this is what you don't get. The context here is different. I own my phone, you would not beat me because I chose not to turn off my phone. Unless you tell where it is in the constitution of the school that a lecturer can slap a student because they didn't turn off their phones. There are no grounds for that lecturer to have hit the student.

For better context, you are on a plane and they tell you to put your phone on airplane mode or switch it off and you do not do it. They'd calmly tell you to put the phone off or on airplane mode and if you don't, they will escort you off the plane. That's in a sane society.

Secondly he's a married man and I don't think it's a good idea to gift someones husband such a suggestive gift.

Now the harassment became too much on Monday and I said ok, I'm going to get him one.
