Icon4s: The passion with which the Arab world as a whole follow football is unimaginable.
They see it as war. I was in Dubai 2 months ago, every shop I went to, Salah's jersey was sold out. It is in Nigeria that Mikel's Chelsea will be playing Man U and you will see Nigerians supporting Man U o. Don't try that with Egyptians in Egypt. Egyptians in particular are so passionate about football - especially the nayionalistic side of it. With all the Egyptians I have met in my life, football was part of our discussions. |

Icon4s: Arabs are just like the Fulanis. They don't forgive.
Should Mohammed Salah miss this WC Sergio Ramos and Spain as a whole should better watch it. Football is more than a game in Egypt.
Salah is like a God to the Egyptians. They have toiled for 28 years without going to the WC. Mohammed Salah helped them qualify. But one wicket Sergio Ramos dislocated his shoulder blade. And if Salah misses the WC..... truly it can soil diplomatic relationship between Egypt And Spain. I won't be surprised to wake up tomorrow morning to hear that the Spanish embassy in Cairo has been burnt down. My Nigerian friend in Egypt tonight said before the game he cannot support Madrid in the open! Egyptians no dey joke with football. People that put Salah's name on presidential election ballot themselves. |

If the organizers of this had made reference to past editions with threads included, it would have attracted more interest.
We started this 9 years ago. Happy to be part of first 7 editions (2009 - 2015).
Looks like there is a disconnect somewhere.
I can't see anything as NAIRALAND MUSLIM IFTAR anywhere here. |

We all know he his a star in making and I will choose him ahead of ogu cos I don't see what Ogu contribute to the team. Oh, I stand corrected. I will also pick him over Ogu. But comparing him to Mikel now, is where I have issue. |

edi287: Why are people surprised by Partey's aggression?? My guy is Ghanaian and would obviously play like his depended on it. Our rivalry with those bredas no be here. Folks should go and watch Nigeria-Ghana friendly match of 2007 in London and our meetings with them in 2006, 2008 and 2010 AFCON. Nothing like friendly when Ghanaians play against Nigeria |

TheSuperNerd: Thomas Partey.... He was so damn annoying today! He even wanted to take out the "blokus" of Eduok with that rough kick of the ball to his perineal area.... So rough and heartless today, he was....
Honestly!!! At times I felt like doing this to partey!!! Roasting his ass with lightening strikes... As a followet of Ghanaian football for many years, this does not surprise me. Nothing like friendly in anything football versus Nigeria by Ghanaians - players and fans. Check out the football forum of ghanaweb to see what I'm talking about. |

Edoblakky: The guy is not going to the world cup, what do you expect a frustrated guy to do? Ghanaians don't take anything Nigeria lightly in football. Nigerians (including even our footballers) don't appear to know the extent of Ghana-Nigeria rivalry. Anything Nigeria brings the trigritude out of a Ghanaian - fan or player. Go to Ghanaweb and see what I mean. |

Can't get tired of holidaying there.
Was there for 2 weeks in March with my family, our 4th holiday there in 5 years.
Stay in Bur Dubai (except the last time where we used Oud Metha).
I enjoy Dubai but my family have gotten tired of it. |
