1. Again...Jesus Christ's, the one sent to Redeem us from God's curse, explicit instructions to His followers is that they don't work for food that perishes. Not that we go shove our beliefs on others. What Jesus Christ declared sin is our working for perishable food. Simple as that! undecided

Since you seem to be having a hard time with this let me explain. God's plan is not and was never to make those who followers Holy by removing them from unholiness - this world. He sent Jesus Christ down to this same world to live, did He not? Yet living in this world did not make Jesus Christ unholy this because Jesus Christ instead live His life in submission of God's commandments and Will. He wasn't tainted by using the things built by the hands of men neither was He made impure by eating food from their unholy labors.

God's plan is pretty straightforward - Holiness through obedience of His commandments - John 8 vs 31 - 33. undecided

2. Again, tithes and offering are of God's Old Law given explicitly to the children of Israel by God - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20 - the very same Law God then sent Jesus Christ to redeem the children of Israel from. So, your tithing and offerings have nothing to do with that which God has commanded of you so it is sin to claim to do it in God's name cause He also warned to add commandments to His Law. undecided

God never gave you tithes and offerings for a commandment to begin. So pretending to do in God's name that which God never asked of you is sin against God. It amounts to adding commandments to God’s Law which He gave to you. undecided

3. Again, God never asked you to obey the bible, the book, neither did He instruct you obey anything else but Jesus Christ- He was that specific in Luke 9 vs 35 & Mark 9 vs 7 & Matthew 17 vs 1 - 5. So your claim does not align with that God in fact commands and is written right there in the book you claim to obey, so how can it be said of Him??
So why did you not reject the phone , why collect what is cursed and abominable? Why pretend to preach what you yourself deem sin ? Or is that not hypocrisy?.

2. Where is it written that offerings and tithes are now sins ? Please provide scriptural references and stop inserting your garb that makes absolutely no sense.

3. God said " on this book of law shall you mediated day and night, that it might go well with you and you may have success " (Joshua 1:cool. So why should I not obey the bible when God has commanded in serval passages to obey it.

I will still make mention of the first point in my last post because it itches you:

Why did you not tell that person that the phone (which was a product of work ) was cursed ? Why did you collect a "cursed " item ? Or is that not hypocrisy?
undecided
Where in scripture is it written that tithes and offerings are now sins ? Please quote the verse along with the necessary passages to validate this claim of yours .

If God did not tell me to obey the bible , then how would I know the mind of God ? How then can I discern between right and wrong ...or how would I know about Jesus ? Can you see how ridiculous you sound... undecided

4. Ofcourse it is sin to pretend to follow God's Old Covenant when you by mouth claim to be of Jesus Christ. For one it means you don't believe what God declared in Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20 about His Old agreement being only for those who have the blood of Jacob coursing through their veins. This in addition to violating Jesus Christ's instructions that you not serve two Masters in the Kingdom of God, the Old Law being one master while Jesus Christ the another. undecided

5. You obey Jesus Christ by words, but you reject His commandments? undecided
You are more confused than I thought.

The phone in your hand was given by someone who labored much. So why did you not tell that person that it was cursed ? Why did you collect it ? Hypocrite !

Tithes and offerings is not a sin. For if it were, it would have been mentioned in scripture. In fact, Christians in the new Testament gave far more than tithes; they sold everything they had, and came to drop them in the church for the sake of God's work . You can argue this with Acts 4:34-37.

Lastly, and I will say it again, I obey and follow the bible , which happens to be a compendium of Jesus words and His beliefs.

1. Jesus Christ's commandment was given to me, His follower, and not to the person who gave me the phone, who doesn't believe at all. And as far as I know, Jesus Christ never asked us to shove our beliefs down the throats of others. So? undecided

I am the one under obligation, this as a follower of Jesus Christ, to live my life in continuous submission to and obedience of the teachings(and commandments) of the one who is my master, Jesus Christ, so it is my life that I ought to make worthy of Him - I am not sent to force Jesus Christ on others. undecided

2. Confused and contradicting? undecided

▪︎ You claimed what you call honest work was Holy to God, this the same God that cursed the very works of man's hands in Genesis 3 vs 16 - 22 rendering rendering all UNHOLY.
▪︎ You originally claimed you believe what Jesus Christ said, but here you are outrightly refusing to bow to Jesus Christ's commandment.
▪︎ You claim you Obey the Bible, that which God never commanded of you, since instead what He decreed is that you obey Jesus Christ meaning what you do has no connection to what is in fact written in scripture or commanded of God.

I am afraid that when it comes to confusion and contradictions, I don't even have a candle to you in that department. undecided

Again, why do you, in one breath, declare you believe Jesus Christ, yet in the other reject Him completely? undecided
You are in self-delusion , but this is normal for people who believe in their own folly .

1. You never met Jesus Christ ; you only were told about Him by the bible which the apostles wrote . And those are the same apostles you now discredit because they mentioned work, which does not sit well with your twisted interpretation.

2. You are not obeying Jesus, rather you are obeying the dictates of your heart which are inclined to believing what you turn as right or wrong . Which again boils down to folly.

3. You are contrary and confused . In one post, you mentioned that work is "cursed ", yet you are using a phone that someone gave you . Is that not contrary to what you preach ? How hypocritical can you get ...? grin

4. I already asked you if paying of tithes and offerings is a sin , and you are yet to answer me on this. Why? I shall tell you : it is because you know (in your heart) that it is not a sin, but because you love pointless arguments , you want to justify it without sound scriptural foundations.

5. I obey Jesus . And I do that by reading the bible and following what He believed in . If you recall, Jesus believed in the old Testament, and for me to pretend that it does not exist, or that its precepts are eradicated , will only make me a fool like you.

Again, So below is what Jesus Christ said. undecided

Right there in verse 27, Jesus Christ tells you that you no longer work for food that perishes but instead worl for food that endures to eternity which only He can give you, which I have been saying from the beginning of this conversation.

So, why do you now believe what Jesus Christ says which is that you don't work for food that perishes? undecided

3. You claim you Obey the Bible, but not a single place in scripture do you find Almighty God giving you such a commandment regarding what is your bible. However, God is written to have, from Heaven, spoken, commanding that you obey Jesus Christ - Luke 9 vs 35 & Mark 9 vs 7 & Matthew 17 vs 1 - 5 - the very one whose commandment you seem adamant to reject. So what reject God all together so you can cling instead to that which He never asked of you to begin with? undecided

Why do you, in one breath, declare you believe Jesus Christ, yet in the other reject Him completely? undecided
Again I ask you to do the following :

Tell the person who gave you that phone not to work . In fact, tell him to start doing what you are currently doing and see if his life would be worthy of being called Christ-like, talk more of being called worthy of anything . grin

Secondly, I am quoting you since you insisted on not working . So why the heck are you talking about emotions when it is obvious that you are confused and contradicting the very thing you claim to preach.

Furthermore , I obey the bible. Not your interpretation of the bible . Get that clear .

Lastly , tell me if it is a sin to work and pay tithes or offerings to God . grin

1. My question to you was , again, Where in scripture is this claim of yours that Honest work is pure/Holy before God lifted from please? undecided

How could the Almighty God contradict His own self so, that I would like to know. undecided

2. Jesus Christ never did so to set an example this since instead He said His followers are those who do as He says - those who obey His commandments- , not as He did - John 14 vs 15 & John 15 vs 14 undecided

Instead, the commandment which He gave to His followers regarding such things is this, " Give to Caesar what is Ceasar's, and to God what is God's". His followers obey His every commandments. undecided

3. Again, where in Luke 8 vs 3 do you read that these women provided for Jesus Christ from their labors? They could have provided for Him from their former earnings and not from direct labors meaning as followers they, like His disciples, no longer labored for food that perishes. It isn't what is written that I contest here but your conclusion as regards what is written? undecided

4. As I already shown through the discussion, my understanding of what Jesus Christ decreed in John 6 vs 25 - 33 is not drawn from a narrow angle either. So again, why do not believe what Jesus Christ commands to be the Truth of His Gospel? Why do you pretend He should not be taken at His Word? undecided
I believe Jesus Christ. But you want me to believe your own twisted interpretation of what you are saying , and that is not going to work. Why? Because the bible is my authority. Every word written in it is the final authority by which I live my life. One verse alone is not enough to justify what you are saying...not even one letter, phrase or passage . What will justify your saying is the entire bible.

You denying the scriptures I quoted automatically means that you disagree with what Jesus did and with what His Apostles did . But that is your own headache.

Also, if I choose (from my heart ) to pay tithes or offerings, that is not illegal . Rather I am doing as a response to what my God has given me , it is not sin.

Secondly Jesus did pay taxes to set an example . His entire life was based on wide range of set-examples which we were instructed to follow till date . Which is why He gave commandments. It is impossible to give a command without setting an example.

You ask very ridiculous questions. In the old and new Testament, Christians as well as Jews offered to God tithes and offering from their labors. This is honest work . And it was called "the first fruit offering ". Now I ask you a question: was this an abomination before God ? If yes, show me a passage to confirm this.

And in saying so, you believe Jesus Christ is wrong in His demand in John 6 vs 25 - 33 that those who belong to Him do no longer even that they consider honest but instead that work with yields only food that endures to eternity which only He can give them? undecided
Honest work is pure before God . It is from honest work you are able to feed the needy and the orphan. It is from honest work that we are commanded to bless the Lord in offerings and tithes . It from honest work that missionaries are able to preach the gospel . It is from honest work that bibles are printed for the sake of the gospel . It is from that same honest work that you are able to hold your mobile device. If it were not for honest work, you would not even be a Christian let alone a mobile phone holder.

Eccelesiastes 3:10 has told us to find work and do it diligently. I do that and I am using it to bless my God and those who are in His congregation.

Jesus in His day knew the value of labor , which is why He paid taxes. Women even provided for Him from their labors(Luke8:3) . If He were against work , He would have admonished those women in scripture.

And as I explained ... under God’s Old Covenants, He allowed the israelites to work for perishable food on all days except the Sabbath day, the day they were not allowed to do work hence a major reason why the Sabbath is called a Holy Day - a day the people were not to submit to the curse - they were to rest from everything, almost literally lie down and do nothing. undecided

So you see, there is need to infact have understanding of what work it is you keep insinuating one has to do diligently. Anyone who works for perishable food/bread does so in submission to God's curse and that is against Jesus Christ this since He was sent to redeem this who will submit and obey Him instead from that very same curse. undecided

Your verse from Ecclesiastes suggests that the work to be done diligently is "Whatever your hand findeth to do" but jesus Christ says instead, in John 6 vs 25 - 33, that it is only work that yields food that endures to eternity, which only He can give, is the kind of work that His followers are to do. So is Jesus Christ wrong in this? undecided
Kobo , it is either you are confused , or you just want to argue for the sake of being foolish.

And except you want to deny this , the bible is explicitly God's revelation on how man is to conduct himself here (on earth ). Which is why it is written that " All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness," (2Timothy 3:16).

If the bolded is true, then why would you question me on what Eccelesiastes 3:10 says about the type of labor ? Or is honest labor now a curse ? If yes, then throw that phone of yours away because it was bough through the labor of someone else who you tag as "cursed labor ". grin

It is written " let him who will not labor , let him not eat " ( 2 Thessalonians 3:10). It is also written , "a little sleep ,a little slumber ,a little folding of the hands, and thy poverty shall be upon thee as an armed man"(Proverb24:33)

So many churchians out pray like there lives depend on it. Some even pray every every change they are not directly communicating with others, yet nothing. Why? Because they do not do any of what they do in obedience of God's very commandment. undecided

For instance, God said, "All things whatsoever you ask , believing, you shall receive". This same God said that those who belong to Him are those who choose to no longer work for perishable food, but instead for food that endures to eternity which only He can give - John 6 vs 25 - 33. He went in further to insist that this is infact what believing is all about - no longer working for food that perishes but working for food that endures to eternity. undecided

What do you think that diligence in prayer can do to surmount that stipulation by God as far as receiving from Him is concerned? undecided
Nobody is mentioning anything about being diligent in prayer . I'm saying being diligent in the sense of being strategic as to how to go about success. Even if you obey God's commandments and you're not diligent ,you'll be wallowing in poverty. That's a fact . And it's a universal law that applies to whether or not you believe in God or not
