VISA ALERT Got married February 2022. Date of visa application- 8th April Date of biometrics- 11th April Documents submitted - CAS, bank statement, waec, degree cert, transcript, TB cert, NYSC cert and passport For my dependent - TB cert, marriage cert, pictures, bank statement (same as mine) and passport. Sent first paid mail 13th may, was told awaiting decision Sent another paid mail 19th May and was told decision has been made Got a collection email this evening for both myself and my wife. Glory be to God. Just to add this took exactly 6 weeks from the day of biometrics. My friends who also did their biometrics on the 12th and 13th also got a collection mail this evening. 43 Likes 3 Shares |

SPARKAMANI:It’s not the same thing, stop passing false info. If a dependent is applying same time as the main applicant, it will be issued same time with the main applicant. If they are applying to join, it will now take 24 weeks to process. This is clearly stated on Home office website which was updated Wednesday 11th May 2022. |

sammyp01:You should go ahead and extend your POF to be safe. Away from the topic, isn’t it bothersome that folks who did their biometrics from 4th April haven’t received their visa? Prior to this, the average time was like 8-10 working days, now it’s literally getting past the stipulated 15 working days stated by the home office. Is there any reason for this delay?? Been asking also if anyone has gotten their visa since after Easter? |

mrbizz:She can definitely go ahead with her maiden, there is no problem with that. My wife and I got married couple of months back as well and the whole process to do a change of name and NIN update, new international passport etc was daunting and we couldn’t pull that off in the small space of time we had, so we decided she keep her maiden name for now. A lot of women choose to keep their maiden, it’s not a big deal that she must do a change of name. When you are submitting your visa application make sure to include your marriage certificate and some proof like pictures. Ya all will be good. Goodluck!! 2 Likes |

I have a question, might seem stupid but I need clarification. I deposited funds for my POF on the 4th of March, is it advisable to print a statement from 4th march-1st April ? Or I should print 5th march- 1st April. Secondly is there a problem with the lump sum showing in the bank statement? Note: I am using this for CAS. |

AlphaUno:How long did it take for them to review the documents you uploaded. I have uploaded everything except for my bank statement and I am waiting for my POF to mature which will mature on the 1st April. Which coincidentally is the deadline day for CAS request. I hope to upload the bank statement first thing in the morning once I get it. |

Ok guys I just wanted to make sure i am calculating the right amount of money needed for my POF ( with a dependent). Can someone help me confirm if this is right?? Balance of my tuition fee - 6950 Maintenance- 9207 For my dependent- 6120 Total- 22,277 pounds Roughly 12.6Million naira according to today oando rate of 562 naira per pounds. When I got there, I didn't see any applicant at the corridor,that was on a Wednesday the security guy inside at d door, not the one at the gate tho, gave me a form and later on I went inside, jst after a while he came with a printed piece of paper, the consulate email ND fone number in it. And said the lady asked him to give it to me, that I shld send my request ND my document to that email ND wait to be invited. I jst feel smtin isn't ryt as all the ppl I know didn't go tru dis process. Annoying thing is my school resumes soonest in a couple of weeks |

Was given an email at the embassy and told to send my visa request indicating purpose of travel, date of travel ND attach necessary documents. Did that since Wednesday last week and nothing still.. to be honest am pretty confuse right now as I had to travel all d way from portharcourt, still hanging around at abuja. What do you suggest? |

Bro I was accepted into Emilio Aquinaldo college school of medicine, all the necessary documents sent to me. Was at the embassy in gwarinpa and was told to send my request to their email and wait to be invited? I have done that and I have been waiting for days now, Wana know if that was the same process you went tru while getting ur visa to the Philippines. And please how long did you wait before u were eventually invited for an interview. Seem they adopted this procedure newly as my friends over there said they didn't pass tru dis process when they did theirs couple of years back. |
