With all due respect, hope you've been sending money for your son's upkeep & you've kept in touch by talking with him on the phone at least once in a while? I suspect the mother (in due course) realised she was in a very strong position and asked for more money which the doctor turned down, hence she reneged on the deal and out of vindictiveness involved the Cops.

It's a professional hazard to be an incorruptible Official in Mexico right now. It's either you take the money/perks being offered or you bite the dust, no two ways about it. My thoughts are with those over there who risk their lives daily by still trying to do the right thing, even with all the odds against them.

So sad. The blame lies solely at the feet of the Policemen who were probably armed & in mufti while using a commercial car. This was what sent the civilian driver into panic mode. But knowing the security tensions in the Country now, he shoulda at least slowed down appreciably at the checkpoint. RIP to him.

An election was adjudged not in compliance with the electoral laws yet no one was recommended for punishment by the the court.

The case will proced to the Appeal court with both parties in the suit spending more money and if the appeal court orders a rerun, both parties will even spend more and INEC will have to deploy human and material resources which will also cost money.

The biggest loser in all these to me are the people of Rivers state. Their commonwealth will be spent by their selfish leaders and politicians on issues that will only benefit them.

So I ask, where is the interest of the common Rivers state man or woman in all these?
