Someone asked me, painting before tiles or tiles before painting..

I don't remember the exact order I used.

I told him, it doesn't matter I hope I didn't lead him astray?

It matters! it's tiling before painting. Painting should be the very last thing you do in a building after which you clean and move in.

According the story he posted on his Facebook timeline:
"Yesterday I visited coal camp for vehicle maintenance and I met this two street hustlers!

Asked them how they started their business, "we borrowed 25k each to start and we have repayed 10k back to the man who gave us the Loan".
I said ,
What will you do if I give you 150k ���

They replied " Oga we will buy wheelbarrow and stop carrying the products on our head then add more goods,
Oga we still de school we go use the balance pay our school fees"

They both received empowerment of 150k Each ���.

Please looking for tips around suspended (POP) ceiling for a project in Lekki . I have quotes for 3.5 - 4.5K per m2 ( all in) but is that a good way to proceed?

Would it be better to get the materials and just pay for installation. I am very particular about the quality of delivery and it is a big project 750M2 in total.

Story building are not held up by the blocks but by the pillars. Blocks should just be partition elements.

Especially Nigerian blocks where quality control is not certain.

So you can use 6" as long as the pillars are a designed but I think plumbing could be an issue. I would use 9" on the exterior perimeter and 6" on the inside except for private areas.

Good luck on your project.

Bear in mind that the size of the blocks will as well determine the size (thickness) of the pillars. If it's the pillars that hold an upstairs as you rightly said, the pillars must be as thick as possible to carry every weight. 6" thick pillars for me are too thin for storey buildings.
