rainylad:You are a lady and i expected more from you. Read what the VP said and see he is actually in support of Igbos. He was warning the Arewa youths. My dear sister, dont get clouded by tribalism; its like being in a bottomless pit. Embrace everyone based on their goodness not their tribe which is actually determined by God. Ask yourself if your parents were Yorubas; will you repeat the above statement? |
Nbote:And you call *this* developing. Kidnapping people for ransom. How on earth can you support this? Where is your conscience? So we should be ashamed of not kindnapping to build mansions?. This country has lost all forms of hope if our youths reason this way. |
Mj45:I am pretty sure, i didnt call you one. If there is anyone jumping here, it should be you. You gave an opinion and I countered with another; and somehow, I have jumped into conclusion? You know sometimes, people can share differing opinions and still be civil and objective. |
Ajet001:During MB exams? NO |
Ajet001:76 - 100 is usually refered to being impossible to obtain. 0 - 49 is failure. Altho border marks of 47 - 49 will be given a chance for upgrade during their orals |
Omoluabi16:Yorubas and Hausa have always been at the far end of any spectrum. But its easier for them to relate due to the diplomatic attitude of Yorubas. The East on the other side have issues with Yorubas as they feel we are substandard to them. And no tribe can stand denigration. |
Mj45:I usually dont want to comment on tribal issues but i'll drop my two pence. With the hatred expressed here towards Yorubas; how do you feel any will trust your Biafra enthusiast to support them. Yorubas dont like the Hausas mutually but liking Biafrans would have been easier if not for the superior complex exhibited by a relevant minority. Wheneva you guys have issues with the North, your first call is Afonja this and that. Instead of facing those you have issues with, you tend to circumvent to blame Yorubas. How does Biafra creation affect an average Yoruba man? It has neither negative or positive effect. Instead of being diplomatic and avoid generation of ill feelings from a region you know is known for diplomacy; you guys feel generating hatred is the best option. I am a nobody to implore people but still I will advice Yorubas to stay out of issues involving Biafrans. Cos am sure we are not ready to force people to stay. I repeat: no one wants to force you to stay. Create Biafra and enjoy it. Other regions too will survive; so will yours. Note my use of Biafra and not Igbo. Cos i av a lot of Igbo friends who do not exhibit the high grade stupidity i see on this forum. |
Humility017:You cant be too sure of that. Most footballers play for reputable countries for age-grade tournaments, but prefer the senior teams of their birth nation; an example is Zaha. The reason is mainly becos during this period; they have a better chance of developing in those 'developed' countries than the African countries. But as they age, and it bcomes difficult to enter the team, they start to deviate towards the country of birth. However, this ia not in all cases such as in Alli's case. |
After my results, I had a brief review of my pre clinical period and i drew out some conclusions: * I needed to improve on my spontaneity; as that cost me my Distinction in Physiology. As a medic, you have to learn how to recall the important stuff needed as early as possible. Its easier said than done tho; but its possible. One has to be able to separate the needed stuff from the shaft. This has a higher implication in oral exams. * I needed to read wider. Altho reading within the required syllabus makes you a (very) good student, it doesnt make you distinct. An A student has that extra something others lack. * I needed to stop seeing practical sessions as jokes....lol. Ok lessons learned. PathPharm here we come. |
Humility017:There is still hope as long as they havent been given a senior debut. |
PureWays:I'll try to believe you then. |
5pm on the D-Day. Okay here i am staring at the board and scanning. Yes!!! Thats my matric number. Okay with 3 Cs... No A... But hey still, I passed. I did it. First MB done and dusted. Thank God Almighty. |
PureWays:99% is on the high side; even though i agree generally with you. But still; i've had very good non-sexual female friends over the years. I feel the issue stems from both sides. Most women feel a guy is waisting their time, if he hasnt asked them out. And some guys are scared of being seen as "friendzoned". |
PureWays:Hehehe.....i'll remember that. |
Well i killed the orals for Anatomy and Biochemistry; Physiology was constantly on my mind. I should have killed it. However; the results were to be released the folowing day after the orals ended. Shey twas tension that i was going through before; this one was beyond mere tension. That morning was the longest morning the world have witnessed. And i am sure i must have pretty much spent it muttering: Lord please dont forsake me. Brethren, the most prayerful human on earth is a medical student awaiting his MB result. Lol... |
PureWays:But you know; a lot of ladies get it twisted when receiving attention. Not all moves are intended for ulterior motives. Sometimes, making new friends might be the proximate cause. |
PureWays:Really? Dont know if i should see that as a compliment or feel sad. LOL!!! |
After the theories and practicals, the orals were to follow. We started with Physiology. A schedule was prepared with the potential distinction students sectioned under the external invigilator. Brothers and sisters; i was tensed. You know the feeling of not knowing where in the love of anything right, the question you might be asked. Well i was the last to enter. Mehn see procold shaking things. I sha ended up packaging myself. Then all of a sudden the HoD bellowed: He's our best student sir. He's all yours. Oboy i could have melted lyk a candle wax if not for the AC. Part of me could have tho. Funningly the questions werent too tough. But my initial lack of confidence, created a vacuum between my consciousness and my autorhythm. Anyways did my best and left; though i knew twast enuff |
Still on Part 1 MB; Biochemistry was actually easy compared to the others. However the single choice style made it trickier. And blimey i made a little error during the practical sessions Physiology was also cool; guess all were cool then. But, regulars would have read a lot of my love for Physiology, hence twas a special exam for me. My cummulated C.A. was 20.7; thus i was expecting an A. Well; that was my expectation but it didnt pan out lyk that. |
PureWays:There wasnt a need for one bro. All in good spirit. |
adeniyi3971:Pathology and Pharmacology got me tied down. Through with the first posting though. |
Wow!!! Been a long while.... Well, currently on a clinical posting in Endocrinology. The past 4 weeks were however spent in Surgery. Sit back; therez a lot of gist... |
PureWays:Thanks alot. Dont we all need a lil of it in our lives? *smiles* |
. |
sexybbstar:I hope me saying 'hi' on your 'just' opened post isnt percieved as being rude? |
eterisan:Yeah i watched both season of their succesful Champions League victories. And you are right on Dele Aiyenugba coming in for penalties. P.S. Dosu wasnt really a great goalkeeper tho. He was average at best. |
ZarZar:Yeah; loved that movie |
kennysville:Seconded. You are right. I remember him saving one Paul Scholes' bullet against the post. |
This should rank as the most sensible post i have read on this site. You've said well |
thoollz:Must u showcase ignorance publicly? I know you are a Chelsea fan; so i'll ask you: Do you have up to half of Arsenal's league title? No you dont, so shut up. Leicester? What are you smoking? |
iluvpomo:Is dere any special tin abt NL; this guy is starting to literally make me laugh!!! So every world acheivements b4 Nairaland are null and void accordin to you. LMAO!!! Let me spend my time doin oda tins dear |
