I am from Jamaica. I hope you can find the ingredients. Which country do you live in?

Here isa recipe for pelau chicken from theis website.

http://www.islandflave.com/recipes/trini-chicken-pelau.shtml

Ingredients
2-3 lbs chicken (breasts or thighs)
2 limes
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
3 cloves garlic -crushed
4 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoon oil
4 tablespoon brown sugar
2 cups hot water
2 cups coconut milk
1 can pigeon peas (or green peas)
2 cups carrots
4 tablespoon raisins
2 cups rice (NOT INSTANT!)
1 hot pepper (optional)

Directions

1. Rinse chicken and rub with lime.
2. In a large bowl: add salt, black pepper, garlic, half of the brown sugar, and half of the Worcestershire sauce to chicken, then set aside (the longer you let it sit, the better the flavor!).
3. Heat oil in large deep pot. When hot, sprinkle in remaining brown sugar. Once sugar begins to bubble, add chicken and coat well until chicken is nicely browned.
4. Add carrots, rice, hot pepper, water and coconut milk. Mix well. Cover tightly and cook on very low heat 30-45 mins until rice is almost fully cooked. Do not stir while cooking.
5. Add pigeon peas and raisins. Continue cooking on low heat 10-15 mins until rice is fully cooked. Add additional Worcestershire sauce to taste.

FamilyRe: Suppose Your Best Friend Is Pregnant For Your Husband? by jclord(f): 6:33pm On Feb 06, 2006
As a resident of the US I apologize for the destructive influence that Jerry Springer and his kind are perpetrating around the world. I hope you you guys aren't getting Howard Stern too. He is even worse than Jerry. I think I'll start a thread to get people's opinion about the possibility that the US is being attacked by Muslim terrorist because of our offensive entertainment.

To answer your original question: If your husband gets your friend pregnant? 1. She is an enemy not a friend. 2. Your husband does not deserve even a minute of your precious time. Leave them both to suffer with their dishonest ways. They will probably sleep with each other friends in the future.
FamilyRe: Housewife or Working Woman? by jclord(f): 1:09am On Feb 06, 2006
Staying home with you children is best. When they are old enough to go to school working from a home office or part-time is best.
When you don't have children it is easy to say you will hire a nanny but when you become a nurturing mom you want to protect your children from strangers who may not always have their best interest at heart. In the US alot of baby sitters have been caught on camera abusing the children in their care.

FamilyRe: If Your Newlywed Husband is Impotent by jclord(f): 12:55am On Feb 06, 2006
As a pharmaceutical rep I used to sell a drug for impotence. There are several pharmaceutical drugs on the international market. There are also herbal treatments available. There is no need to dispair in this situation. These treatments are selling like hotcakes in Europe, Canada and the US. This is a very common problem for men over 40 because of certain medical conditions. Drug companies say 50% of men over 40 in the US suffer to some degree from this problem.

Here is a nice recipe for West Indian curried goat.

Ingredients
2 pound goat meat
2 large onions
1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
2 Cloves garlic, chopped
2 Scallions, chopped
2 tablespoon Allspice
2 tsp ginger
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 bunch herbs
2 clove garlic chopped
2 tablespoon curry powder
2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
salt and pepper to taste

If you can, it is best to add spices to the meat the day before cover it and put in refrigerator and cook it next day. This allows the meat to marinate in the spices.

Directions

1. Heat the vegetable oil and add the garlic, scallions, pepper, curry, allspice, chicken broth, and ginger.
2. Cook for a 5 minutes then add the goat and remaining ingredients.
3. Simmer in water for 1 1/2 hr until meat is tender.

Eat and enjoy!!

Thanks Doctors for giving free advice to the forum. What do you think of the alkaline diet for improving ones health and wellness? I have been on it for about a month now and have found that my allergy symptoms have been tremendously decreased. I noticed an immediate improvement in my immune response to allergens.
Christianity EtcRe: Do Catholics Believe in Being Born Again? by jclord(f): 2:12am On Jan 27, 2006
Chrisd, I understand that you are sharing what you have been taught. However, when you read the Bible you will see for yourself that these scriptures referenced in this prayer that you love to post are taken out of context. When the angel said hail Mary full of grace he was not saying this was God's instruction how to pray. Jesus gave instructions on how to pray in Mathew 6 and Mathew 7. We are instructed by Jesus to use these scriptures as an example for structuring our prayers. He is not telling us we have to repeat them as our only prayer. This instruction did not include praying to Mary, a dead priest nor Mother Teresa.

I went to college with a Nigerian friend I know the press is biased against black people and their countries in general.

Blacks in America pay a very high price for all the bad press about us. All the Africans I have met while living
in NY are some of the hardest working people. Not only do they work hard they strongly value education.
I have been impressed by them!

Do you imbed top 10 search engine keyword searches to your site to increase traffic.
How about adding high traffic links?

I am a marketing professional but I am new to e-marketing.

As a marketing person I am always thinking, what can I sell?

Some forum in the US add EBay auction items that are related to their audience.
(See the Peakoil.com . This is a forum many people are addicted to who believe the world oil supply is running out soon.)

-books related to discusion topics
-your logo on teeshirts, cups, pens etc...
-movies related to topics discussed.

By adding these products as EBay auction items you don't have to worry about collecting payment
because of their Paypal system.

Email me if you want more info.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Moving Nairaland To The Next Level by jclord(f): 7:31pm On Jan 26, 2006
How about adding links to world news but mostly Nigerian and African news.
How about getting PR firms to pay you to link their press releases.
How about getting paid by African countries to promote them. ( Tourist Boards,
countries seeking investors)

Since in the West we only get news of disasters in Africa. We don't ever see
any good news about Africa. We only see stories of Aids, AIDS orphans, famine,
war and other catastrophes in regard to Africa. Nigeria also gets a lot of bad press.
All of these negative stories rob all Black people. People absorb these stories and believe
we are hopless Godforsakenlosers.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Hurricane Katrina by jclord(f): 1:32am On Jan 26, 2006
All these disasters is a reminder that we should care more for others and be less caught up in buying more and more stuff we can't afford.

Because Katrina like disasters can happen any where. We should be grateful to God for our family and friends he has given us.
Most of all we should thank God for his mercy, love, and grace that he has given us through Jesus.

I liked your story. Be encouraged by the fact that when you share your faith with people
with a different world view you may not have a meeting of the minds right away. But you
are doing what God tells us to do. Your work is a seed of faith that God will water and he is
the one who ultimately saves people. He knows how to do it.

Keep on doing what you are doing!!!

Passage Matthew 7:7-11:
Ask, Seek, Knock

7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Passage Matthew 6:5-16:
Prayer

5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.[a]' 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Fasting

16"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.

TravelRe: Lagos: The World's 5th Worst Place to Live In by jclord(f): 10:30pm On Jan 25, 2006
I don't know what Lagos is really like because I have never been there. As a black person living in America I know we as a group worldwide do not do enough public relations to promote ourselves. Even in America The black community is robbed by this kind of negative press on a daily basis.

As a people, Oprah is our best international sales person but she is not enough. We have so many black organizations and so called "black community leaders" but they have not figured out the power and value of public relations for our community.

Maybe some day that will change. I hope God will inspire some one to do that for us. Nigeria should consider aggressively promote its best qualities so that people will not have negative images dominating their mind when they think of Nigeria. That is what cities and countries do in the international press.

How about having a section on your website promoting Nigeria!?
Include pictures and success stories from people who have improved their live and made great contributions to you country.

I worked in publishing so I know from experience. This is a good market for a Nigerian Public Relation firm.

Thanks for all the positive comments about these disasters in USA.
Like all people and all countries, the USA is not perfect. But I am sure
everyone can think of a time when we have helped many countries.
Whether or not God is punishing us is not for any man to know, only God
knows this for sure. However, we all know that when people are hurt
and suffering we need to help in every way we possibly can. Prayer is
free and Nigerians have a great reputation for being powerful prayer
warriors and great Christians. Please keep praying for the USA and for
all these people who have lost everything.

Thank God for the great things he did for these people through the many
churches across the country. I am grateful that Christian churches provided
most of the help in the most crucial time.

But it would be nice to help others.

I would give money to spread the Gospel.
I would provide for orphans, widows, help single parents, dibbled individuals and disabled parents.
I would do what I could to help Israel, Africa and the African diaspora.
I would of course buy great things for myself but you only what is needed. In America we buy too many thing and store them in our basements and attics. Our culture is based on over consumption and waste.

Christianity EtcRe: Pentecostal/Catholic Marriages: Why the Disagreement? by jclord(f): 7:45pm On Jan 24, 2006
Chrisd, I dare you to put down your Catholic commentaries and read the Bible by itself. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you are reading and faithfully read the Bible daily and then you will begin to understand how to follow Christ.

Now you will be able to have a personal relationship with your Father in Heaven. Keep in mind that he loves you more than you can understand.
Christianity EtcRe: Pentecostal/Catholic Marriages: Why the Disagreement? by jclord(f): 6:11pm On Jan 24, 2006
I don't dislike Catholics. If I did I would not be sharing the truth with you.

I just dislike false teaching!

Especially considering the eternal consequences. We could discuss point by point all of the numerous false teachings of the Catholic Church, but that would be redundant since the Bible already does that over and over again. The Bible provides example after example from beginning to end. My husband did not understand the bible until he became a Christian.

Read also The Signature of God. Anger can be good. Sometimes it drives people to find the truth. Sometimes it motivates people to move away from tradition and find what God says not what their church says. Protestant churches are not all Christian. That is why Christians must read the Bible for themselves to check if the church they are going to and watching on TV are really Christian. A Christian church is one that teaches people to follow Jesus Christ according to the word of God.

I see that you and I agree. Sorry if my comment offended you Chris. Jesus said the Gospel is offensive to people who don't believe it. He told his parables knowing that only believers would understand it. Jesus Luvs you. I did not make up this opinon. I am only stating what the Bible says. Read it for yourself and argue with God about what it says. It is good to be polite and gentle with people. But when it comes to salvation we must tell the truth because life on earth is short but eternity is forever. Eternity is a concept we cannot comprehend in this life. Find and read the books The Divine Revelation of Heaven, and the Divine Revelation of Hell. Reading these books changed my perspective of my faith and life in general. Pray and ask God to reveal his truth to you.
