I recently bought a tokunbo 2009 Rav4. I have observed the fuel consumption to be on the very high side.
For example it requires 20litres of fuel to Lagos Island from Magodo and come back without air conditioning.
Its an I4 engine no check engine light is on I scanned it but didn't throw any codes

Pls is 20ltres of fuel for such distance not too much?
Please what can I do.

Yes Nigeria close land borders all over Nigeria don't mean you can't still buy your cars in cotonou, but you can't do your car duty in seme border anymore for now. If you buy your cars from cotonou, we will have to go down to tinca in lagos to do your duty. We have two ways of doing it, if you are shipping cars from outside Nigeria the price for duty is high,and if you have car in Nigeria and you want to do your duty the price is low. So all we do is to tell them the car is already in Nigeria we just want to pay the duty for it.

Once the duty is paid we will go back to seme where you car is parked at the cotonou escourt Park and drive the car to your destination, that all. You can't restrict the forex that I sourced by myself because it has nothing to do with CBN directive.Only CBN can do that and there is no sense in that.All the banks follows due process as laid down by CBN.Its questionable and I don't know why they have the gut to be doing that.You can't use their card anymore and now they are restricting access to your own USD.No need to query an organization that defies logic but just to dump them and ask your loved ones to do the same.Lets leave their inefficiencies and concentrate on market.
