Ajehswag: so you mean they're a bit biased with the list I wouldn't use the word biased especially as I don't know exactly what criteria they used in drawing it. All I would say is that many of the players on their list don't have any buzz. It's the buzz that makes you know an athlete even if you don't watch the sport. An athlete like Dennis Rodman for instance had a lot of buzz because of his antics even though he was eclipsed by Jordan and Pippen |
Sports › Re: ESPN: Top 10 Famous Athletes Of 2017 by jayriginal: 8:27pm On May 30, 2017 |
Ajehswag, I've not heard Mickelsons name or even Tiger Woods name this year.
Your topic mentions 2017. Golf isn't in the same category as boxing neither is Mickelson as charismatic as Joshua. See where I'm coming from?
Just to be clear, I went through the entire 100. Joshua isn't even there, no Klitschko either. I don't think I saw Mayweather but I did see Manny Paqiao. Meanwhile there are several names that I don't know and it's not necessarily because I don't watch the associated sport.
I don't watch basketball but I know LeBron. I don't watch golf but I know Woods and Mickelson. Get the idea? |

No Joshua Anthony? What kind of list is that?
Why is Mickelson there and our boy isn't? |

seunmsg: Jonathan was really a high performer. He achieved so much mid way into his tenure that Nigerians had to massively vote him out 2 years later due to his wonderful performance. OP, well-done Sir. As in the article is just a crude joke. Who is owing salaries? Federal or state governments? That's just one example of the nonsense in the articles. I could go on but there's no need when people are determined to rewrite history. |

Who counted the demons? If a demon is itself demon possessed (a reasonable possibility) , how do you count it?
What language were they singing the national anthem in and didn't you find the sound of 50 million singing demons rather deafening? |

Electroweb: Nice pix. Keep the pictures coming. I think you can do some investigative reporting like finding out how much handy men (plumbers, mechanics, electricians, security guards, mcdonalds, starbucks etc) make over there so that guys that want to go and hustle there will know how much they will likely earn. How much is earned per hour? Cost of accomodation for one room? Things like that. What do you think? They earn quite decently as those jobs are always in demand. Meanwhile you can look it up yourself on the net. |

I would set aside my fear what if "I loose the job" , I get fired, the company closed down, because all these things can also occur in developed countries every time. Trust me you also don't wanna be jobless in freezing Canada. The government takes care of its jobless citizens. Its not Nigeria where you're basically on your own. |
