Why don't you prepare a questionnaire? Can help you send it out to a few people who watch Nollywood films. That will be a better way of getting the response you need. |
I actually wrote Fantastic Fast Five the day I saw Fast Five at the cinema. It was a very good movie. Would say it's one of the best action movies of the year. |
Haven't seen it. Hope to soon. |
@iice Rango was very good. Saw it when it came out but Midnight in Paris still tops for me. |
So far Midnight in Paris. |
Movies are always better. Tv series are very good though. |
Friends, Big Bang Theory and Different Strokes. |
Million Dollar Baby, the scene where Clint's character finally tells Hilary's character the meaning of the words on the boxing robe he gave her. The Patriot, the scenes from when Mel's character losses his first son till the point after he releases his son. A lot of scenes from Crash. |
Most comedies by Richard Curtis, Notting Hill, About a Boy et al. Meet the Fockers, Something About Mary, Inventiom of Lying, Midnight in Paris, |
Iice, still waiting for your email. |
That'll be so nice iice. So can I have your email, please? |
Need some people to help read and make comments on my screenplays. A badly written Richard Curtis (Notting Hill, About a Boy) kinda screenplays. Please guys. |
Love costs a lot nowadays oh, lol. But that's a good movie shah. |
Love Actually, About a Boy, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, |
I forgot to mention (500) Days of Summer which I had to watch because all the stuff I read online. As it turned out, all the stuff I read didn't get close to describing what I watched. Fantastic film. |
It even makes me wanna see a movie more. Most times when I have more than a film and no preference, usually check it out online and then select one from what I've read online. Remember, there are some stuff these sites don't write about. |
@voltron is so right. You might wanna add Angelina Jolie's Taking Lives to that list. |
I just read your sample. Love where the story's headed. Nice one. Might not have time to help with the read though. But from what I've seen, watch out for clichés and keep English as simple as possible. Keep it up. Have also queried lotta agents myself, have had one or two requests myself. All the best in your writing career. |
Fantastic show. Especially the Indian character and his 'partner'. |
You leave in Beverly Hills, I live in Notting Hill. Everyone knows who you are. My mother has problems remembering my name. |
@Tinaz, lol. |
That's nice to hear. What's the overall concept? |
@Somadino what's your email so I can email you? I don't like putting my email up anywhere. |
We don't have enough cinemas so you don't blame the filmmakers. Pirates will surely make their money too. So filmmakers has to at least try and cover as many states as possible. |
Ije was showing at a hotel a couple of months back. Because of lack of cinemas nationwide, I feel there has to be hotel screening at least at the state capitals of the 36 states before DVD release. At least let them make more money before the releasing to pirates. |
If it doesn't get another re-run, then they'll release the DVD or VCD soon. The film was at the cinema for a long time though,I was sure of Genesis and Ozone. |
Got a couple. Guess that doesn't count. |
@pres-elect I make such mistakes myself too. There for their et al. |
Flair not flare. |
Don't know what exactly you mean by 'sell'. If 'sell' is make money from box office and dvd/vcd sales, then you must have known faces or you have to have money to market and promote your movie. If 'sell' however means, getting recognition et al, then you can do that. I always feel aspiring filmakers have to concentrate on getting recognition more than anything else. If we had known and respected critics in Nigeria, it'll have been easier for a very good film without big stars to make money. |
Saw it too and was impressed as well. Think it'll usher in the era of pay per view in Nigeria. |
If you're sure you guys got the technical details all sorted out, then Nigerians are surely gonna buy into it. Since you guys have all this, why not make a short one and see what people think about it first. But no matter what you do, always make something of international standards. Good luck. |
