Abuja - A Customary Court in Garki, Abuja, on Wednesday reserved judgment till Jan. 18, in a divorce suit brought by Mr James Onyike, a business man, for the dissolution of his 10-year-old marriage. Onyike had prayed the court to dissolve his marriage to his wife, Patricia, which had produced two children, saying that it had broken down irretrievably. He also prayed the court to grant him custody of the children. The petitioner said that problem started in 2008 when his wife travelled to London for a one-year course and did not come back home when it ended. He said that rather than come home, Patricia extended her visa and enrolled for another one-year course. In his petition, Onyike said that his spouse had not communicated with him since she left for London, and that she was always abusive whenever he tried to communicate with her. Onyike added that Patricia was very hostile when she came to Nigeria in September, 2010, and that when he visited her in London, she threw his belongings out of the room. He further said that since her return to Nigeria in June, they had not been on speaking terms although they lived under the same roof, adding that he had stopped eating at home. However, the Judge, Mr Ismaila Suleiman, ruled that the court had accepted the petitioner’s affidavit since the respondent did not challenge it. Suleiman also ordered the respondent to stop harassing, assaulting or threatening the life of the petitioner, and that they should maintain a peaceful co-existence pending the determination of the case. |

Lagos State Government has said it will now revoke the Certificates of Occupancy of any property rented to convicted armed robbers in the state. The state Governor, Babatunde Fashola, made the declaration at the Town Hall meeting of the state’s Security Trust Fund. He added that the state would also acquire such property for public use. The governor said the measure became necessary to further curb crimes in the state. Fashola added that his administration was determined to remove the challenges posed by insecurity in the state. He said it was part of the reasons the government established the LSSTF in 2007. He said, "It was a response to the biggest single challenge that insecurity posed to the realisation of our dream. Many lives were being lost to crime on a daily basis in traffic, bank robberies and home invasions. "This was further compounded by the inability of the law enforcement agencies to procure equipment that will enable them to fight crime. But we are changing all that. The Fund has consistently provided equipment to enable the police to combat crimes." Fashola stated that the success recorded after the LSSTF intervention brought bigger challenges as many Nigerians moved into the state. He said the government was determined to ensure that the security situation did not deteriorate. Earlier, the state Commissioner of Police, Yakubu Alkali, said between September 2010 and October 2011, a total of 522 armed robbers were arrested, while 164 armed robbers died during encounter with the police. He added that 328 arms and 3,553 ammunition were recovered. Also, "1,448 vehicles were stolen, 61 armed robbery incidents and 319 murder cases were recorded in the last one year," he said. Executive Secretary, LSSTF, Fola Arthur-Worrey, said the fund received N1.9bn cash, N1bn worth of equipment and fuelling of patrol vehicles from the government. |

i got married to my lovely wife about 5years ago and we have been living happily except some minor issues.my wife and i are very close and we are open to each other on virtually all things.about 2months ago she told me a shocking fantasy that she wants fullfilled.i felt uneasy when she told.i was perplexed at how a woman i married a virgin could think of talkless of perfecting a plan on our to do it.i am averagely sized and i perform my duties satisfactorily HER FANTASY : to sleep with a "very large joystick" in her words "i honestly want to know how it feels" she is soliciting my support.she does NOT want any contact with the person prior to and after the the act and wants me to do the searching and negotiations after which the act itself will probably be performed in a hotel under the cover of darkness and anonymity with having his and her face masked. |

Nigeria is not where she should be in the comity of nations. Fellow Nigerians, we have the talents, we have the people, we are the special tribes of Africa.the hope of all blackrace from east to west. our problems is not the northerners or easterners or westerners but the greedy and corrupt leaders from all the regions. we must rise and take our place in the comity of nations Nigeria can not change gradually it can only change dramatically and violently because many are waiting for their turn to eat from the national cake we deserve more YES WE DESERVE MORE THAN a JONATHAN as our leader it is high time we chased those who cant lead and wont allow those who want to lead, lead |
werepeLeri:is that the issue shouldnt you be more concerned abt the fact that nigeria cant refine fuel? |
