The happenings in the political space in Kano just resonates the quote, "No permanent enemies and no permanent friends in politics but permanent interests".

In Kano, 2003 with Buhari as APP Presidential candidate, Shekarau (APP) denied Kwankwaso/Ganduje (PDP) a 2nd term in office. SAK-2003 (Shekarau Akwori Kwankwaso i.e. Shekarau is better than Kwankwaso) was the slogan.

After his own 2nd successive terms ended in 2011, Kwankwaso (PDP) returned to complete his. Upon completion, his anointed deputy (Ganduje) assumed office when they both moved to APC. Meanwhile, Shekarau had since gone to PDP as a senator and even a minister under Jonathan.

Later, Shekarau also joined APC, Kwankwaso returned to PDP while Ganduje stayed back in APC.

Now, both Shekarau and Kwankwaso are now together in NNPP while Ganduje is in opposition.

Then, what manner of leaders are Jonathan, Obasanjo and co, after benefitting immensely from PDP and goodwill of Nigerians, getting to the peak of their political carriers on the platform, turned their back on the party and Nigeria?
