HealthRe: 16 Female Patients Accuse Nigerian Doctor Of Sexual Assault by jemype(m): 7:20am On Feb 17, 2015
This is d first time. Im hearing this. I never witnessed this in my life.
cococandy:
Besides I thought it was standard worldwide practice to have a female doctor's assistant in the exam room during any medical examination where the patient is a woman and vice versa for a man.

I've never had any exam with a make doc where the female assistant wasn't there holding my hands and asking me if I felt comfortable with what the doctor was doing.

Wise docs insist on this too to avoid being smeared maliciously by a mischievous patient that's out to make money from suing him/her.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Interview Question That Threw Me Off-balance by jemype(m): 12:57am On Feb 17, 2015
That is exactly what employers want to hear becausethe man who is able to think differently than the lot and give all his best is the man or woman they are searching for not a use and dump.
CHM11:
You have to be both effective and efficient to get the job(s) done. In terms- Effectiveness is the ability to get the job done in the right way while efficiency is about being a reliable asset.
The job in hand (task) will require effectiveness to achieve the set goal, but in a rapidly changing business environment where market value, labour and capital demands are very dynamic, Efficient staffs will be assets in EFFECTING continuity and sustainable development of the firm.

If I was to answer that question I would say "I would be both effective and efficient in your company because I believe these competencies go together to assure excellence in the job. Effective staffs will help achieve short term goals, but efficient staffs will ensure long term goals are not compromised due to changes in the business.
Being both effective and efficient would help me work, learn and grow professionally by being an excellently reliable staff"

Depends on the interviewers body language, you should know when to stop talking and let him assimilate and understand what you've said.

This question test three or four things:
1. Listening skill: Does he understand and think before he responds?
2. Excellence: How will he stay excellent in the job?
3. Ambition: Is he after the short term or long term or both?
4. Orientation: does he know the difference between effectiveness and efficiency?

My view tho..other peeps might have superior arguments....

Bro lets put it this way. A song is worldly pending of where it leads u to. What i mean is this- when u hear a song it leads u either unconciously or subconciously to the source of inspiration that is where the idea to sing it was concieved from or what u think your own understandiing or interpretation of an experience that relates wit it is. That is why when u hear jaiye jaiye u think of dat lavish lifestyle Dat makes u feel lyk spending all the money or being d light of d party. And in relation to d real world the truth is a songs lyrics leads u astray or to the fore. So i think u have to let ur heart decide which ones help u bcuz no matter how u listen to some songs u cant gain anything from dem.dat is why if u listen to gospel songs for a while back to back u find that ur access to God is easier than when u listen to some other songs so i feel its about letting ur heart decide because u discover that there are some gospel songs that even derail u from accessing the heavens.
EOOJ:
I have been thinking about this for quite some time now and
felt I should hear your opinions and ideas about this
sensitive issue.

Worldly songs? When is a song called Worldly? Or are all
Worldly songs bad? I really need answers to this cause I
want to learn.

Truly, when I hear some songs and their lyrical content, wow
is my next expression because they can be bad to the core
But then again, if someone sings for peace,or about the lost
of a lost one to console mourners, nursery rhymes, national
anthem, school anthems and many others good songs I
know, I tend to wonder where to classify such or are we
going to say that they are equally bad because they are
worldly?

Please o I really need your opinions.

Believe me bro lagos is a big complicated state. Its not as easy as u think. I doubt if ambode will b able to even perform up to fashola cuz he may not be able to give in the stress and sacrifice fashola put in. U know what it is lyk practically monitoring almost every project to make sure that the funds are not emblezzled. From infrastructure to even traffic. And the guys still cakes out time to travel out to research how it is done in oda countries. Dont think any governor can devote that much sacrifice to work in lagos.
latola05:
The chairman of Okada Association should appreciate the fact that less accidents are being recorded in states where Okadas are banned from operating, especially on major highways. Most of the Okada riders do not know what is called highway codes and thereby resulting to fatal crashes simply because of miscommunication between the car drivers and Okada riders.

On the other hand, Governor Fashola should have adopted what is called "parallel change over system" when he was promoting the bill that banned Okadas from operating on the highways, sometimes I wonder why he was very successful at implementing the law that bans Okadas and yet still struggling to curtail the excesses of OMONILES (Landowners) in Lagos state. The Omoniles are complete menace to the society, they reap where they have not sown. Yet, the Governor is aware of this and he seems to be nonchallant about it. Also, the Agberos are another nuisance that he has failed to control in the state and he behaves like he is not aware of the issues.

The fact is that Nigerians are getting wiser and the status quo is changing day by day. Some of the polices do not have human face, thereby rubbishing the good works that have been done. This should serve as a lesson to other incoming governors to critically study a policy by understanding its consequences before implementation. May God heal Nigeria!

PoliticsRe: Serikae Dickson Booed At Jonathan's Campaign Rally In Bayelsa by jemype(m): 10:45am On Feb 10, 2015
Bros the only thing i heard in the video i watched was boo booo and boooooo
helinues:
There had been much anticipation in the days leading to the Presidential campaign rally of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State given the alleged chasm between Governor Serikae Dickson and the wife of the president, Dame Patience Jonathan.
The First Lady had been alleged to be behind those scheming to be working to stop Governor Dickson from aspiring towards a second term in office.

For her alleged inclination, some stakeholders in the state had warned the first lady not to come along with the president for the rally. Her supporters on the other hand were alleged to have also conceived a plot to humiliate the governor by booing him at the campaign ground.
As if envisaging trouble, the organisers had banned the use of sachet water which they feared could be used by any of the warring sides to pelt their antagonists on the podium.

Even more, a day to the rally of last Friday that the police came out in full force in a show of force to intimidate the troublemakers.
As early as 8.00 a.m. thousands of residents of Yenagoa had trooped out of their homes early as 8am to line up the major roads to give the august visitors a rousing welcome. To bolster the crowd, the state government had closed all schools in the capital city for that day.

The massive crowd at the stadium, including large number of pro-Jonathan groups led by the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) and Women groups, defied the sweltering sun singing dancing as the event was turned into a huge carnival..
The situation was not different outside the campaign ground as the army of supporters who could not access the sport facility waited patiently for over six hours for the arrival of the president, his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan herself a great mobilise, and their entourage.
Some women and men who could not stand the scorching sun collapsed. Many were dehydrated as they were barred from entering the campaign ground with sachet or bottled water following alleged security reports of plan to use such objects as missiles.
It was as if God saw the plight of the crowd, the heaven opened up and poured its showers of rain to cool the heat just as the President was about to give his speech at the event.

The fear of many security officials and non-partisan political observers was quickly brought to fore when Governor Dickson rose to welcome the president and his delegation. Just as he commenced a section of the crowd as had been feared booed him but this was countered by the singing and drumming of his supporters.

But the governor, a former policeman was hardly perturbed as he proceeded as if unbothered by the revolt of his political antagonists who had reportedly combined with those who have faulted his slow execution of stomach infrastructure.
The president, however, later came to his aid to rebut the insinuations in some quarters that the First Family was agreed on the campaign to hound the governor out of office.
Clad in Ijaw traditional attire and amidst thunderous applause from supporters, the president expressed happiness to be back and appreciated the support he has received from the people of the state during his political journey which has seen him move from deputy governor to president.

He was quick to address the issue of the alleged contention between his wife and Dickson as according to him, the relationship between him and the governor remained good and that anyone that quarrelled with the latter should consider it a fight against him.
President Jonathan, who described his coming to the state as a thank you visit and not a campaign, urged Bayelsans not to be deceived by the antics of his (Dickson) detractors but to work with the governor to develop the state.
“Let me use this opportunity to make it clear that for me to work hard and help my people I am working closely with the governor of the state and you must make sure that you support us.
“Those who don’t like the governor don’t like me. I am hearing stories of people who are coming to spoil your minds. If you don’t like the leadership we put in place, you don’t like me. Don’t allow people to spoil your minds you young people.
Jonathan’s comment was a soothing balm to Governor Dickson’s camp as it was seen as an open endorsement of the governor’s second term bid given the insinuations that he has lost the support of the President in the wake of the alleged frosty relationship with the First Family.
According to the President, “I have noticed that you are being instigated by those who don’t like us and I am telling you that you must work with the governor of this state for you to benefit from us. We are together, we are working together to bring the dividends of democracy to this state and don’t allow anybody to deceive you. I am telling you as a father, uncle and elder brother that we must work with the governor to develop the state”.
He thanked Bayelsans for their support assuring that his administration would ensure that everybody enjoy the fruits of democracy.

Dame Patience in her own speech did not give the governor such dignity. She neither recognised him nor paid protocols to him as in her speech, she focussed on the re-election of her husband.

Rather, she called on the women of the state to intensify prayer for the re-election of her husband based on performance and the fulfilment of the 35 per cent affirmative action for women in the country.

Dame Jonathan also called on the Nigerian women to support President Jonathan in order to be ahead in modern technology including the use of computer for study as against what she referred to as “Analog” way of life.
Other speakers at the rally included the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Organisation, Dr. Ahmadu Ali, the Chairman of the South-South Governors and the Cross Rivers State Governor, Senator Imoke and the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu.
It was indeed a rally to remember and a victory for the Dickson’s camp following his open endorsement by the President.

The main reason why I will vote for GEJ is to make a statement. 2015 is about making a point in this country and we must drive that point home even if the gates of hell are opened. The message we must drive into some thick skulls is that Nigeria belongs to all of us. No tribe is born-to-rule while others are born to siddon dey look.

There must be fairness, equity and justice in this country. Power MUST go round if we are truly one Nigeria. Why must a particular group of people continue to terrorize the rest of the nation when they are not in power?

When OBJ, a southerner was in power, they declared Sharia law and caused a series of very violent riots in the north which led to the death of many Southerners and northern Christians.

As soon as Jonathan, another Southerner took over government, boko haram which was previously a rag tag group suddenly transforms into a mighty fighting force, blasting churches to pieces, killing innocent Nigerians and recently seizing towns and abducting our women.

The question is why is it that we cannot have peace when the people from Futa Jalon are not in power?

Buhari will NEVER rule Nigeria again. let me say this loud and clear, the best for Buhari is that he will end up as president of arewastan and maybe Odua republic but Buhari will NEVER rule Nigeria again.

See the people down there that believe Aso Rock is their property, they believe they were born to rule in Nigeria. Whenever they are not in power, they make sure nobody can sleep. See them there. embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

I hv finally found a reason to vote for buhari.
mantodun:
Buhari is certainly not a saint. personally, i never would have thought that one day I will be voting for a man with so much accusations of human rights atrocities hanging around his neck.

Just like you, I came up with about a dozen reasons why Nigeria shld run from Buhari like a plague. But then I took some time to read and research about Buhari for the sole aim of answering these questions:

1 - what was/were his motivation(s) for doing the things he did back then?
u will agree with me that a man is motivated by the thing or things most dear to him. Therefore, if we can very objectively answer this question, I think we will have a better understanding of who the man Buhari is, what he stands for and what is dear to him.

Here is my take:

Back in the days, the man was motivated by a vision of a disciplined Nigeria, one whr govt/workers is/are efficient n productive without relying on bribes/corrupt practices. A nigeria that could proudly stand to be counted in the committee of nations. From all indications, Buhari still has this vision and he has once again set out to see it come to light.

During his days as CIC, his overzealousness (or whatever we choose to call it) and his unrepentant desire to see his vision come true resulted in the very myopic approach to problem solving which was undeniably callous, barbaric and sometimes bordered on insanity. His administration will forever be notoriously known for those inexcusable misdeeds. those memories have created an aura of suspicion n rightly placed fear about his candidacy. of note, Buhari knew who to put where to get things dobe.
Truth is, most of us old enough to remember his deeds still harbor a lot of discomfort about the prospects of putting power back in the hands of a man known for so much brutality. This brings me to the next question.

2 - Can Buhari be trusted with power? Afterall, OBJ showed us just how power can be abused even in a democracy. I think the most objective answer will come from his days at PTF. I suspect that Buhari agreed to serve as head of PTF for 2 reasons, 1st, again to do whatever he can to revive Nigeria n 2nd, in so doing to show pple that he Gen Buhari the so called blood thirsty ogre can actually work amicably with and for other humans to achieve results when nothing else in the country was wrking. PTF's acheivements is another days debate but we can all agree that to a large extent, he someone made it work. And in fairness to him, the man did not use the opportunity to enrich himself.

My synopsis abt Buhari's candidacy is this:
Gen Buhari does not define the best of Nigeria in any way, but he is a man driven by a vision that is shared by every ordinary Nigerian. His popularity hinges on this vision.
Subconsciously, those that admire him do so because of the (very barbaric) extent he was willing to go to defend his vision of building a better Nigeria.
Given the alternative, Nigerians seem to be at a point whr it's no longer business as usual. We are simply tired of having visionless rulers who care more abt their fat accounts than abt the common man. we r tired of being the laughing stock on the world stage..

This is why myself and millions other Nigerians are saying Sai Buhari

It was first contained in Lagos state which was APC and dis was a state dat didnt have any FG allocation for a good number of yrs.and sureP- last time i saw sureps money was used to paint 3rd mainland bridge green white green. Is dat nigerias biggest problem. U said life expectancy rate is 54, u know how many people have been killed by boko haram? And where did u get dat figure. Is it youwin you want to talk about? Do those youwin people look lyk people who need it or people who got it based on connection. What are they winning? And as for the O levels do u know how many fg sec school teachers are on strike as we speak. I weep for d fg sec schoools we went to as my younger sister was telling me recently dat the students wanted to hold a peaceful rally as they had hardly done any claSses and were not set for waec because d teachers dont come and teach as their salarys hadnt being paid. And some elections were so free and fair that army had to guard the ballot papers from standing up and running away baa.On the banking reforms yes he broke many cabals and forces but that was when he just discovered how to use his powers and we recorded some giant strides to be very honest . U say buhari's an islamist d same way okorocha and amaechi are islamists baaa? See nigerians r not fools. If all d pple following buhari are islamists lyk amaechi and we can see developments rather than hear statistic den we want islamists and not stories and statistics because i have discovered under jonathans administration that 100 percent of statistics are worthless. I think i have tried my best to be objective and fair enough not to speak from a buhari perspective.

Jonathan is a superior presidential material to Buhari

on February 03, 2015 by Femi Aribisala

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/jonathan-superior-presidential-material-buhari/

The article is a bit lengthy, but take time to read.....
Agriculture has been transformed under this administration. Thanks to Jonathan, agriculture now accounts for 22% of Nigeria’s GDP, more than oil and gas which only account for 15.9%. Under Jonathan, Nigeria has recorded a more than 50% reduction in food imports. Prior to his presidency, we had a food import bill of 1.4 trillion naira. But now, it is less than N700 billion. With the innovation of dry season rice-farming, Nigeria has reached 60% self-sufficiency in rice production. According to the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), Nigeria is now the largest producer of cassava in the world. The Jonathan government built six strategically-located perishable cargo airports in Ilorin, Jalingo, Jos, Lagos, Makurdi andYola; in close proximity to Nigeria’s food baskets.
It is remarkable that Northern farmers were able to donate five million tubers of yam in order to raise 5 billion naira for Buhari’s presidential election campaign. If Jonathan’s transformation agenda in agriculture was not working as planned, they would not have been able to do this.
