Just checked out the video. Couldn't finish it though due to our crazy network here. But I love the dialogue, how it's developing and all. Especially the butterfly bit. I also think I like the female actress very much.

I am currently trying to do an experimental avante garde film and all the advice you just mentioned... So on point.

I have one or two friends on NL who have very nice movie tastes and I am not ever showing them the movies when they are made, loooooooool. It's just a way for me to acquire some experience and try out some weird form of (film) story telling.

I usually look forward to any film by Woody Allen and Clint Eastwood. Any film written by Richard Curtis or Paul Haggis. Any film starring Kate Winslet or Nse.

Labour Day, Django Unchained, Woody Allen's Rome film, Superman film, Les Miserable (after I saw the trailer on DSTV, it had the song that made Susan Boyle a star), there's the one by the producers of Juno, and another about Rosevelt and Prince Philips... I'm not good with film titles...

Of course, Dark Knight Rises...

The person who acted Willy-Willy was my lecturer during my undergraduate days. He wasn't in any way scary. Just a nice soft-spoken lecturer.

I remember two scenes very well. One was in Chief's house when a maid or so who came from the village said "if you go this side FRY-OVER, you go this Bar Beach, you go this side FRY-OVER... In fact everywhere is full of FRY-OVER". The laugh wey we laugh then eh.

Then there was this scene where RMD kissed Ego and says something like "I hope the kiss was good enough".

Good oldies of the good old days.

Saw a few back then too.

The New Masqurade and Cheeckmate were my faves I think.

Was watching Phone Swap with a friend. Chief Zebrudaya was in the movie. And my friend said watching these legnds act, it's easy to see why they have been great actors for decades.

I'll keep improving though. One thing I have found out about all aspects of filmmaking is that if you don't try, you can never improve. I found out that most successful filmmakers have made a lot of film,s before that one that finally brings them to limelight.

VillageBoi: You're welcome. But if you've, as stated, always had comments like mine... kinda tells you over & over the writing is lacking something. Don't you think so? Family & friends always like what I write even when it's bad... they don't really count.

I don't mean family and friends. Trust me I throw my works around a lot. And I study whatever corrections are made well by people. I have had two screenplays on TS. None of the guys at TS was friend or family. They were also fellow struggling screenwriters like me.

Do you have screen credits? I wanna see some of your stuff.

So if you don't understand the first thing about scriptwriting please don't bother posting such utter mind-numbingly awful stuff. I read all three looking for any redeeming points... zero! You write 'scripts' just as badly as almost every other Nigerian so-called scriptwriter. Simple fact 99% of Nigerians cannot write a good script.
It always full of 'things that CAN'T be seen on the screen = fail', 'Dialogue heavy adults that talk as if they are dumb 13yr olds = fail'. And the most annoying aspect of Nigerian scriptwriting - explain and explain and explain complete nonsense till the cows jump over the moon.

Nigerian filmmaking will remain in its state of absolute rubbish until we get scriptwriters that half know how to write!

Oooops. Sorry you didn't like them. I have always had comments like yours. I have also had people also like my stuff. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I was wondering if any Nairalander (based in Lagos and has a lot of old movies in his drive) would be willing to meet up and help me with some of the movies. I would prefer to meet at Ozone or Genesis. We could also chit-chat about movies and the Oscars et al. Depending on the day of the week also, I could thank you by buying tickets to watch a movie at whichever cinema we meet (not 3D films oh). Thanks a lot in advance.

E matter oh. Mustn't be too short. But both parties must know each other very well before getting married. And I always suggest both parties try and live together from time to time so they study each other's living habits. Does he play video game till morning? Does he wake up and start eating around 1am. Does he do vampire things at night, looool. Or is he even Batman? Courtship is just getting to know who you are about to spend the rest of your life with. So if you can know him/her very well in 3 months, you've done your own courtship.

But in all, they should concentrate more on the length of the actual marriage.

Haben't heard of Labour Day. But Django Unchained is definitely something to look out for. Especially because of Leo and Waltz.

That movie was very good. Such a contrast to their lovey-dovey Titanic union. Turns out Kate's character died this time around from abortion and not cold.

Guess The Reader really didn't help the film shah.
