Abi, which kin thing be this?! |
jmaine: Personality disorderMy pesin, Alj harem tire me mehn! ![]() |
alj harem: Gbammmm na so so promisesYou like following me around, don't you?? Keep feeding with paranoid thoughts! SMH! |
I have faith that he will complete it. The stagnant period is normal and work will soon resume. |
RICHIE BOI: The problem with CRA is that he starts too many projects, and doesnt finish them. so many uncompleted projects in rivers state.Half a bread is better than none. Other people don't even have the privileged to see these sort of structures in their states. |
shymmex: Jmaine is my bytch..Just seeing this. Not cool man. If Jmaine start with you eh! |
Beaf: Fashola is in his 2nd term and yet Tinubu is still controlling him like a baby. It only took GEJ months into his term. But OBJ did the same to GEJ, didn't he? What makes you think Fashola will not ditch Tinubu if he is allowed to govern Nigeria? |
One thing most people don't understand is that Lagos is a miniature form of Nigeria. EVERY ethnic group in Nigeria is present in Lagos. apart from its population. If you can successfully govern Lagos well, Nigeria will not be a problem. But as usual, ethnic and religious bigotry comes to play and we make the wrong decisions. |
otokx: Its does appear not to be a real PPP as the private partners appear to a front for an ex military governor and as such have neither the financial muscle nor technical expertise. The whole thing needs intensive prayers as we said earlier. phantom: i think amaechi has done well but as concerns this project, its probably the most ill concieved idea he's had.....i think its a white elephant project and will not see the light of day.of course ill eat my words if need be(though i have this very bad feeling i may never)..........Guys, I got this: The Rivers Monorail Project is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the Rivers State Government and TSI Property and Investment Holdings Limited. A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) called Rivers Monorail Company Limited (RMC) was established by both parties to own and operate the rivers monorail system. |
Beaf: Are you living in a tree? Everyone knows about Obj's exit, even fools do too. So why don't you?Again, what makes you think Tinubu will not "exit"? Did OBJ "exit" before or after GEJ's presidency, yet we still voted for the GEJ. So mister, what makes you think the same can't happen to Fashola? |
Beaf: Jason123 is a bit slow, maybe he will finally get it in a weeks time. You better keep quiet, you enemy of progress. Its like you hate Nigeria. People are talking about development and commissioning not "planning". Nigerians, this is the sort of person that drag you back for another 10 years! |
phantom: technocratYeah really ![]() |
Beaf: Exactly. Fashola is too beholden to Tinubu, its almost childlike. Is the "frog-like" OBJ not doing the same with GEJ?? |
phantom: 2-3years ago,i would have said YES to fashola for the presidency......but nigeria needs a strong leader, with balls of steel.A decisive(not out of emotions),logical and WISE man. Sadly my man fash doesnt fit the bill at all.My idea of a leader is not one who builds skyscrapers and bridges.leadership goes way deeper.dude does not have the depth. Can you tell us your ideal leader and how he fits the bill? If we don't build, how do we hope to attract investors? I believe this is the time we need a LEADER and a Technocrat and Fashola FITS the bill WELL ![]() |
jmaine: Bros . . .The main gist of the story is that most peeps are looking forward to Fashola candidacy in the nearest future starting 2015 . . .and his telling them to count him out in 2015 atleast is more or less a sad news . . .Sad indeed! If he should change his mind he should be rest assured that he'll get the support, from UK tto Nigeria to the USA! ![]() |
jmaine: Which propagandaOf course from PDP. You simply brought out the article so I was not referring to you but the people that wrote this article. |
Beaf: Akpabio is much better than Fashola. Noise is not everything. How? Because he spends more on capital projects? He is very good, no doubt but better? On what basis? Lagos has 18 million residents while Akwa Ibom has 3.9 million residents. Therefore, its is obvious that Lagos will spend more of her money on salaries. On allocation, Akwa Ibom receives 14.5 billion while Lagos receives 12.7 billion. Therefore, the capital per head is larger in AI state than Lagos state. So dude, what are you on about?! |
jmaine: Bros. . .lagos State can never bank roll UNILAG, a Federal Government Entity coupled with her numerou challenges . . .You wan invoke another 1000% LASU fees hikeBros, I won't deceive you, this comment made me laugh mehn! ![]() You have a point sha! |
shymmex: When did you grow a brain??Why the insult?! Abeg leave my guy! |
Already on the front page, eh MODS?! ![]() Fashola did not say anything he will not contest! |
Why the propaganda against Fashola? Una dey fear ![]() |
purefella: FUNNY MAN WHO WON COUNT U IN B4Nigerians! |
jmaine: It will brother . .UNILAG are wholly dependent on the FG . . .even though the UNILAG VENTURES is also rolling in cool cash to the Institution. . .Oga mi, Lagos can bank roll them. The Secondary school in UniLag alone generates lots of money. I am not saying it's self sufficient but Lagos can make up for her deficit, if pushed. Lagos banked rolled 52 local governments for a how many yrs during OBJ's era, how much more a university? |
monkeyleg: Hmmm, I wonder how much that would cost a,d if it is sustainable in the long run. These trains are resource intensive, and I seriously doubt that using Gens is the best way forward. Desiel trains would have been a better choiceIt is a PP project. The private investors will not want to lose their money, so I bet they already have a solution. No need to worry! ![]() |
otokx: dunno the craze for overhead trains, id prefer ones that run on the groundApart from the unnecessary space they take, overhead trains prevents traffic obstruction cause by the trains passing through a busy road. |
jmaine: lol . . .This na blackmail oo!You better tell them! ![]() PapaBrowne: If they do that hmmm. . . . . their budget would be in danger oooh. Especially those non essential budget items that dem Profs and Governing council members dey use take chop. I doubt if they would oppose. ACN is smart and their silence is wise. Although Aregbeshola has come out in support of the move.Papabrowne, you are a cool guy but you disappointed a lot of people with your thread today. Btw, Lagos is self-sustaining. She can hold her own and you know this. Even OBJ could not starve her, so how can funding unilag affect her? |
Dede1: Thanks jason123. It is good to read that Lagos State made serious effort to patronize a local manufacturer such as INNOSON MOTORS.In fact, there was a thread on it a few months back. . .if we don't patronize our own, who will? ![]() . . .But I am still of the opinion that Innoson should have a solid branch in Lagos because of the large market. The HQ can remain in the SE. |
PhysicsQED: . . .. . . ![]() |
otokx: Some progress is being made no doubt; maybe my grand children may benefit from it.If I was you, I'll be glad. Some state governors don't even bother! They are just useless people collecting money every month. The reason for the slow progress might be due to lack of funds. In a few months, I'm sure it will pick up! monkeyleg: What powers the trains?? if electricity as i suspect, how are they going to sustain it?Dedicated power plants. |
naptu2: At the moment there are lights at the top and halfway up the tower. At night you can clearly see the tower from Lekki-Epe Expressway.A picture at night will be awesome! Naptu2, I know you can pull that off! ![]() |
jmaine: Sure na my side brosE bi like say you go still comfort yourself with 2ski for a while! ![]() |
Btw Jmaine, are these bus-stops easily accessible from, let's say, 2nd gate Unilag? (its been long mehn ) |

. . .btw, L.G.As suffered a lot during that OBJ/Tinubu . . .It's was padded through as people understood . .but do you know what it means to pay salaries of the academic staff and to finance the plethora of projects mega projects going on in the institution . . .
