dcitizen: @2mch, ur argument lack accuracy and logic. If somebody like u still believe dat ndigbo constitute sizeable number of 7percent in lagos, need to have ur brain and mind properly examine becos u are suffering from wat and historians who best described as paradigm delusion. Let d fact be told. Igbo constitute over 40 percent of the population of lagos. And the uniqueness of the set of pple is dat dey bring civilisation and monumental economic and social development to their host community thereby moving the entire country in d direction of national integration and national cohesion. If i can be honest wit u, over 50percent of the investment in lagos is in d hand of ndigbo and the same for the capital, abuja. Dis feat of monumental achievement is not an accident bt a health product of sheer determination, patience, innovation and wisdom which are rare among other tribes. The agitation of the igbo to have a fair representation in lagos politic is in good faith and right order.wat we need is competition and protection not compensation. Intra competition among the igbo pple may have some challenges but it is the biggest power of supremacy of the ndigbo race as a whole becos healthy competition in all sphere of life drives innovation, and adventure which increase global and national competitiveness of the igbo pple. There is no crime in expansionate and adventure if u have the instinct and courage. Igbo have set the high standard to other tribes and let them follow suit. Let d other hausa and yoruba will dwell in south -east region be more competitive and desist from propaganda and favourism. Let them contribute their quota to d development to the region to help in national and social integration of the nation as a whole. Hausa and igbo have the common trait of pilgrimmage or migration to some other state not becos of shortage of land bt becos of adventure, expansionate and commerce You are no different from the Fulanis in Jos! |

Rayhut: People of SE/SS,we have to stand on United State Biafra come 2015 when Nigeria will disintegrate into four countries. We have to prepare ourselve for any eventuality. In case of outbreak of war,we have take arms and fight for our liberation of our great nation. It better to live a day as lion than to live a thousand years like a cowardly and fearful lion. The new Biafra states include Rivers,Cross-River,Bayelsa,Anambra,Imo,Enugu,Abia,Edo,Delta,Akwa Ibom,Ilaje area of Ondo and Ogun!(riverine areas),they opted to join Biafra based on a secret poll conducted by UN and Two third of Lagos starting from Berger to Ojo.The two former fct lagos and Abuja are devided into three for sout and north for three geopolitical zones. The four coutries are Biafra,Midland,Odua,Arewa which merge with Odua. bashr8: and if yorubas strike we will be looking at yorubas in igboland and smiling at themright? guy you have no idea the millions of yorubas living in ph , onitsha ,aba ,asaba ,enugu etc but you will when the time comes. i will personally remind you of this your post. if hausas fulanis that you fear so much cannot defend themselves in igboland i wonder what will happen to yorubas. Dude, you can't compare the numbers of Yorubas in the SE to the numbers of Igbos in the SW. It is simply a no go area and you know it. 1 Like |

cheddarking: Certainly not! I don't pray for such but it does not mean we should push it! The so called millions of Igbos go back to their SE states every Christmas, hence, if Yorubas wanna strike, they can. A man cannot run away from his own land. Yorubas, Igbos and everyone else have been living peacefully (except the Hausas in the early 2000's and they got what they deserved), lets keep it that way. |

cheddarking: So because immigrants have an impact in London, it means their numbers cannot be reduced?! Dude, what are you on about?! Anywhere in the world, immigrants will always have an impact, especially in the labour sector of the community. Why? Because they do the job the locals are not willing to do. How many Yoruba guy wanna sell spare parts?! How many Hausa guys wanna be a chemist?! How any ND guys wanna be a taxi driver in PH?! Very few hence, the migrants will dominate that sector. Likewise, how many White Londoners wanna work as a care giver, stall owner, Kebab seller or street sweeper? Little, hence, us immigrants are useful to do these things. But our population can easily be reduced. Stricter immigration laws, lack of communal tolerance, increase in tax, discrimination etc can very easily reduce the population. The same thing can happen in Lagos, already the Lagos House of assembly passed a law to make Yoruba the official language in the House. Why can't we, the so-called non-indigence fight this law? Shey we no plenty reach Dude, please be very realistic! If a full blown tribal war should happen in Lagos, the Igbos will suffer terribly but Lagos will suffer as well. Let's not pray for such, hence, trouble dey sleep, yanga go wake am! 1 Like |

cheddarking: They already own two EUROPEAN seats. East London (Dagenham and co), upon all the Jamaicans and Nigerians wey full there, BNP still won. Don't be deceived, you can't lose on your own land and we (non-indigences) are actually the minority in London not to talk of Lagos that is surrounded by 5 SWestern states. Dude, if anything should happen in Lagos today, it will be a massacre and no one will escape because before you do, you'll need to pass Ogun state and Ondo. Lets not pray for such sha!!! |

Billyonaire: Lagos is the richest state. Yet, the road on my part of lagos is tolled. I pay 150 each time I pass. The roads are developed based on PPP, every bar I enter, they charge me VAT and service charge, me i never know what Fashola has done for my part of Lagos yet. Cos Government is not giving me water, no light and the road, I drive, I pay as I pass. I hear Fashola is trying. Congrats to him, but I no feel it. Sorry. And Rivers state is poor (second richest)? What about Imo state (5th richest)? Pls, find another excuse! |

2ru-talk: Monthly allocation [center] I couldn't find a RELIABLE IGR data (manny4lyf and co will know what I am talking about, as we have had this argument before). However, think about the logistical difficulty Lagos face compared to Imo (remember, OVER 28 times Imo's pop density). Also, no matter the IGR, IMO still receives 13% derivation, yet you think Rochas is better?? I have not hear of many capital projects from Imo state ( the only thing he has done is the free education which I commend) but just yesterday Fashola commissioned 3 projects, even Chime is better in that aspect! |
Politics / Re: Who Are The Top 5 Performing Governors In Nigeria? by jason123: 3:56pm On Jul 21, 2012 |
1. Fashola 2. Rochas 3. Akpabio 4. Amechi 5. Oshiomole Rochas cannot be above Fashola because Imo is an oil producing state, therefore, they receive extra income apart from the normal monthly wages. Also, Imo state has a population 4.8 million (density=710/km2 (1,800/sq mi)) while Lagos has a population of 18 million, 3 times more than Imo state (density=20,000 persons per square km. more than 28 times of Imo state population density) 5 Likes |

ROSSIKE: But the Bible is CLEARLY against exploitation! Have you heard of the "tax collector" before? Secoond, the bible say, "Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land."Isaiah 5:8. Bruv, the Bible's position is clear. WE need wisdom to understand it |

boko_halal: @Jason, thanks for your response esp. for the scriptural backup, but are you implying that even before the beginning of an endeavour, more drive should be planned for channeling towards the end of the endeavour? Sorry for the extremely late response. The thing is that the word of God is a double edged sword! It can mean one thing or the other or even both; it might mean something to you while it means the other to me. We need wisdom to understand it (If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him James 1:5). However, if we go by the literal meaning, then we should always work towards the end of something than its beginning. After all, the reason we are Christians (assuming you are but if you are no, it really does not matter) is to be counted AT THE END as one of God's chosen and to make heaven!!! Even in life, we tend to enjoy the end of things and events more than its beginning (Sex, Graduation, Weekends etc). I hope that helps?! |
