bashr8: did you say we have to migrate to make it ? you people are so stupid , yet anambra is the most populated state in the south east and apart from lagos ,kano and rivers no other state in nigeria hav a clearly higher population than anambra ,i guess all those people are ghost , meanwhile how can a state with the largest trade centre in the world and nnewi the most industrilized town in nigeria after lagos ,ph and aba have its people migrate before they make it does that make sense to ur stupid brain. elrufai plan to discredit APGA will not work .

Did you mention enugu state? What is the contribution of enugu state to the economic development of SE? Education enugu state got zero, they can only be compared to such states as Zamfara, Gombe when it comes to education.

Anambra is in the class of its own; no state competes with it in all ramification of human development index. The only state that is little above it in education is imo. Outside that Anambra has got the best and brightest brains and mind Nigeria can boost of at least today.
one.east:
You are out of your mind to call Anambra a rural state. FYI: Anambra is the 3rd largest developed state after lagos and Rivers states. Go figure anu mpama

Is that a lie? If it is, I'll apologise right now.

Secondly, is that all I typed down?
In your paranoid bid to make this thread tribalistic against other ethnic groups, you missed out where I typed this down, "I see it as a smart move! That way they never lose out totally!".

I'm not really for long essays right now. So, do/think what . . .na you wahala be that.

bashr8: shut up ode, did u read the whole post ACN and tinubu are waiting for bribe from pdp to betray cpc again

Sunday Tribune findings showed that those working against the merger are from various sources, including the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and elements within the CPC who still believe the party should not dilute its character by merging with the ACN.

Many within presidential caucus in Abuja are said to be in support of granting concessions to Senator Tinubu, a development South-West leaders of the PDP see as a continuity of ACN’s domination of South-West politics.

Senator Tinubu and his team are, however, said to be hesitant even though a sizeable segment of the ACN are reported to be open to such concessions that will see the party retaining its hold on the South-West
.

I no talk am?! grin grin grin
The SE has never and will never play the opposition in Nigeria! If the coalition is about winning, the SE will join the coalition. I see it as a smart move! That way they never lose out totally!
That's why ACN/CPC are unsure about the SE. The SE has "NEVER" played the opposition in Nigeria's history.

I agree but regardless, that indigene stuff does not work and you should know that so what is stop you from contesting in Lagos? Last election, some Igbos contested, didn't they? Were they indigenes?
PoliticsRe: PDP May Lose Aso Rock If CPC & ACN Merge by jason123: 4:11pm On Jun 09, 2012
bittyend: These fools are still arguing the ownership of Lagos smh..

You don't make up 20% of Lagos.. There are more Hausas and Benin/Delta axis folks in Lagos than you lot, get over yourselves and go drink palm oil.

That is the truth!!!!

The situation is similar to the black community in UK. We though we were alot until we found that that we are less than 2% of the total population, yet you see us everywhere.

Senator Grace Folashade Bent is a Yoruba woman but represents Southern Adamawa senatorial district in the Senate. In this interview with Sunday Trust, she gives reasons why she crossed the mountains to Adamawa state to be married to Major Jackson Bent (rtd), her relationship with her in-laws, and how she operates, being one of the few women in a male-dominated National Assembly. Excerpts:

Distinguished, you are from the South West. We would like you to tell us how you met your husband, considering the fact that he is from the north east. How were you able to fall in love with him, what were the sweet things he told you that made you ignore the long distance?

I am a very spiritual person, and I believe in destiny. In life, God has a plan and purpose for every individual. God has the blueprint for our lives. He orders our steps. He knows where we are going even before we were formed in the womb.

Chinom: CRASS IGNORANCE !!. Nigeria has an Indigene clause in it's constitution which excludes non-indigenes from contesting elections or representing the people of a state. A yoruba man from Ogun state(next door neighbour)CANNOT contest for the house of assemly in Lagos state. There are moves in the National assembly to remove the ïndigene clause and replace it with residency and place of birth. An Igboman born and bred in Obalende cannot make the ACN list of candidates for the house of assembly. However, a political party can take a ridical step and nominate a non indigene, but the reality is that most party members will oppose that.
Tinubu and the ACN makes sure that only indigenous Lagosians are elected for any post i the state. So, a Yoruba man from Ibadan has no chance. It's covered by the constitution.
Ignoramus, was a Yoruba woman not part of the representatives of Adamawa state in the last adminstration? Is she an indigene?

Sorry to say this, APGA is PDP's wife but with the situation of things in Anambra State, APGA is losing that State to PDP come 2014.but when it comes to presido, Anambrians will rather support Ngige at GEJ expense they are fully disapointed with his promises

Demdem, I will not insult GEJ. Nevertheless, if (don't write him off because he may surprise Nigeria, who knows?) he does continue, then the merger stands a chance!!
PoliticsRe: PDP May Lose Aso Rock If CPC & ACN Merge by jason123: 5:23pm On Jun 08, 2012
afam4eva: An ACN/CPC combo will only do better than the last time but they can't win the election. PDP will rule for a long time to come unless other parties stop being myopic. This is a step in the right direction but they must reach out to other zones or else this will be an effort in futility.

APGA is needed if they are to stand a chance against PDP. You cannot ignore the any large group in Nigeria, ignore any large group and you lose.
PoliticsRe: PDP May Lose Aso Rock If CPC & ACN Merge by jason123: 5:17pm On Jun 08, 2012
If there is an ACN/CPC merger and GEJ continues this way till 2015, he will likely lose or at least there will be a run off. Why?
Acn will win the SW (6 states) + Kwara and possibly Kogi
CPC will repeat the 2011 election (12 states)
This will make a total of 17 states (or 18 if Kogi is won).

If APGA joins, that will make it 23 states out of 36 states.

stivin: i think there might be some truth in the Ijaw-Agenda-talk.
recently, i got wind of an Ijaw-only NIMASA recruitment for teenage school leavers into a NIMASA scholarship training where they will emerge as Marine Engineers, Marine architects et alafter which they will be employed to fill the much talked about manpower deficit in the marine sector.
The info on this scholarship admission was being passed from ear to ear through their Communities student groups and associations.
Few months ago, the DG of NIMASA, sited a marine institute in his home state university;NDU.

Infact, I think that oil is the only thing that binds us together as a Nation.
We are actually yet a One-Nation.
It is well.

The DG of National Maritime and Safety Administration (NIMASA) occupied by an Itsekiri folk was removed and pronto another Ijaw man was appointed with dispatch.

Mr. President is aware that the Urhobos and other nationalities who subscribed to the Amnesty Programme were excluded from the programme, while the few that are enlisted are shut out from the training programme.

It will not serve any purpose if we point out the Multi Billion Naira Presidential Amnesty Programme headed by another Ijaw folk from a fringe riverine community in Ondo state.
