It does not lighten at all......a bit pricey...you could buy (if you live in Nigeria) or ask someone coming to Nigeria (if you live outside Nigeria) to buy you pure argan oil....then you can mix it with your moisturiser....the argan will last for a looong time that way, and more cost effective, and you are guaranteed on the measure in your lotion cos you add it yourself...instead of ten drops . ..but if you have the money...easier to buy shea moisture straight up
