For me what matters in this argument of type of dance and song is the content of your heart/mind. Are you truly offering the dance and song to the glory of God and the edification of the church?
I believe that if we don't see anything wrong in doing traditional styles of dance and song in the church then nothing is wrong with break dance and rap. If we all sing reggae (a genre that belongs to the Igbo - smoking Rastafarians) in gospel lyrics and dance to such songs in 'Bob Marley style', then nothing is wrong with rap and break dance.
A pastor once said something that changed my perspective on issues like this. He said "there is nothing like gospel song, what we have is gospel lyrics". This means that it is the lyrics (wordings) in the song that decides whether it belongs to the church; not the genre or style.
