How sure are you that no one has been invited to for the stage 2? They said it's first come first serve and application is on a rolling basis. There is a possibility that those who get invited to stage 2 can pass the assessment and get an offer there by making the role filled up.
Atkeast that's my own understanding of first come first serve.
This new pattern of recruitment and assesment was used in Shell Australia. While some were still trying to do their on Demand video others have already proceeded to the next stage (case study).
So anything is possible my brother.
Finally! Somebody who has an understanding of the "first come first serve" clause. --- I thought I had lost my comprehension abilities when I argued about this earlier on in this thread.

And did i hear people discussing SRD huh For the love of God! am i d only one who read about the new recruitment process on their website huh

Well Goodluck to those in the race!

For Plymouth, You will need a good degree in survey, technology or science.

I no wan stress this issue. The argument here is SIMILAR experience not SAME. No two persons are the same.
I don't want to go back repeating the same points because someone has already done justice to that. Just answer the question. Infact no need to answer the question, cause as I said before it's a No brainer. But if you guys still have opposite opinion then that's cool. I think we can all just agree to disagree.
First, there is no disagreement here, we are just giving our opinions and it's similarly the reason why HRs across different org. recruit differently.

The argument from d question centers on "same KNOWLEDGE and relative experience". Forgive me if I am not hondastanding, cause if they both have the intellectual capacity to handle the job why then should the paper qualification be d deciding factor.

I'm just saying there are other things to look out for that would surely distinguish them.

I hereby agree to disagree on this mata cheesy
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 by jayloms: 8:14am On Jun 21, 2017
Make I shook mouth for wetin nor concern me small. grin

In REAL life, no two persons have the same level of experience at doing things, even if they have been serving for the same number of years. One would most certainly have an edge over the other and then there is working style/preferences to look at.

Hmm, of a truth, shell has emotionally demoralised so many....I have been praying not to even receive any message let alone mail from anybody till 25th of June...
All to God now....
Lmao! grin

My brother remember some ppl had delay ish with the hirevue interview links. Some got theirs yesterday and d day b4, sm are yet to get. Nw, let's assume dose who got yesterday decide to take their time to do theirs after a week (7days), that would be 26th.

[s]Also, those who applied on d last day (15th) and are yet to receive d hirevue link can keep pressing for it until the 25th when they would be automatically withdrawn if they don't receive d link. But if they do, they'd have 10days to from the day d link was received, to complete their first stage assessment. So, going by these factors, 4th is d last possible day to complete the first stage assessment.[/s]

Now, what is d probability that love letter serving will not continue beyond dat "supposedly safe date"? What are the logical assurances that if you pull through to that date you are safe?

Even an experienced computer programmer will find a hard time unravelling the algorithm shell is using to serve this love letter.

Boss, na Grace, pressed down, shaken together and running over, naim pesin need for this shell Mata o and I don dey beg Baba God make He consider me for dat Grace. smiley

Hard truth is that 1,001 peeps out there have more impressing profiles coupled with rich work experience obtained during active internship as an undergraduate, it is a whole competition on that level as well, not a rosy journey. In fact the expectations from such guys are extreme, they can be disqualified from a recruitment process for the slightest reasons and start doubting your abilities after all you are a 1st class material you should know why Buhari is sick and know this and know that.

GE takes people with lesser stuffs as well, my first stop was with GE and i did not have such academic qualification as at then, my degree was still in view at the time. Gods Grace works wonders, take that from me.

Let's just accept that he was shifted to the "love letter zone" by another top performer who applied for the same role.

Cheer up guys, this is the way I see it; everyone is a winner until a better candidate shows up.

It's a healthy competition, to be eligible to apply shows you have tried in achieving something great.

The jobs are sectioned into different positions, each position has its respective benchmark, for instance say 10 slots per position.

The first eligible applicant is logged into the slot1 after a careful review of part A,B,C of stage 1.

Lets say the applicant in question has an aggregate of 65/100 in stage 1 and the first to be assessed for that position he/she then assumes the number 1 person for that position.

Progressively, when another candidate is fully assessed for stage 1 with an aggregate of 72/100, s/he becomes number 1 for that role and the initial person of 65/100 becomes number 2.
If a third person is assessed and has 84/100 as aggregate, s/he becomes number 1 for that role and the person with 72/100 becomes number 2 and person of. 65/100 becomes number 3, this goes on and on.
Let say if only 10 people would be considered for that particular role, and more people with higher aggregate shows up that the first 10 persons on the list has above 72, then Mr. 65/100 gets the 'love letter'. This could explain why the love letters trickle in as the day goes by and more people complete their test and assessment follows.

If one is observant enough, we could see that the love letters are not truly the same in terms of choice of words, perhaps for people who didn't meet the requirements but.went on to apply, theirs would be different, for those who met the requirements but aggregates at stage 1 could not let them compete, that is when the least aggregate in the bench mark has 86/100 and someone is having 45/100 for same role obviously you can't compete so a different love letter is issued but story remains same.
Then someone who has been competing on the bench mark until being knocked out would get something like a very well crafted love letter that Shell would not be pursing your candidacy on this occasion, they might go further to say they would keep your data for some time, maybe if operational demands require more hands on that role, they slack the benchMark and some people might hop in. Just like the last one shared on this forum.
You see, it's a healthy competition.
We are all winners until a better candidate shows up.

Disclaimer: Do not make any decision on the gibberish above, it is just my thoughts, however, I am certain I am not far from the truth.
Ooooooo #Deepwater flesh and blood couldn't have revealed this to you!!! But the spirit.... grin

Tomorrow is Monday, God bless your week.
Good night and bye for now. wink
Some part of your analysis makes sense, however, one is tempted to ask - "what happened to the first come first serve" clause?

One would have thought that those who met the benchmark required to progress to stage 2, would have received their invites to do so.

If Mr. A meets the benchmark (let's say 80/100 4 d BM) to proceed to d nxt stage and he's not progressed to continue his 2nd stage assessment, but gets served the love letter because Mr. B's 1st stage assessment was relatively better, then the "first come first serve" clause would have become invalid.

The only logically acceptable explanation why Mr. A got served d love letter, should be because he didn't meet d benchmark, otherwise, they might have to put up an explanation on what they meant by "first come first serve "

Abi na first come first collect ur love letter grin

Still on this case scenario, don't you think if A had known it would be a comparative assessment against all d applicants and not an assessment to beat d benchmark , he could have taken his time to gather information -including tips from those who went ahead- to stay ahead of the competition?

Just my thoughts sha grin

Just my 2 cents, I think the 2013 Bsc graduate requirement is a way of putting an age requirement for the graduate position. However, in Europe, it is unethical to reject employment based on age, gender or race. This is the reason why myself, Dre.Manuel and Others haven't gotten rejection mail yet.
Technically I believe we are still within the age bracket, being that some of us graduated at 18.. etc.
