You!!! I thought the spirit of God has made you pass over this topic. I hope your twin doesn't get here. People have a wrong impression about you when you are not married I know what am talkin about from work place to family. As you approach the peak of your career you need a good Network. Oftentimes people are not comfortable with you holding meetings and private discussions with their spouse when you are not married...and management loves it when when you have something to look after.....let me not type much...I know you are joking and troublesome...go joor
See ya head like egg. tongue
And I'm being serious though. Forget societal pressure et al oooo. Your life is your life.
In case you get married out of pressure and the wifey ends up being unhappy, who will the people blame in the end?
Live your life to the best of God's ability. On the last day, no special marks for being married. Instead sef, the way you treated your spouse can even give you negative marking. cheesy

Aside: if I wanted Dyt, I would have mentioned her.
But I didn't. grin

Enjoy.

lol...student life, very interesting. Very soon your hard work will reward you handsomely...please reduce the items inside the bag so that the mass of the bag can be reduced. if you trek much with a heavy bag on your back, it may distort your posture. I had to apply for sick leave some years ago because I was always carrying a laptop in my bag and it affected my shoulders negatively. I won't like it when I finally meet the queen of my heart only to realise she has a poor posture. How is ur partner in crime dyt...I miss her...don't take me too serious today
After so long a time, you responded. grin.
Thank God for Sundays ooo...
My dear brother, what can I do as regards the bag? I don't carry laptop up and down ooo, wey the power? grin
It's books, shoe, food flask that is in the bag ooo..... but after leaving the office, going to school then staying in traffic for so long a time and having to trek on top even paper becomes heavy cheesy. God help us jare.
Hope you good?

Some topics you just see and they make you feel weak.

I give up.

Point of Clarification : A husband doesn't /won't go to the market 'for his wife', he will go/ goes to the market for his home.

What kind of church are you both attending? I ask because there are several gatherings nowadays that the Lord doesn't know.
There are so many things to look into. Wish we could talk one on one. Even I as a person, there are some 'gatherings called church' I can't marry into.

Forget doctrine ooo, read the bible for yourself and you know that many aren't on the right path.

The story doesn't add up. If your friend is such a man of 'integrity ', why was he with a condom to meet his ex?

Anyway, it have happen, It have happen.
You berra tell your wife. 1st of all to clear your conscience

2nd of all, you respect your wife. I believe for you to have gotten married to her, you have some form of respect for her.
3rd of all and most importantly, grin to avoid a Nollywood script playing out in your family 20 something years later.
Scene 1 (you in the living room after dinner with your wife)
Enters son.
Son: daddy, mommy, good evening.
You: oh my son welcome. It's good to see you. How are you?
Son: I'm fine sir(hugs mother). I have good news for you.
You: Really!!! Tell me. I'm all ears.
Son: I've met the woman I want to marry...

To be continued. grin cheesy

Seriously though, tell your wife the truth. angry

I really don't keep close friends because from experience I have found them not trustworthy, pretentious and jealous. I prefer casual acquitance, if the person wants to get too close, I stylishly withdraw to avoid "stories that touch". This time around I let my guards down, and I was unfortunately stabbed. I am still in shock, how can people change easily?
My dear, if you want friends, show yourself friendly no need to run naaa grin. Lord knows pretence is far from me that's why I've got a few loyal peeps. If as a person, you're not pretentious, it won't take long to weed out fake people from your life.
'sides, trust they say is earned. I make sure they earn my trust; the small one I'm giving them. grin. Which took years....

hmmm great and nice to hear that true friends still exist out there, but as for me...i really do not have friends o!,partly because I ain't the Going out' type, would you believe I have never been to a party before?!thats weird abi?,but its the truth o, this crowd thing gets me un comfortable thus I seem to always wanna run away from social gatherings. But if na book levels,I dey try,I can be ME and that BEST ME! but social......no way!!all those caused me to stay out of friendship and majorly because I prefer indoor things,no crowd,But on the average,I can be fun to be with,no lady ever regrets been with me,I shall sure go to any length to keep you comfortable and that's my joy, that whosoever passes tru me gets imparted positively .
My dear, I'm not so social either. Party ke? For what na? The only party I've attended is fresher's orientation in my part 1. grin that was in 2008. The few good friends I have are school friends that still stick like aka gum. They've didn't leave when I was jobless, they encouraged me, they didn't scorn when my engagement was called off, they celebrated me and made me feel precious. The other set of loyal friends I have I met during NYSC. Words fail me to describe how much they mean to me.
I don't make friends easy, but when I do, I'm very loyal. cheesy

you just like me ma'am,I gat disappointment and betrayal daily, this partly because I trust. Every one around or rather put,I love giving. Every one around me a lil benefit and advantage.but once u Mis behave I dump u out.My temperament too is really not helping in that line.Love to be alone and by my self but if you come close ,why not,I shall surprise you with all the comfort at my disposal,I can sell all my comfort just to please you even when it hurts, and thus lots of people usually take that advantage over me.But God has been helpful sha
my dear, what can we do? Just keep loving and giving as always. I can't count how many times I've put myself out for people only for those same people to treat me with disdain. No wahala now, we live, we learn and we love.
The confidence I have is that God can never betray me.
As long as I have God, I tanda gidiba. No shaking. cheesy

But in all fairness, there are still those friends that bring a smile to my heart and are loyal to the nines. I'm blessed to have genuine friends in my life. Sincerely. kiss

I really don't think you've learnt your lesson from your ordeal.
PRIDE.
Like seriously, you couldn't/can't pray to God yourself that you are engaging 'prayer warriors'?

Start looking for a job. If possible, the initial lecturing job at your Uni, check whether it's still available and go for it.

I have learnt in this life not to completely trust anyone. Even when I trust, I just have it at the back of my mind that that person has the ability to hurt me bad.

Family › Re: A Man Who Cannot Foot The Bills Of The Home Has Lost His Right To Headship by jashar(f):
the scenario the OP painted would only happen in a home where there's a power tussle.
If the man is temporarily/permanently incapacitated due to some genuine reasons like health/ bad business condition/termination of employment for sometime does it make the man any less the head of the home?
If you married him and he got involved in an accident that left him badly injured and the wife has to shoulder bulk of the financial responsibilities, does that make her the head of the home?
Women should learn our place abeg and stop dragging shoulders unnecessarily.
The husband should be the head irrespective of situations and circumstances.
Above all, women should marry a man they won't have issues submitting to.
