Lectures started and they moved as fast as a train. Did I say train? Delete that. They moved faster than light. God!!! I lost control of my time. Morning? Class. Afternoon? Class. Evening? Labs. Night? Confused. People who had been following me for a while will remember I hate reading during the midnight. I frigging hate it. But how do I survive this class with that ethos. I come back from school around 6pm or later. Definitely I have to sleep for 2 hours or so. So what do I cover between 8 and 11pm. Things have to change. Things definitely have to change. And football? How do I play football? God, I miss those sweet Anatomy days. And my weekends!!!! EPL was blowing hot, even tho' my beloved Arsenal were already in a rotten form. I'm going to miss my EPL so badly. Okay, this class is hell. Hell!!!! No time to breath. Lecturers drop slides like its hot (lyrical ). 100 pages, 150 pages, 200 pages. Just name it. Sighs. 26 weeks people. 26 weeks. Cos this class no be beans mehn. Especially those Histopath, even Chem Path. In short, all of them. They just dump everything on us, like we are sponges. Soaking sponges. Sighs. Okay enough with the rant. Phew!!!! One thing is true tho. PathPharm is a crazy class. |

Why do I have to read Pharmacology that much? Well because it accounts for half of my MB result. The other 4 courses accounts for the other half.
Hence, the PathPharm class is a class for being smart. Funny thing is Histo Path is about 2-3 times bulkier than Pharmacology and people tend to read it more than others. But the reality is Histo Path makes up just 25% of possible scores possible to be acquired in PATHOLOGY. So in the best case scenario, you score 20 of the 25 and neglect the other 3 courses in Pathology; that's failure. It gets worse when Pharmacology is neglected. That 100% on its own.
The clue is: In this class, you have to get on your mojo early and fast. And be smart. Very smart. |

After the 4 weeks of walking round the hospital in the name of CLS 1, PathPharm officially started. Well, one major difference between this and my 300 level days is that, this class is more of a sprint than a marathon. Its just 26 weeks, so one has to start running early.
For the courses, well, I immediately fell in love with Hematology. Why? I am not sure I know. Probably it has a lot of foundation in the knowledge of Physiology or probably I love blood (Vampire style)...hehehe.
I felt normal about Chemical Pathology. I felt too confident on Medical MCB (I'm a MCB graduate remember). And Histo Path is bulky. More like a challenge (I like the chase).
Pharmacology is dope. But its too volatile. You read a paragraph and you forget in a minute. Urrggggh. Anyways I have got no option than to read this course like no tomorrow |

sexybbstar: A Muslim cleric Sakariyau Abdulrofiu; Ibrahim Ayuba and Yusuf Aliu have confessed that they killed UNIOSUN student, Oluwafemi Shonibare. The confession was made on Tuesday night when they were paraded at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo. The trio said they wanted to use the student for money ritual.
Abdulrofiu said that they hit Shonibare with a pestle on the head and later butchered him. He stated that the deceased’s head was roasted but said that luck eventually ran out on them and they were apprehended by the police.

What do Igbos really want?
I have always pride myself as a non-tribalistic and flexible guy, but the hatred I am seeing here is really getting to me.
You said Hausas are planning to usurp the VP to prevent Yorubas from ruling the nation, and that gladdens your heart. Of what benefit is that to your region? How does that ensure the development of Igbo land? But no, most of the comments here suggest Yorubas are meeting their waterloo. Whats with you people? When did hating become the air you breath? Just to spite Yorubas or what?
If Osinbajo is usurped and sparks a tribal issue, will it make you Easterners joyful? If Osinbajo steps down, you say he is a coward. If he lobbies for the presidency, you say Yorubas are greedy.
Hatred is damaging. I read alot of comments here and I feel sad for people and even for myself because subconciously we act based on what we read.
Igbos, we Yorubas dont hate you. We've accomodated you in our lands. Some of us even pray you get your break away nation. But the fact we disagree in political stance shouldnt breed this hatred. At the end of the day, we are all humans.
Sorry the ranting became too much. Cheers. |

Romance › Re: Have You Ever Regretted Saying No To A Person? Why? by jargo89(m): 8:47am On Jul 04, 2017 |
ZarZar: OK, I don't regret it per se but I've always wondered what if.
I met a "perfect stranger" once, it was when I was about 17 or 18 years old. It was the school holidays & I was going back to my hometown, to spend time with relatives. My sister dropped me off at the bus terminus & I boarded my bus, really not looking forward to the long journey ahead. I was sitting alone, the seat next to me was empty & I put a bag on it on purpose because I didn't feel like small talk with whomever was going to sit next to me. The bus moved from one city to the next, it was there that he boarded the bus. There was not that much available space inside, so I had to give up "my" other seat. I didn't even look up to see who was sitting next to me, I was feeling that much antisocial at the time
A very long moment of silence between us went, but then he broke the ice by asking if it was my 1st time going to EL. I told him no I was born there. He admitted it was his 1st time & that he was going there to meet his brother. The conversation soon moved on to other general things. We were no longer strangers. He talked a lot lol. As he spoke, I was busy "studying" him. He was attractive
Long story short, he did some things for me during our trip, that really touched me to the core. 1) was when the bus stopped so we could all stretch some legs & buy refreshments. I've bought food before I boarded the bus but I didn't buy anything to drink. I planned to buy some juice at the place where it stopped. But it was dark & freezing cold outside, so I didn't feel like going outside the heated bus. He said he wanted to buy airtime at the convenient store & asked if I needed anything. I gave him money to bring me some juice. To my surprise, he came back with so many things, he could barely hold them. He gave me back my money & said everything he bought was for me, his "new friend". I almost cried. Honestly, I'm easily touched by random acts of kindness. I was really digging him at this point, just not in a BF/GF kind of way. Anyway, the next morning we arrived at my hometown. It was raining hard. This guy quickly bought an umbrella & we huddled under it like a couple I told him I was gonna go catch my taxi home, but he begged me to wait with him. His brother was coming to fetch him. Since he's been good to me & it was his 1st time, I decided to sit with him until his brother arrived. When his brother arrived, he offered to drop me home. Amazingly, we were going to the same part of the city, so it wasn't going to be an inconvenience on their part. His brother told me he had to 1st drop groceries at his house as some things were going to melt. I had no problem going with them because he was talking to his wife on the phone, so I knew I was safe going with them to their house. OMG, when we got there, the wife made such a huge fuss over me. She thought I was the younger brother's GF lol. I explained that we met at the bus, she said but you make such a cute couple blah blah blah She said no you can't go home now, you have to come in for breakfast etc. I spent almost 3 hours with them. They were such a lovely family & they treated me like family too. Later they dropped me off at home. I saw them again 2 or 3 times after. I was invited to a party they were throwing. The "boo" gave me his cell number, but I didn't have a phone at the time, so we kinda lost touch that way.
I will never forget those people for as long as I live. Plus I was at a dark place in life at the time, so they really made me feel like I was human, yanno. Lovely post. |

Ngozi123: This word alone shows why your analogy is flawed. Not true. Awolowo masterminded the plan, with the help of Fajuiyi and some soldiers, including Ifeajuna. I don't actually believe that Nzeogwu was a mastermind behind it as he got involved quite late into the planning. It involved people from across Nigeria. If you believe Awolowo masterminded it without any prove to show it, who am I to argue with you? Anything that rocks your boat. Like I said, let it slide. |

Ngozi123: I honestly didn't read your question but now that I have, I don't think that it's a good analogy to use considering all of the other factors surrounding the coup. Using your analogy, the coup consisted of an Igbo man running around Nigeria, killing all non-Igbo politicians. This was not the case and the fact that you think that it was makes me question your judgment. Not an Igbo man, but a group with majority being Igbo officers. Those who dictated the show were definitely Igbos. Now, I wont want this argument to become to deep in tribalism, hence, I would suggest we let it slide. Sensitive topics like this can go South easily. |
Politics › Re: Igbo Soldiers Plotted Coup From Independence Day -david Ejoor by jargo89(m): 3:07pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
Ngozi123: You may not be but Ejoor certainly is, hence his constant use of the word "Igbos" when referring to the coup plotters despite admitting that there were non-Igbos involved in it. He didn't even bother to say "Igbo coup plotters" or even "Igbo soldiers" but just "Igbos" thereby generalising the whole ethnic group. It shows his contempt for the Igbos imo.
Btw, the coup plotters most definitely did not "sow a seed of discord". Have you seen some of the tribalist comments from prominent Nigerian politicians prior to the coup? You conveniently avoided my question though. It's all good dear. I pray God's will be done |

I am not trying to justify jungle justice, but to make a point that money should not be the Lawyer's motive in taking up the case. Are you saying if you sell cars and Evans approach you to buy cares, you will decline selling due to your morals? He is a lawyer. He studied law so he can make money from practising and feeding his family. So he isnt different from a car seller. He paid money through law school, he's earning his money now. |

Ngozi123: Look at how he has run away after trying to insult me... shame on him. The whole thing just stinks of lies and deceit and the only people who'll believe are either gullible or so full of hatred for Ndigbo that they'll accept anything that portrays us negatively. That man is a disgusting tribalist and I hope that he gets his just rewards for his actions. There are always two sides to a coin dear. Dont get dragged into tribalism. You may not believe but he has said he's part of the story which some has testified to. No one is trying to portray Igbo as negative. I certainly am not. Those first coup plotters though made a wrong decision that planted a seed of discord and a negative chain reaction. If killing political leaders of other regions except those of the East wont bring suspicion, what else will. Imagine if a Yoruba man at your place of work sacks all top officials from Igbo and Hausa extraction but leave the Yorubas. What will you suspect dear? Your suspicion wont be on hatred then but based on common sense. |

Sacluxpaint: Nope, but mind you ethics are guided by morals. Great minds will tell morals can be misguided but ethics are clearly stated. Let give you an example: An overzealous doctor due to being a Christian that believes abortion is wrong may decide in a situation where the mother is at risk to try and avoid doing it. And the ethics of Medicine and even laws of the nation allows abortion if the mother is at risk. The Doctor was clearlly morally guided by trying to save both but eventually he might kill both. I am not in the position to claim you are wrong. Who am I? But morals can be misused and thus in all professions is seen as a lesser guide than ethics. |

Sacluxpaint: Your question doesn't relate to what I posted but to answer you I will say there is no difference.
My point is as humans, we have conscience. The lawyer has suppressed his conscience to proceed to defend such a person. The judiciary at the moment is having serious integrity issues and this lawyer at the moment is not helping. Yes Evans hasn't been charged but mind you there is a subsisting court order to keep him for 3 months before being charged. What do you suggest then? Him not being represented? That kind of contradicates the whole judicial process Ethics comes before morals. As a doctor, I have to treat my patient and never divert the information about his health to anybody without his consent. I can only notify the police of his presence. It doesnt mean I am corrupt, it is just the ethics of my profession. Have you heard of any criminal outside the country that wasnt represented legally in court? |
