you dont understand how monarchy works. Do you knw the Queen of England can banish any of her subjects and even seize their properties. Monarchy is not an 'African thing'. It is practised worldwide. So of all problems dragging Africa behind, monarchy is actually insignificant.

personally, I think many comments here ain't saying the entire truth... there are many factors to put into consideration before taking such life-changing decision.
first among them is "Why does he want to study medicine and surgery? ". The reason for this decision is the determinant factor not even his age.

If he is going into it because of money or easy of securing employment, then that will be a very wrong decision. If at 25 he is already a blogger and an electrician, and has amassed a lot of money to train himself in medical school, he can use the money into something else and see the result in the next half a decade. Also Remember that even the doctors in this country are running out for greener pasture. Further more, since he is already into blogging, he can diversify in the ICT sector .....cos that where the next bunch of money will be coming from in this era.

if it is because he wants to answer doc, men he needs real counselling.

if it is because he wants to save life, then he can continue in his current career ( if it is paying wella oo) path and in the next 10 years have enough to even open a hospital.

what exactly does he want out of life....

why does he want to be a doctor?? Answer to this question should be the bases of his decision not his age.

You may have a point but I dont think I agree with the need for counselling if his choice of medicine is because of the prestige. Life is short and if answering Doc is ones dream of fulfillment, then we cant judge.

It is never too late. I have classmates who gained admission btw ages of 27 - 29. Tell your friend not to be perturbed, as dere is no age barrier to studying medicine.

And is your friend seeking admission via UTME or he has a degree before?

speak for yourself, yorubbers are unnecessarily hurt because they hate Goodluck Jonathan that's what Tinubu told them.

Yorubbers displayed their backstabbing skills during the election. Trusting them is the risk we can't take. They're more comfortable with the Arewa than us. So it's easy to kick them to their long time masters. As for tension, keep calm it's only August, September nova reach them to talk of October.
So from your post, you have a problem with people choosing their prefered choice of leader because its not your choice. Wake up, its called democracy. Yorubas dont hate Jonathan; they decided to vote for someone else as they have the right to. Pls grow up.

anyway the only time i heard of such in naija was when Modupe Ozuola visited nigeria and brought with her some US based plastic surgeons for ladies who were interested in lifting up their breast.
There are actually a handful in Nigeria, altho most are practising privately. Theres one popular one in Surulere, Grandsville or sumtin.

You are right. Biafra can decide not to be ECOWAS member State. But by default it will be a West African Country. At least we can agree on that, and ECOWAS is by default for West African States. And of-course countries who apply to become members outside the region.

You are also right on statement that our ability to re-visit our bias makes us rational. That is something that our ego constantly fights against. I hope more and more people can understand your statement and alter their biased mindset. We have ability to change our minds be more global and fix the mess.

I hope Nigeria and Nigerians know that the direction that our politicians have plunged our country to, is what brings up the ripple effects that are seen all over the place. Secessionist movements is just one of the outcome of a society that has malfunctioned. There are going to be more problems if the structural parameters are not correctly immediately.
I think we have found a common ground.

Let me start my saying, I am not a tribal human specie, I was not born into the Igbo tribe and my tribes men are not in anyway on this internet supporting any tribe. We are a small tribe of excellent minds. We are not sentimental. So, let us discuss as humans without the bias that flows from our ignorant nation space that our parents birthed us into. Nature intended that we be birthed here so we can change things not to destroy them.

You did not even know that VISA was not required from ECOWAS member states, I educated you on that. Yet you have raised another issue erroneously. If you want to ask me a question, do so directly, because right now you are presenting an erroneous statement with a positive outlook. It is not the way to ask questions when in doubts.

Please ask me any questions and I will educate you on it. Like I said, I do not have time for emotional tantrums, I only chat with you because you apologized before and showed respect to me and I, to you.

Nigeria is a West African State, so any part of Nigeria remains in the West Coast of Africa. That is what is meant by West Africa. And ECOWAS means, Economic Community of West African States. Biafra by default will be a West African country.
You have a point by saying by default, Biafra SHOULD be a part of ECOWAS. But i also hope you know, Biafra can decide against joining the Organisation. A good example, is UK planning on opting out on EU.

Sorry i had to burst in uninvited. #JustSaying. And P.S. without bias, we arent humans. Our ability to revisit our bias makes us rational.

Let me guess you are yoruba like him, so you have the same I.Q level as his.

Biafrans tell you they want to have a different nation from people like you. You and your brother the OP, open your mouths and go around calling them 'Illiterates', 'braiwashed', 'id.iots', 'Touts', 'unemployed'.

Does intelligence in your native yoruba school of thought mean abusing people who want a different future in a country seperate from your likes? grin
1. Being Yoruba has no influence on ones IQ status. Apparently no tribe has such grace. I expect you to know that.

2. I have read thru the thread and i didnt see anywhere the OP called anyone what you placed up there. And you say I go around calling people such is childish and churlish.

3. If you can type that 3rd paragraph, then there should be no need to keep replying you.

ECOWAS member states do not require VISA. With just your international passport you can visit any of the 16 member states without a VISA. Biafra, if it comes to fruition will be a member of ECOWAS and the extant laws will supercede local laws.

This is why I advise people not to be tribalists or even nationalists. As much as possible, people should be global citizens that can choose to live at any part of the globe as long as good life is assured. This is the original intention of nature.

When people's view becomes narrow, their limitations becomes amplified. Such situations bring all sorts of dissonants and discordant issues due to limited resources and death of possibilities.

There is a place that 100K naira monthly recurring income can make you live like a King and there is yet another place that you can not survive with a 100K income stream. A natural being is supposed to drift towards the location that he is more comfortable living with his resources available instead of sitting tight and increasing his attempt to make more money and dying there because of the 'Na my papa land' syndrome.

Humans were designed with left hemisphere, right hemisphere and frontal lobe of the brain. While the left hemisphere, processing data from consciousness mind which deals with logic, analytics, etc; the right hemisphere regulates the sub-conscious mind as it deals with intuition, language etc while the frontal lobe helps you change your mind from consciousness to sub-conscious constructs. I am hopeful that your frontal lobe will help you change your mind in terms of thinking globally instead of limiting yourself to the limitations that your environment has foisted on you.

Be different.

M not the pedant type, buts it hard not to point out that the frontal lobe is actually part of the right and left cerebral hemisphere. Sorry, just had to point that out.

This is a beautiful forum where you guys could showcase the intelligence you've always been keen to brag about. Instead most i av seen are insults reserved for the mod.

* Well, I have to be smart (No kidding).

* I have to compromise a little on my tight rule of no midnight reading. I eventually settled on 8 - 2/3pm.

* No more video games for the next 13 weeks (end of Block 1).

*No more evening football....(sad)

*Whole weekend is for jacking (reading). Whole!!! Well maybe except Sunday mornings. Sighs.

* Read as crazy.

* Am i permitted to breath tho? Cos seems like this class is taking everything away (think Gollum in Lord of the Rings: My precious, My precious!!!!). LOL.

However, I chosed medicine. I have to give it my all. No backing out.
