If you guys are talking about sending certificates to WES then I don't think you need to spend any money. You can fax them using Hellofax.com. I merged both my certificates into one PDF file and sent them to WES same with my wife's and they were both accepted. Just register on the website and follow the instructions use the signature tab to input your reference number and send accordingly. WES fax no. +14169729004
Please how did you pay for WES because there is no debit card just credit??

Please help clarify this question thanks.

Proof of funds: i dont have the required funds in my account. if I get it from my parents/friends say a month before I get an invitation to apply for visa can I submit the bank statement like that showing 6 months transaction however the 12,500 dollas reflects just a month in my account. Then get my parents to write a letter that it's a gift from them and I can assess the fund as my own. Will this instance be possible to get my visa approved?

they assess educational qualifications not occupation. Ur occupation can be different from ur qualifications too
Ok thanks. That is to say any qualification can be assessed under WES.

This Canada EE thing can drain the hell outta you..especially when you are just confused over some info. From reading page 0 to getting conflicting responses. The long wait of WES evaluation is another agent that can send frustration down your spine...hahhahahaha..
Me i have resolved to take everything one step at a time biko..before i develop HBP. From bookmarking down to writing down infos on a special book then sending pm to gurus..meehhhnn this journey aint easy.
WES should be fast abeg...lemme jump into the pool and know what next.
Hi I'm sorry to ask this question but how do you know if your occupation should be assessed by WES?

I wish I can flog you first before providing you with an answer.
C'mon will you update that profile before I open my eyes? On a serious note though, you really don't need to wait for any length of time before you show POF acquired from sale of assets.
So long as you are able to show proof of previous ownership and sales transaction, you are good to go. You kuku still have 90 days post ITA to sort other documentation waka. Congrats on your IELTS.
Hi please regarding proof of funds, if the money gets transferred to my account from a friend how long should the money stay before I submit a bank statement? Considering the fact that my previous account balance have been way less than the requested amount.

I came over with a 476 visa, and I am in a professional role. However, my job is in finance, not engineering. Which has worked out fine cos I find now that I enjoy working with money more than I enjoy working with process plants. I did have some difficulties with getting interviews for roles with my 476 visa though, I won't lie about that. As I said earlier, I actually believe that my company was not entirely clear on what sort of visa it was.

One thing I did do was make it clear on my CV that I had unlimited right to work, without mentioning what sort of visa I had. If I was asked, I told the truth, but I did not offer it up.

I would also recommend trying to get call centre roles. They never seem to run out of vacancies, and they are pretty loose in hiring. Once you're feeding yourself and money is coming in, start aggressively pursuing your PR. Once you have that PR, sky is the limit.
Hi please I have a few questions to ask about 476 visa.

Part of the requirements is that the institution the engineer graduated from must be under Washington accords institution. I want to ask if Nigerian universities fall within this category?

SallyAUS:
HI, I am no expert, but my advice is that if you are still with the company and in that position, then that means as each month passes by your experience is growing hence you can apply for an assessment. But this tricky Vetassess will most definitely taken one year meaning that your positive outcome letter will have you written as experience-0 months.

then again what if they take more than a year means that you have no more months on offer e.g I have seen where people have 7 years experience and Vetassess returns the positive assessment back with 4 years 8 months experience. I hope you understand

Secondly I advice you read the requirements on the vetasses website to be sure that the requirements are still the same.

I guess before your role as assistant project manager you had other Project builder related roles( so more years of experience)

you could nominate project builder to get a positive outcome. However it has no state sponsorship 190 only skilled visa 189. so if you have more years working as a builder you may have more points... and because with the above it is 0 points only 15 points for education... with project builder if you have some years of experience you may get 5 points and above so that may help. plus 15 points for education ( check a point calculator)

But please make proper website checks as well to keep you updated as requirements are always changing.
Thank you so much.
Please could you email me a copy of your organisation chart and reference letter? I'd be very grateful. oseny51@yahoo.com

Hi this is where GOD surprised me While I was waiting for my naija transcript to travel and reach vetasses. I had applied with what i had my Msc in Construction Project Management (UK) and it was more than enough. Apparently, with Vetasses A Masters degree in the Nominated occupation esp CPM or Project builder is more than enough...

for experience ideally you must have at least more than a year. because if eg you submit with 2 years experience vetasses will remove one year and your positive outcome year will be least a year some times even more... it can be positive outcome experience 10 months. I hope you understand
Hi SallyAUS can an assistant project manager (construction) with about one year experience assess with vetassess as well as norminate construction project manager occupation ?

Why wait for an employer to nominate you when you can do the skill migration. What outstanding skill do you have that an employer will not get in the country in project management?

It is better to start the skill assessment than waiting for employer to nominate you.
Vetassess needs at least one year experience which I don't have yet before I can do an assessment with them. This is why I am trying this option for now.

Your field of study must really be in high demand to get this Visa

FUN FACT: I was sponsored by an employer under that kind of visa. I think it might have been called a different subclass at the time...can't remember but, I was the first person ever that company sponsored. They paid for everything. My employer lodged my application on the 20th of November that year and by 22nd of November that same year -2 days later( I swear down-not kidding) I got a call from my brother who was also CC'd in the visa grant email, congratulating me. I didn't even know I got the visa. It was supposed to take months but my employer was desperate and used an agent from the chamber of commerce to lodge my application. I didn't pay a dime and there were no conditions on my visa or employment letter. Bear in mind I was already in Australia

My life is a testimony
Thank you for responding. Amazing testimony. My field is Construction project manager. I have my Bsc in estate management and Msc in Construction project management. I'm presently in Nigeria but I pray an employer nominates me.

I am glad I was able to clarify thingssmiley . Some years ago who send Australia, Canada, NZ? All Nigerians knew then was the US or UK. Fast forward to today, '"breeze haff blow and the blokos of the fowl haff been exposed". I met one Naija Gynaecologist(British passport and all) in WA they are now in Melbourne. The man sold his house in the UK and has sworn never to return. Free car, free 4 bedroom house, his own PA/nurse and above all better pay grin
Hi wellendowed, please I'd like to know if there are any chances of employers sponsoring foreigners to migrate and work for them eg 187 visa. I am really interested in this visa type. Or what's your opinion on employer sponsored visa?

Good afternoon everyone. Awesome thread and people on this thread.

I bumped into this thread about three weeks ago while searching for Australian immigration and have read over 80%. May God bless @belong for this thread and all those that have been selflessly supporting applicants.

Planning to send assessment to EA by the end of the month (my husband actually) hes the proncipal applicant. but I just want us to do it right as we have had a negative assessment beginning of this year due to a lot of ignorance.

My husband is a graduate of civil engineering with a masters in construction project management from a uk university. He practiced for a few years in the uk doing core civil engineering.

He's been working in naija since 2011 but in marketing and sales. So the first assessment was ignorantly sent. And a negative result because work experience and uni certificates didn't match.

From reading this thread religiously, I was able to tell where we made the initial mistake. Now here's our situation now and I would humbly like reviews and suggestions on how to do it right.

We both have ielts which was written last year for canadian immigration. Both got 8 across band and have the full 20 marks. My husband is the principal applicant. I'm a graduate of estate management but I practiced only for a few years before I went into personal assistant for about 5 years. But I'm now a fashion designer with a registered company.

My husband is writing his cdr and is almost through. All the grants and ITA making me nervous and excited at the same time. He has over 10 years experience but the last 6 was not in civil engineering. But he has a personal company that does core engineering (registered and paying tax accordingly) so he's writing his CDR with his uk experience and his personal company projects so as to bag the maximum experience of at least 10 years.

We're not so young (covers face) husband is 43 and i'm 38 so not much in points for the age band.

Can you people please take time from your busy schedules to help give advice on how to make this assessment positive.

I'm very sorry about my long write up. It's just the wish and excitement of hoping I'd one day give my own testimony about our grants.

Thank you
Please someone should respond to this.
Which occupation did he nominate previously Construction project manager or engineer? Cos I haven't seen anyone on this thread nominate Construction project manager.

[I think the idea is skilled qualification. This PTA is only to claim qualification and not to assess your skill. Even if you want to claim qualification points alone for your skill and not experience, it has to be assessed by the relevant authority with a positive outcome that u are suitable for that skill. PTA is not sufficient. I did my assessment with ACS through the RPL route.[/quote]Thank you

Dear Fam,

Let me celebrate the small victories 'cause I know the major ones are not far ahead! Few of you may remember the back and forth about claiming points for qualification even when not assessed by the assessing body. In my case I desperately needed additional 5 points and took a plunge which was not for the faint hearted (lol) and claimed my BSc anyway. I then paid for VETASSESS Point Test Advise and expected to results out in 10-12 weeks like most people here have stated. But it took 1 week from them receiving my transcript and 3 weeks from my application for them to give me my outcome.

My degree? AQF Bachelors Degree! I no fit happy finish!!!
Hi ZeoW, congratulations. I want to ask what degree type you assessed before you assessed your bsc? Did you do a full assessment of your employment and degree before you did this assessment with vetassess? And if vetassess is your assessing body but you only want to claim points for qualification and not employment would the point test advice be sufficient or would I still have to do the full assessment of both qualification and employment?

Hi, does it mean with 60 or 65 points one can get an ITA in the above occupations irrespective of other occupations requiring 70 and above points in subsequent rounds.

Good afternoon house. For those who have assessed with vetassess, did you statement of service/employment letter have the direct contact details of your human resource manager. Mine has her name and signature. And moreover I honestly don't want her to be contacted.

I am asking because of this clause:

Official contact details and signature of the person writing the statement of service – references from colleagues at the same level or below will not be accepted.

Both medicals and PCC last for 1 year by DIBP standard. Both are better done as close as possible to visa lodging date so as to push IED as further as possible from grant date. If an applicant's case is not finalized until one of medicals or PCC expires.........they are likely to be asked to repeat the assessment by CO.

IED is determined by the expiry date of PCC or medicals (which ever comes first).

PS; Our Nigerian PCC usually have 3-month validity. Fortunately, DIBP still takes it as one year, so no need to panic like I did when I got my PCC from Alagbon and saw 3-months validity. In the same vain, my UK PCC didn't carry an expiry date, but I guess DIBP will still deem it valid for 1 year.
Thank you for the reply.

For PCC its best to do it when you have gotten your invitation to apply for visa and ready to pay and submit cos it only lasts for 3 months. Same applies for medicals, there's a number that will be generated from your immi account which you can only access when you have been invited to apply, you'll take the number to the medical center. Based on my experience your medicals determine your entry date (I stand to be corrected) so its best to do medicals like 4 days before you pay, by that time your results would have been uploaded and you'll be submitting a complete application.
Thank you so much for the detailed reply. Just want to clarify, medicals also lasts for 3 months.

Getting all the documents you need ready including medicals outcome and PCC just before submitting your application and uploading them once you've paid, hopefully once you are assigned to a case officer, they see you've submitted all required docs and as such may not need to contact you for additional documents.
Hi, do I need to present any document before I can obtain PCC and medical test result?

greetings to everyone, please i need your help (especially for those that have assessed with vetassess) and advice on a very serious issue.

Before the new MTLSSL and STSOL list was released in April i had already put in my EOI for state nomination visa 190 for the occupation PROJECT BUILDER. Vetassess is the assessing body for this occupation. I got a positive outcome for this occupation way back in January. My points breakdown is:-

Age:- 30 Points
Qualification:- 15 points
English:- 10 points

but when the list changed, the occupation project builder was only restricted to the visa 189 rather than 190, but i don't meet the minimum points to apply for the 189. So what i did was to nominate another occupation construction project manager which can be used to apply for visa 190 through state nomination.

The way vetassess assesses is very demonic as they do not assess separately for qualification and employment but rather they do both at once in a full assessment. i got my assessment for the change of occupation few days back and the outcome letter states that my Qualification is highly relevant to the occupation i have nominated, but my work experience is not highly relevant. That both qualifications and work experience must be positive to get a "POSITIVE SKILLS ASSESSMENT OUTCOME".

I only want to claim points for qualification and i do not even have enough years to claim points for experience. if it were possible, i would have just assessed for qualification alone, but vetassess dont assess a single aspect of your skills. I just spoke with my case officer a few minutes ago to see if i can use my qualification alone on that outcome letter to claim points for my qualification for EOI, but she stated that i must present both positive qualification and positive employment for visa 190/189, that it is only in the case of applying for a post study work visa that i can present only qualification.

so right now i am at a crossroad because i dont think the woman knows what she is taking about. do i go on with submitting an EOI claiming points for age, english and qualification but in the outcome letter reference number( which carries a positive qualification and a negative employment) in my application form or just look elsewhere for inspiration in getting points?

Please and please i have been on this issue for two days now i am lopping everyone for an advice? thanks so much
Please what is your job position? And how many years experience do you have?
I intend assessing for this occupation soon.

Hello house.
I will be graduating from the UK this year in Information Systems. So far so good, my results are out and I smashed it. It was until my final year that I regretted coming to the UK for BSc as it is difficult staying back to work after studies. Let me cut the story short and go straight to the point.
.
.
.
I have read from the first page to a reasonable length and known somethings, but I have some questions to ask.

I applied to ACS for assessment, (used my transcript + letter of completion in place of degree certificate) and also placement and part time jobs as work experience and within 6 days, I got a positive assessment.

I have written IELTS and L/R/W/S = 9/9/8.5/9

I'm 23 years old now and wouldn't be 25 till November 2018.

So as it stands now I have 60 points

IELTS - 20
AGE - 25
BSc - 15

For this year while going through this thread, I found out that for ACS, 65 points required to get ITA.

Now I did some research about how to get additional 5 points and found out that I can get state nomination.

Searched for states nominating and found out that some have at least 2 years minimum work experience which I don't have and can't produce because of my letter of assessment from ACS, they sum my work experience to 1 yr 2 months and said only post BSc amounts to work experience that can be claimed.

HOUSE please what do you guys suggest I should do in this case.

PS: Sorry for the long story and explanation.
Thanks
Hi congratulations on your progress so far. Please can you give me tips on how you achieved your ielts result. Your result has motivated me. I need to hit 20 points in English.

Apologies everyone.... I have not been available...

A lot of demanding issues...

I was preparing for the first semester examination starting on Tuesday and also had deadlines to meet with assignments and other assessments.

In the midst of it, I received bad news about my elder brother who is in the hospital diagnosed of acute kidney disease.

The left kidney is completely bad, the right is very weak. He is on a run of dialysis. At the end of the session, we will know if he needs a transplant or if the right one can be salvaged...

I cover your prayers for him.. Hopefully, it doesn't get to a transplant stage. The cost cannot be sustained alone..

@Sassysure,

I don't know who you are? You left no clue in your message.

@Zanyzara,

Thanks.....
