ojun50: interesting topic of discuss, We want your candid advice on this, read below…. “I dialed my mother’s number on my wife’s phone and found out she saved it as ‘old witch”. Granted my mother has her attitude but is it fair to save her name like that? I am thinking of creating a storm because I am really upset. Please what should I do? Just save her name on your phone as "FUTURE OLD WITCH" Just as the yorubas will say Arugbo se oge ri. |

When I saw the news first on Nairaland, I didn't read it, but the news keep popping all over the internet and social media, I even have to google his name to even convince me to read the news. I can't believe a man can be this (in)famous and I have never heard about him, even once. The world is a really big place. |

Crime › Re: Island Of Sin •untold Story Of Tarkwa Bay Lagos Nigeria by jaymichael(m): 2:59am On Jul 19, 2015 |
Freaknasty: Has anyone been to this place recently. What us the current state?
Kindly share any info I was there on Friday 17th, Tarkwa bay still has it's blend of the Good, bad and ugly. But as a visitor, you will witness mostly the good. The beach is still clean. Its my favorite beach in Lagos. The breakwater is fascinating. peaceful and serene atmosphere. Most of the houses and shops run "generators" Tarkwa bay is just like any other town in Lagos except that the roads are not tarred. When you visit, take time to walk around the village. If you appreciate history, you will love those old European houses left standing, very quality structures some of which are still in excellent condition. It has the ambience of a well planned European suburban settlement long abandoned. Black people don't know how to maintain facilities. The op is wrong, there is a police station there, by the side of the old rail track that leads directly to the beach. the track intersects the path that leads to the light house. I have some pictures that I can send to you if you want or I can still post them here. I may visit there again on Monday which is a public holiday as an Islander myself, I only have to trek (though it's an hour walk through bush path) to Tarkwa bay from my house. Passing through Tomaro, Iko-ata, pass the bush path that leads to Ajala, Abagbo, lighthouse then Tarkwa bay. I love Tarkwa bay, not necessarily for the water, as I have nice waters all around me. There is even a small lake behind my house. I can see the taller of the two Eko Atlantic towers from my window. I spent my time on the rocks (breakwater). The pictures I have were taken with my phone camera but the ones I intend taking on Monday will be with my e compass camera complete with location bearings and GPS coordinates so you can look up on google maps. |

Seeee dirty This is no Lagoon, this is boundary canal that separates Apapa (waterside) from Ajegunle (Tolu). You are standing on the Apapa side overlooking the Ajegunle side. JMJ quarters is visible in tge background. More nauseating than the dirt is the smell. The two Lagoons in Lagos are the Lagos lagoon and Lekki lagoon. |

kenny987: Impeachment doesn't just happen, there must be impeachable offences committed and party affiliation or supposed anti-party activities are NOT grounds for an impeachment. Even if he is expelled from the party, he had the valid required majority of numbers to clinch the seat of President. Unless he commits offences bordering on misappropriation of funds or dereliction of his duties, gross misconduct and so on, he cannot be impeached. An impeachment also calls for fair hearing not just 2/3 votes so he must also defend himself when any allegations are made against him. Note that party rules do not govern the business of the National Assembly even if APC will want to make it look like their party has the final say even when it may be detrimental to the common good of the people.
Let's just pray they get over these party/tribal sentiments and do what they were elected to do. Exactly. There are procedures to these things and engaging in "anti-party" acts is not a legal justification for impeachment. The National Assembly serves the nation, not the party. |

Someone just cook up some mumbo-jumbo out of the figment of his imagination and publish same in a national newspaper knowing some "wailing wailers" who never wish the the country move forward will orgasm over it and they will sell their paper. |

Science/Technology › Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by jaymichael(m): 6:13pm On Jul 08, 2015 |
ceejay80s: Go to their website for specifications or send them an online email, does ur led TV use an external adapter power source or is it direct to power ? Nothing like wattage regarding the specifications of the product. just 100-240v 50-60hz |
Science/Technology › Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by jaymichael(m): 3:32pm On Jul 08, 2015 |
ceejay80s: Yes, it will work on led TV's the only difference is how long the battery would carry the TV,(all led TVs have very low watts than lcd TVs ) it depends on the watts of ur led, check the back of the TV for the watts, u no get problem , u go watch the soccer match finish even before the battery drains out The wattage is not shown on the back of my 32" led tv, lg-32LB550A just voltage of 110~ 240Vac 50- 60Hz How do I determine the wattage? |
