It seems there are many children here. So calm down people. You all want Siasia right? Why? Cos he did well at age-group tournaments ba? Have you people asked yourself if he actually WON any of those tournaments? Yes he did win the African version of the U-20s but so what? Did you people not critically evaluate his Egypt '09 team? Samson Siasia is not good enough to handle our national team. He is a most cantankerous character and you will find that most of his ex-team mates do not like him much neither his ex coaches. One of the most talented footballers ever to play for Nigeria and my personal favourite national team player of all time. But a good coach that does not make or even a good person! Not one person who knows him is surprised that he is haggling about money. That man is driven by money to the extreme! Someone should go and ask Rashidi Yekini about Samson Siasia. Like JJ, and very much UNLIKE Keshi, he is not a very patriotic man - at least in his unterrances and actions that I know of. I would not give him the job now. And he really should not take it. His reputation is about to be battered. And very shortly too.

Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) leading aspirant for the presidential ticket in Nigeria, Gen Ibrahim Babangida, has assured that he will not seek a second term if he triumphs in his current quest.

Babangida told journalists in a telephone conference that he will run the office of president if voted in for only four years and then work towards the emergence of a South-Easterner to succeed him in 2015.

“My belief in zoning informed my desire to seek for one term so that we can allow other parts of the country to have a fair share in the presidency,” he said, adding that he would love to see an Igbo man succeed him in 2015 to fully integrate that region which had sought to secede in the late 1960s.

He said the insistence of states in the northern zones on the maintenance of the zoning formula established by the PDP should not be seen as war against President Goodluck Jonathan, but a struggle for equity, justice and fair play.

“When we were advocating for zoning, it was not because anyone had anything against President Jonathan. We were advocating for zoning to ensure every one has a sense of belonging,” the former Nigerian president pointed out.
