TV/Movies / Re: Name Your Top Five Nollywood Movies Of 2012and Give A Brief Review...... by Jayboy124: 8:01am On Dec 31, 2012
I only saw about 6 in all, all cinema films.

I have this debate about Ties That Bind if it is really a Nollywood movie. Think the producer is from Ghana. Leads were from Hollywood and Nollywood (Omotola***).

So my top two would be...

Ties That Bind

Phone Swap.

TV/Movies / Re: Une Clope - A Short Film (NSFW - Moderate Adult Language.) by Jayboy124: 7:18am On Nov 19, 2012
I loved the storyline more than the first one even though the first one was a lot more artistic. But I would have loved it to have ended better.

I think your short films are sooooooooooooo much more interesting than most features we see in Nollywood. Better start planning that first feature.

VillageBoi:

Nice one Jayboy, I'm gonna submit a film or two.

@VillageBoi I have tried to get lotta people to know about it. It's probably the most important thing to have happened to Nollywood in a while. Glad lotta talented people will be getting a chance and motivation to show their stuff to people.

We should start a topic and keep each other updated. Script-wise, pre, pro and post updates too. Encourage one another. Hope that's a good idea?

TV/Movies / Re: I Need Advice And Logistics Partners For A Talent Reality Show. by Jayboy124: 8:54am On Nov 01, 2012
If you are keen about the reputation of your show, a new show might be a better route.

I have noticed that creating a new show is a lot safer especially if you have good resourses. Most times when you try to come up with a Nigerian version of shows in USA/UK, it's always a tough task because a lot of people expect it to be as good as the USA/UK version.

And it shows you are very creative if you can create a new show.

My Name Is Khan and 3 Idiots are very fantastics movies. They are among my favorites too. But I would have go back to the early popular Bollywood films. Dharaam & Veer, Mard, Burning Train, Mother India, Yeh Vada Raha (The Promise, Sunita), Nagin* (Snake Girl)... Those should probably be my favorites.

Did you watch Blood and Oil?

Yea. I have seen the trailer of Black November as well. Both films might have the same 'oil' topic but from what I know, they are totally different.

Nice work sharing the pictures Ije. I love how you keep us upadated here on NL.

By the way, Blood and Oil doesn't have same story line with Black November. Totally different from what I've seen from Black November's trailer.
