livingchrist: you dodged my initial question, Who was God talking to when he said let us make man? God (Eloha) was conversing with Himself(Elohim). In Hebrew it is called Elohim, and it is Plural of God. This name is normally used when God wants to make decisions. Let me refer you two passages from scripture where God takes counsel with Himself 1. At the creation of man (Genesis 1:26) 2. The temptation and the fall of man(Genesis 3:22) 3. The tower of Babel. (Genesis 11:5-7) |

livingchrist: yes I serve Jesus, he is God and I ask you a very simple question who are the persons of the Godhead? You already said there are three persons in one entity , yes I agree with you that has being my point all through. By the way, Jesus is Almighty God but he is not the father.
The trinity is simple, I am just repeating my self again. The father is Almighty God The Holy spirit is Almighty God Jesus is Almighty God But Jesus is not the father neither is the father the holy Spirit nor the holy Spirit Jesus. Is it clear to you now? livingchrist: y @bolded see how you are contradicting yourself.
@least you can now see that God is a trinity of three persons right? Now who are the three persons? It is not a contradiction. Jesus is that God you claim to know and serve. God has three manifestation of Himself. And they are the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. These manifestations came in different points in time. For example : In the old testament, it was God the Father that was dealing with Abraham and his descendants(The Israelites) When we look to the four gospels(Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) it was with God the Son who was at the centre of affairs. Which is why the gospels basically talk about the life of Jesus and His style of ministry. The Book of The Acts of the Apostles down to Revelations of John deal with the God the Holy Spirit who reveals the mystery of God after the departure of Jesus Christ. It is through this Holy Spirit that the mystery of "Godliness "(1Timothy 3:16) was revealed. |

DappaD: The word “God” doesn't appear in 1Timothy 3:16 this is already becoming old news nau. It was forcefully inputted by your mischievous KJV translators. That is another lie Charles Tuze told you J-boy. The idea that the translation is "incorrect" just exposes the stupidity of those who try to discredit the divinity of Jesus. Even if we were to assume that the translation is incorrect, and we agreed that the writers of the bible bungled-up the meaning of words, we cannot overlook the claims Jesus made about Himself and those attributes that made Him God. Jesus clearly has the identity mark of God through scripture and this is seen through His works and sayings. |

A prophet like Moses?... Who's he? ©Moses served as God ©He served as Deliverer ©He was a mediator of a covenant
So, who's that prophet? Another wrong analogy for using Moses to compare to Jesus. For your information, Jesus is prophet according to the book of acts, but is He more than a prophet because miracles were done in His name. Miracles were never done in the name of any prophet in the bible. Or were miracles done in the name of Moses? |

HedwigesMaduro: If I had read the book of John? You mean the same book that says "no one hath ever seen God", right? Now you are making sense! No one had ever seen God, true. But that did not stop God from revealing Himself. Let us see how He did this : 1Timothy3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. From the above verse, God has been seen. The revelation and the mystery of our God was revealed and He was seen by both men and angels. |

Neither do they play the same roles in the anyway whatsoever. And here are reasons 1. Moses is just was a prophet God used to deliver Israel from Egyptian oppression, but Jesus is a deity (John1:1 and Isaiah9:6)that was worshipped. 2. Moses was a sinner, and his sin caused him not to see the promised land ; but Jesus was sinless and to the best of my knowledge, it is only God who is sinless. 3. Jesus forgive sins. And it is only God that has the right to forgive sins. The man Moses could never forgive sins because he was a just a man like you and me. |

[s] livingchrist: I just laugh at your ignorance, which puzzle, when Jesus already told you the father is another person. The witness of two people is what is taking as truth in the law and Jesus said he is one that bear witness and the father a second person also bear witness making them two people hence Jesus testimony is true, however this cannot be true if Jesus is the same person as the father. Furthermore, in John chapter 1 the word was with God telling you that the word is a person while the father and the holy Spirit are other persons, Again in Genesis God said let us create man in our image, does this not tell you God is more than one person? The trinity is all over the scripture, Jesus said baptise in the name of the father and of the son and of the spirit, these are three persons mentioned.
Jesus was sent by the father and the holy Spirit, throughout the scripture there are hint about the trinity, so my dear brother there is no puzzle there, right from Genesis God said let us which mean more than one person. [/s] Three persons in one entity called Jesus(Colossians 2:9). |

HedwigesMaduro: So if someone says "if you see the first lady you've seen the president" it means the first lady is the president? Or you've not heard "if you see that boy you've seen his father" before? Jesus said He has a God, but you prefer an expression that is more idiomatic than a literal, direct confession. That's up to you though. Shalom. Read John14:9 with understanding please. If you had taken the pains to read the whole book of John, you would see that Jesus spoke a long time about His Father. He kept talking about His Father and His disciples, being curious to know who His father was, decided to ask the question : [Lord show us the Father. This is not a literal expression, no. The disciples here wanted traceable evidence of something they could see! And Jesus pointedly told them He was the Father. Throughour the Bible, Jesus indirectly speaks to His audience as God. Here are a few of His sayings. 8. In whom should we place faith in order to have eternal life? Jesus Jesus says, "the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life" John 3:14, 15 Jesus says, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish" John 10:28 9. Through whom is salvation? Jesus Jesus says, "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved." John 10:9 10. Who satisfies our spiritual hunger and thirst? Jesus Jesus says, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty" John 6:35 11. Who will raise people on the Last Day? Jesus Jesus says, "everyone who looks to the Son and believe in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day" John 6:40-44 12. Who is the bread of life? Jesus Jesus says, "I am the bread of life" John 6:48 13. Whose words will never pass away? Jesus' Jesus says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." Mark 13:31 14. Who gives life? Jesus Jesus says, "the one who feeds on me will live because of me" John 6:57 Jesus says, "if a man keeps my word, he will never see death." John 8:51 15. Who is the Life? Jesus Jesus says, "I am the life." John 14:6 16. Who will give life if we lose life for his sake? Jesus Jesus says, "Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Matthew 10:39 17. To whom shall we give our highest love? Jesus Jesus says, "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." Matthew 10:37, 38 18. Who gives streams of living water? Jesus Jesus says, "He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him" John 7:38, 39 19. Who is the light of the world? Jesus Jesus says, "I am the light of the world" John 8:12, 9:5 20. Who sets people free from sin? Jesus Jesus says, "Every one who sins is a slave to sin. If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:34, 36 21. Who has the right to forgive sin? Jesus Jesus says, "So that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" Matthew 9:6 22. Who is eternal? Jesus Jesus says, "before Abraham was born, I am" John 8.58 23. DappaD: It's not a baseless question. Simple question what is the name of your church sir? Because whatever you're saying now we are meant to see visible application of it in real life and not just head knowledge. I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I consider only those in my faith to be true Christians. Reason is because Jesus said the road to everlasting life is very very very narrow and only a few are finding it. Matthew 7:13-14; Luke 13:24; Ephesians 4:1-6 So rephrase that statement again, because people who have conflicting beliefs and customs and who are always in disagreement CANNOT all be worshipers of the same God no matter how hard you try to sugarcoat it. 1Corinthians 14:33,40 So you are JW? Blood of God!!! I never knew. Anyway, now that you have told me, I cannot agree with you because of some satanic indoctrinations Charles Tuze let you swallow.
