hello French speakers, i can write a little French (je peux ecrire un peu francais) but i want to be able to write without recourse to a dictionary or google translate.

I will therefore want to ask if it is okay to type the little i can in french, and where i dont know the word, i just write the closest i can. Worst case is i will write the English version for correction from you guys.

Please let me know if that i a good strategy to learn french from this forum. I will be making a lot of mistakes (tenses, structure, etc) and i hope you can correct me as i go along.

Ok. I researched this object. It is called a Walkera QR X350-9. It is a remote -controlled device used for aerial photography. (doesnt that sound like a drone ? grin

) The 'pilot' was most likely in the area. Now what the purpose of the photograph taken by the drone is, i cannot say. It could most certainly be used for espionage, depends on the intent of the owner/'pilot'.

it depends on you.i'm going to buy the lg optimus g pro in the next few weeks.my phone has to be as big as possible without being a tablet cos i intend to do alot of videoplayback.adreno 320gpu for best gaming graphics and fabulous screen are absolute musts too.i've not bought it yet cos its nt in nigeria yet.its not gonna be up to 80k when it lands too if u'd consider it.if ur budget is not up to that but u still want a phone close to the best available at the moment then the xperia sp might be ur best bet.u can read reviews online too.

KingMEXX: depends on yur criteria yu used cos N45k - N70k should see the likes of Xperia Sp, Galaxy S3, Note 2, HtC one S etc and not the Nexus 4 (the phone has serious battery issues)....Permit me to also include Lg Optimus G2 at the expense of Optimus G pro, G2 is a beast. Also include Note 3 in the 70K upwards list

How long would the course be and how muxh would it cost? ....such education is not cheap.Rent can vary greatly depending on State and where in that State. Doesn't sound nowhere near enough. Getting a job without papers....hard nut to crack. Getting an employer to sponsor you....scratch that one out. Even if you do get your Masters then I think you will be wayyy better off returning home.....that degree would carry weight ...heavy salary and less competition. In the end $50K a year would make you take a few steps backwards in the US than your present status in Nigeria. Do not resign.

Well, i am sure that if he had his way he would stay in Naija; but he is in the volatile banking industry where nothing is g'teed. You can be out of a job when you least expect it. He has done his research and found out that that field is needed in the US. In addition, there is currently a post-study work option where International students can work for a year after graduation. The assumption is that, with his IT certifications (he has 3 good ones), PLUS a Masters degree, he should be able to get some employer who needs his services within the one year period. He also HOPES to get a work permit via his employer when the one year post study work lapses.

The other option would be to stay in Nigeria, hope that they dont fire him from his job (The risk of this happening gets higher as you climb the hierachy in the Banking Industry). Worst case, if it doesnt work out, he will be coming home 'armed' a Masters plus at least one year experience in the US. He figures this puts him a better position and gives him more bargaining power. NOTE: There are at least 10 vacancies for Cmputer security per week from only ONE jobsite. I'm encouraging the young man to go. Good Deal or No deal?

Ok. So, somebody in my office wants to resign from a N300,000 per month job, go and study Computer Security in the US (saved up the tuition and rent- about $30,000), get a job after his Masters using his post-study work visa, HOPE that his employer will file for his work permit, and earn an estimated $50,000 a year (estimate based on current vacancies in that field).

For the Nigerians in the US, does the above plan sound realistic? Is there a remote chance that this might be a good plan? What are the odds?

Anything is possible on a database bro, even to update (increase) balances in an account. You just need the right privileges. There is something called escalation of privilege which a saavy IT staff can use to gain DBA rights. These days that yahoo boys are being employed as IT support staff in Banks or for some 3rd party vendor who supports critical applications in the bank. The possibilities are endless!

hardywaltz: @ op I don't believe ur story.
I use FCMB for the past 4years, neva had a major issue with them. I also use their Mobile Banking platform let me give u reasons why I don't believe u:
1) The maximum u can transfer using the mobile platform is N100,000 a day for you to increase ot to N150,000 u have to personally request for it @ the bank CSU or throu their help number.
2) The maximum u can use on POS is N500k a day
3) The max u can withdraw using an ATM is N200k
Therefore suffice to say that the max anybody can withdraw on a non banking day is N800k throu multiple channels, so I still don't understand how N4m was withdrawn without u blocking the account. Moveova each transcation has its unique 16 digit nr.

@ op there's a detail u must have left out to make the bank take the fall. Unless its internet banking u are talking about

The only way this can be done is via insider involvement. A fraudulent bank (IT) staff can remove the limits on your account back-end and wire your money out of the bank. I am aware that banks are deploying anti-fraud tools such as Intellinx or ScoreBrigde that help detect suspicious transactions. I do not know if FCMB has one. The fact that you said the mobile money was activated on your account without your knowledge suggests that the above is what happened. You have a very good case if you report the matter to CBN.
