This is the problem with African teams - last minute waste of efforts.
Happened to Nigeria vs Italy n 1994, Ghana vs Uruguay in 2010, and now Egypt vs Uruguay now.
So sad. |

I know Saudi plays better than Super Eagles but they lost by 5nil against Russia, and Croatia is better than Russia
You get my Point? Dont compare Saudi with Nigeria in football. SE will never lose 5-0 to any team in the world in a world cup. Not possible. We are no mate to Saudi at all. That Russia team cannot beat Nigeria |

Their attack is so poor. No bite.
And generally, their technique/ball sense is too elementary. |

TheSuperNerd: Iwobi On His Best Roommate, Favourite Goal, Aubameyang Style, Shaku Shaku
https://wwwcompletesportsnigeriacom-xzvtxvtv.stackpathdns.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Alex-Iwobi.jpg
Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi, who is with the squad in Russia for the World Cup, answered some fun questions in a short BBC Africa video…
Special goal? My goal for Nigeria vs Zambia (Iwobi sc6the winner against Zambia in Uyo, the goal that sealed the Super Eagles Russia 2018 World Cup ticket).
Favourite boy band?
Kelechi (Iheanacho) has some lowkey songs. I’d probably have Ezenwa on the chorus or something like that.
Favourite Okocha goal?
It has to be against Middlesbrough. He bent it in. I was with dad that day and it was amazing.
Best dressed: you or Aubameyang?
I believe I’m the best dressed. He’s a bit too flash. I don’t really like too much flash.
Weirdest item teammate has brought to camp?
Kelechi actually brought a microwave when we were in London, of all things. But I found it useful because he was in my room and we could warm up our food.
Barcelona or Real Madrid on FIFA 18?
Barcelona.
Best and worst roommates?
Both have to be Kelechi. He has this tendency to be late and I don’t like to leave him behind because we’re roommates and I feel we’re in this together. But at the same time he’s fun, he’s always enjoyment. He’s the best and the worst at the same time.
Most difficult dance move?
Shaku shaku. I’m still learning it and I have to learn it before the World Cup by force. I’m still learning the footwork.

Russia 2018 Final clock countdown: 8 hours 47 mins to go Looks like the players are planning to use shaku shaku dance for goal celebration |

LaExpert: Dark horses maybe...just like Costa Rica was in the 2014 edition.
On paper, Nigeria has no chance of qualification though; but we shouldn't rule them out...and we should not also expect them to progress from the group anyway. I really don't think we have done anything or shown some inherent quality in recent times to make any analyst classify us as dark horse. You don't just assign dark horses based on history. The years we proved the dark horse - 1994 and maybe 1998 - the signs and inherent indicators were there. Senegal and Morocco appear to be analysts' dark horses from Africa and that's justifiable. Someone (Croatian coach?) mentioned Nigeria as a potential destroyer - unpredictable, difficult to understand team. That's more like it. But really doesn't take us from the no-hopers category like at least 16 other teams. So I don't really think we are underrated by analysts. But then as a Nigerian, I would really love my analysis to be wrong. I want Nigeria to defy all analyses (even mine, which unfortunately is also pessimistic) and go far, or even win. |

Afam4eva: I think he should remain in Villareal for a few more years and ultimately even remain in Spain. I think we're missing a certain kind of players in the super eagles. Players who py their trade in Spain, Italy or even France. Our players in the premiership are usually not technically sound. They're just strong and fit. Gbam. And does the last sentence justify why English clubs are in a rush for Nigerian players in the last 6 months? I also think we also have the highest number of Africans who have played in the EPL. |

Sportilitica: We really struggle with set pieces. If I can remember, it has been a while since we scored with a header Struggle is an understatement. We are awful at it. We don't pose any threat from corner kicks and set pieces from good positions. |
