EstherOA: Visa Denied Today January 4th,2023. COA: $21,012 Scholarship: $3,000 MBA management
VO: Goodmorning Me: Goodmorning. Happy new year. VO: Thanks VO: What did you study for your undergrad? Me: Biotechnology and I graduated with a second class upper honors. VO: What do you currently do? Me: I currently work as the managing director at (mentioned it). It's a family company and a business that deals with importation and wholesaling of different collectibles such as designer wears from turkey, provisions, cosmetics and furnitures. We operate in 3 branches across Nigeria. My duties entails overseeing all activities that goes on in the business. I identify and direct the implementation of business strategy such as branding, marketing and customer feedbacks making sure they are effective and efficient. I also manage the relationship and links we have created with other associates such as the suppliers, distributors, retailers and wholesalers for continuous return and profit in the business. I'm charge of leading, motivating and guiding the sales representatives and mangers across all branches. One of the essence of this MBA is to to acquire more theoretical business and leadership skills, knowledge and techniques to level up my performance at the business to drive us more growth, visibility and profitability. MBA will provide me with the guidance into leading and directing the business goals. VO: Have you travelled out of Nigeria ? Me: Yes, United State of America for vacation in 2017 and exchange visitors program in 2018 & 2019. VO: Any other country aside USA? Me: Yes, Benin Republic VO: Typed for a long time....... VO: How do you intend to pay for your school? Me: My mother will be sponsoring me, she has demonstrated she is financially capable to fund my education to the university before I was issued the I-20. She works as a procurement manager at .... oil&gas and her duties entails ... (I listed them) in additional to that, she's is also the general financial manager at the procurement department. My mom is also the CEO and founder of ....(called the company name)., where I currently work as the MD. Like I stated initially the business deals with the importation and wholesaling of designer wears from turkey & UK, provisions, cosmetics and other home items such as furnitures. She operates in 3 branches which are on the mainland(ojo) and island(balogun market) here in Lagos and also a branch in wuse market Abuja. She owns a supermarket, cosmetics store and 4 double store boutique across all branches. Combining both she makes 140million annually. VO: Gave a long glance at my I-20 VO: sorry we won't be approving you today
On my I-20 the school stated I am required to come for orientation by 7th. Since visa processing would take more than that, I believe that's what gave me this refusal. They probably concluded I won't meet up as the school required.
Kindly give in your feedbacks. Thanks There is nothing wrong with your transcript Your answers are 100% okay And this has nothing to do with the fact that your school was resuming on the 7th and your interview was on the 4th Every V.O knows that a student can request for late arrival letter from their school and if that was the problem, she would have asked you to tender your letter of late arrival Also, after an interview, it takes only 3 working days for visa to be printed on your passport. So your visa would have come out on that same 7th and you can pickup and travel on the 8th which is not late The only reason why you were denied is because the USA want to reduce the number of Nigerians they issue visas to. They are basically denying everyone whether you have been to the US or not I was denied last year, I had a full tuition waiver and had been to the US and Canada between 2015/2017 and I was denied for no reason The sooner Nigerians realize that USA don’t want we Nigerians in their country, the better for us. I applied for UK and I got it easily |

Hi guys, I just moved to the UK In October for my PHD with my wife and 2 kids. I’m the main applicant and wife is dependent.
My two younger brothers are also coming in February for their masters with their wife’s and kids
The 3 of us are planning on buying a property which would serve as a family house for 3 of us our wife’s and kids, instead of paying multiple rent.
We jointly have about 18M in Nigeria Please can this be enough to serve as a down payment for a bungalow where we can spread the balance over the years in a mortgage plan.
Also, we are planning on putting all the funds (18M) into one account and send it to UK via form A. Would this be possible?
Please can someone advise me on the process for all this and guide us on what best to do to avoid mistakes
Please advise |
