■ Ask God for the Holy Spirit -

Prayer without diligence is empty . And that's why they continue to wallow in the halls of poverty

To answer your question, the killing of babies being accepted as universally wrong, is a product of years of human evolution and adaptation, trial and errors, enlightenment, to iron out various aspects of human lives that are deemed outdated and wrong.
This is not because of some supreme being commanding that or telling human beings universally that killing babies is wrong.

Human evolution did not do that because human soceity greatly differs and varies in terms of religious beliefs and cultural systems . If you doubt this , look at all the world's religions and cultures and see if they intersect at all in terms of anything let alone a common belief that killing babies is wrong.

So therefore your explanation is void of any concrete logical answer.


Which bring us back to issues: what tells us that killing babies is wrong ? The answer : a higher moral standard . This is where the introduction of a God comes to play

To your question about killing babies. Pages of your Bible, are littered with commands of your god commanding his people to carryout out acts of genocides. Heck, your god carried out acts of genocides. And guess what, babies were among the victims of this genocides. So excuse me if I can't see clear to draw my idea of morality from that genocidal, plagiarized book you called the Bible.
It took human evolution to acknowledge that killing babies, heck, killing fellow humans, is wrong.
Human standard of morality is why killing babies is seen as wrong.

So what exactly was the point you were trying to pass by asking that question?

Your definition of freewill is not what the bible or any other religion teaches. In fact, it seems your problem happens to be a moral problem rather than philosophical problem.

But before I go into what freewill is , let us get something clear: God does not send anyone to hell or heaven, rather the choices you make will take you there . This concept can be likened to our society where offenders are punished based on decisions of cruelty, deviations and wickedness which ultimately requires some form of justice .

Now in regards to freewill, God has given all creatures that sense to choose whether or not to love Him and accept His commandments , which happens to be the foundation/ standard to what is true or just.

For the fact that God has given you freewill means that God is not a tyrant, but rather , He is someone who loves you enough not to force you obey Him which might be contrary to your will .

God knows the outcome of everything , but God cannot determine that outcomes because that would be contrary to His nature and your free will.


For example , God knows that if you sin , the consequences of your actions would be eternal damnation, so it is now left up to you to choose not to sin , so as not to be damned .


The bible tells us plainly that God wants us to choose what is right in our own interest

The first is the concept of hell. If one is going to be punished for making certain choices, where then is the freewill? How is the presence of freewill different from the absence of it? How does deffered punishment imply freewill? If you're going to send me to jail for speaking against people in authority, would you say there's freedom of speech just because you postponed the imprisonment to a later time? In the Bible, some punishments were even immediate.

The second is the concept of omniscience. I wonder if free will can exist side by side with the idea that the creator already knows every single detail of the future. If my actions are predestined, it means my righteousness or lack of thereof is also predestined. Where then is the freewill?
