WES had clearly received your transcript and sent a message (most times email) back to your school to respond to and verify. Once your school responds, the evaluation commences and it reflects on our WES dashboard.

You could pm your reference number so I could help you reach out to WES and ask them when they sent an email to your school. You then ask your school to check their email for any mail received from that date.
Hello... Please can u help me out too? WES sent me a mail since 8th May that my documents have been sent to my institution for verification. i'm just coming from the registrar's office but they haven't seen any mail from WES with my name on it. I was there on 9th, 1Th and 16th May as well. still no show. I sent about 30 mails to WES, still no response. kindly help me contact them. I'll Pm u for my details now.

I did that too but its not recognised outside the country..
What exactly is not recognized outside the country? the Certificate that u get from PMI after writing an exam that costs about $250. in which you'll sit in an exam hall for about 4 hrs answering 200 questions? Please do your research well. The PMP exam from PMI is globally recognized.

Did my PMP last yr during NYSC only to be told at the end of the programme that PMP was a prerequisite for PMI and that PMI could only be certified outside Nigeria. So this is certainly good news for some of us That may want to get the Certificate for PMI.
Definitely not true. I did my PMP last year and I am PMI certified. You should log onto pmi.org and read more about PMP certifications by PMI. There are a lot of organizations in Nigeria offering pmp course (which is the 35 hour course work u need) that will qualify u to write the pmp by PMI. I did that and wrote the exam in Lagos. so do ur research properly. Thanks

There is no crime in firing on all cylinders o. I thank God I did last year. It is funny the person I gave my materials to read without having to pay a dime. She didn't read because she felt it won't come out since she got it on a platter of gold. Only to find out after the exam. You can be lucky to hit a pot of gold. It's worth it 100%. You have to be strong and determined in your search for success. The God of this scholarship knows who is more persistent and who wants this scholarship most and so he rewards accordingly!

Please I want to ask, from the past ptdf scholarship programs, when is it likely that candidates are short listed for aptitude test? I mean, from the day the registration ends to the days ptdf would send invites for aptitude test is like how long? 5 weeks? 6 weeks or how long (usually).

@Walspring Noted. I've commenced preparation for the GRE and paying for the exam has been something of a burden. I aim to make scores between 165 and 167 in both sections so if I fall short of my target, it wouldn't be below 320. Anyways... I have to study now and I hope I get some assistance with the registration fee too. Well, till then.

DanjaNinja:
Yes, indeed there is a facebook group and at that time, we thought adding members to that facebook group was a good idea. In retrospect, that was a wrong move. A very wrong move.

Why? Firstly, the facebook group is a private group. All information posted on that group is private and cannot be found through a search engine like google. Incase you dont know, valuable information that cannot be easily found, is useless information.

Secondly, it violates one of the core principles behind the creation of this platform which is to provide a community where people can help one another with useful information on passing the GRE and subsequently getting admitted to the university of one's choice. You may have not noticed but at the time we did GRE group additions, there were barely any meaningful contributions on this thread. Instead, 90% of the posts were based on requests for addition to the GRE group. Suffice to say, this thread became a transit/connecting station for Gre group travellers. They come in, request to be added, get added and never return to make any meaningful contribution. One outcome was inevitable - this thread was going to die. For the sake of preserving this beautiful community of humble, selfless, volunteers helping each other succeed and thrive, we did the needful and shut down all gre facebook additions. The recent string of high quality meaningful post on this thread is a testament to that decision. In Olamide's voice "Every post on the thread was a hit back to back".

Moving on, I know i have been absent from this thread but from the bottom of my heart, i thank all those who have kept this thread alive. Sirriddy, i sincerely thank you for selflessly leading this thread even as you do your PhD. Studying in the US is a tough experience. Only those who currently live and study in america would understand what you go through to make contributions on this thread. To do three heavy courses with mountain loads of weekly assignments, work 20 hours a week as a Graduate assistant, cook, hustle babe and yet still find time to come on nairaland to make contributions is truly laudable of you.

To all those who have made truly mind blowing contributions - drHopeful, time2smile, believerspraise, Scholastica16, Bolisticbond026, andradaeze to name a few, i say thank you. Keep doing what you do. God has a wonderful way of blessing those who give. And biko, abeg no vex If your name was not mentioned, please keep up the good work because all those who have benefited from your contributions greatly appreciate you as well.

Oh before i forget, did you know its been almost three years since this thread was created? Its funny how it grew into this beautiful community. When i made the first post, i had one goal in my mind "build a place where like minded individuals can help each other pass the GRE by sharing useful information". Right now its 178 pages and 187,500 views strong. Even though ranking was never the intent, if you do a google search on how to get high scores on the gre, this thread is number 6 on the list. This would not have been possible without every single person who has made a contribution. You all made this happen. It goes to show the what can be accomplished when people come together to support and help one another grow.

On a side note, to all those complaining about reading from the first page of the thread, i see and hear you. You think the GRE is tough? lol. Wait till you get to america. You haven't seen anything yet. If you cant even read 178 pages of useful information that would help you achieve your dreams, how can you even survive? It begs the question - "where are your priorities in life?" America is a beautiful tough place. You have to be really strong to survive here.

@Dneroomero and others

I strongly kick against writing any letter or any protest. Guys, NDDC is not under any obligation to grant us scholarship. Besides, we are only "prospective" scholars. They can even cancel the entire process with just a simply excuse that the commission doesn't have money.

Please, let's be very careful about the things we write on this platform. People from the commission maybe watching. Patience is a virtue. Let's all imbibe patience as we wait on the commission to conclude the process. A visit to the commission by two prospective scholars living in PH wouldn't be a bad idea but NOT writing letter or posting thing anywhere.
My dear, have you seen the letter? Why are u scared of the unknown? And if NDDC is dissolved today nko? Should we all then diehuh Don't be deceived by our interpretation of the word 'patience'. "The patient dog eats the fattest bone, yes, but only after the impatient ones have eaten all the flesh".

Maybe you've put all your eggs inside one (NDDC) basket, and u want to be as careful as can be, I understand, but it's not the best.

I suggest we see the contents of the letter. Then we decide whether or 'whethern't' to proceed wink .
EducationRe: NDDC 2016 Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship Application Commences by Jayroland:
It's not about patience and all that. For the fact that some other scholars got theirs in October some time ago does not make it right and shouldn't be the case always. If they know they take so much time, why don't they start the process earlier like PTDF and others?

We might be quiet, and wait then the eventual winners of the scholarship resumes school in December. It still falls within Normal I guess?

Maybe you don't know that this is part of their obligations/responsibilities and they should do it right. Don't have the idea that they are doing you are favour because they are not; it's part of the core values of the commission.

My Good people...

Is not about fighting...Is not about if we should take them to court...Is not about, Oh! we are still applicant. If you look it like that it will remain like that, If you say you are on the side of "After-all you're not sure if your name is on the list so why should you start fighting?" Then You are wrong!!! We are not fighting...Maybe they have forgotten people are waiting for them and is time to remind them... IS LIKE A REMINDER CALL.

We've waited too long, schools would soon commence, alot has happened and still happening...

It is not fighting, it is called speaking out.
Our problem in Africa is "FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN". It never allows us to "TRY". But when we see and hear of people who tried we admirer them, we want to be like them.

I remember few weeks ago, our brothers in the UK went to the media to protest about their ALLOWANCE. Some criticized them, I follow to criticize them. But their struggle paid-off, it was not long they were answered to.

I remembered earlier in June, 2016, NDDC released the list of shortlisted candidates for the then written exams. Do you want to know why that list was released to the public? There were critics from opposition...It forced them to come out clear.

We need to push...!!!!

For God sake! I know so many persons should be halted for this exercise because of "You dey wait for NDDC" to bring out list.

THIS IS IT:

You want to wait on Senate to sit before they can screen the MD-Designate?
You want to wait on the Ag -MD to handover to the Incoming Management?

Hmmm...In as much as is a group thing, I wouldn't say much, i will leave it at that..
But bliv me, if we shake them a bit, post one or two messages around results will fall-out...Who knows? Maybe next week or sooner

After-all they dont know anybody....Why dont we just shake them a little? no harm!

On the contrary, i will take heed to your advice....

Lets keep watching...

PEACE BE STILL.....
I take your stand on this. It's not about whether ones name is on the list or not. considering that schools have already opened and lectures may have started, some of us forget that we need time and money to gather and take care of other things as regard traveling and all. I suggest that u drop the proposed letter, let's criticize its contents rather than kicking against the idea of writing a letter that we don't even know its contents.

I'll Pm u right away
HealthRe: The New Trick Used To Sell Expired Products In Nigeria - David King by Jayroland:
Adding to what the op has noted, please let's also take note about a more ominous method these demons use. Short Bread biscuit has a one year expiration date but this one I saw was 1 year and 6 months. what raised my suspicion was the fact that the ink and printing of the expiration month and year was different from that's of the production day, month and year, as well as that's of the expiration day. I was really troubled. I bought the snack though, but I went to other shops till I found 1 that wasn't tampered with and I walked up to the seller and requested for my money back. And I told her to discard those goods cos they had expired but she was arguing with me. The painful thing was that another woman was defending her, telling me not to spoil market. It's really pathetic. Please let's all be more observant as a careful observation could save us a lot of trouble.
Thanks.
EducationRe: So The 'O' In BODMAS Doesn't Stand For "OF" by Jayroland: 8:27pm On Jul 19, 2016
I don't think they lied to us. I knew the 'O' to represent 'Power Of'. So, I don't think they were wrong. As you know, PEMDAS = BODMAS. I trust you also know that 'M' and 'D' can interchange, thereby, their order has no effect on the answer. Also note that P = Parenthesis, E = Exponents, M= Multiplication, D = Division, A = Addition and S = Subtraction.
Bracket, power Of, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction ie BODMAS

Interesting, so this fact here gets to strengthen my argument and doubts. I was certain that all my questions were not marked because I allowed time to run out (or time ran out on me). Although I had answered some questions before, when I mistakenly closed my browser - firefox (in a search of calculator), I had to login again and I discovered that most questions I had answered had been wiped. I don't even know what to expect. I don't know whether to be hopeful or curse the handlers of this shabby exam.

professorgome:
In the interview, they will ask you:
1. To justify the reason you want to study in that area.
2. Questions on the selected area of study
3. Current Affairs (Federal and State)
The last time I appeared before the interview panel, they asked me, "who was the first governor of my state" (Rivers State). They asked a friend of mine, to name the first democratic president of Nigeria.
They may ask you to give them the course content of the course you want to study and all that. The interview is usually simple because the questions are from what you tell them in the panel. For example, if they ask you, "what did you study in your first degree?" And you answer "Computer science". Then they will ask, "Did you do programming languages?" And you say "yes". They will ask you to name the ones you did. And you say, qbasic, fortran, C++, JAVA and scripting languages etc. And they ask again. "What does the extension .js stand for?" If you had done java scripting, you will know that .js is an extension for java script file. And in that order. You have to be honest with yourself. Do not say what you have not done, it will lead you into trouble.
For those that will make it to the interview, goodluck to you and God's favour.
I tot u said you made 19/50 and you have hope for interview... hmmm make me and my friends wey get 22/50 for Engineering go dey prepare too.
