Good morning everyone. This thread has really been enlightening. I came in here with zero knowledge but now I know some things at least. Been asking random questions and checking the CRS with a proposed score in my head grin but I want to come out straight because I need advice, suggestions and encouragements.

I am a lady
I clocked 30 Jan 2019 and my husband will clock 30 by Nov 3rd 2019; so he is still 29. I have been the only one looking for materials. He wants to relocate but has paid zero attention to writing ielts. it doesn't look like he wants to write it. I swear I have talked about it tire but he has turned deaf ears to this.

We both have BSc and as our highest qualification. I have six years work experience but he has been an entrepreneur that has not hammered so we can't use his account because he is constantly broke. I can afford the account balance/statement for the both of us

Now from the tests I have been trying ehn...the thing hard o and I don't really have time like that because of work. I have not even gotten up to 7 in the few tests I took.

We have no family in Canada or job or anything that will give us Canada score grin

I would have loved him to be the PA but his account statement nko, no interest in Ielts exam, no work experience, his business is registered but no tax has been paid yet because its high. It's better you are the PA, because from what you've stated about him, the zeal won't be there when there are obstacles

We want to relocate o but he is the kind that has interest in something but does nothing to achieve it and will be excited if we get the PR. Na wa

Please is there any training center in Lagos where I can go for one on one training? I need to get like 9 seriously. I have some e-materials but I think I can learn better one on one or if I offline tests before the exam.

I studies Health Education and he studied Chemical Engineering.

What suggestions do you guys have for me, i really wish to start a life there.

Can i apply alone first and add him later? because the ranking so far no even reach 390 not to talk of 400. He won't let me go alone if I get PR. What else can I do to increase our CRS within a short time? Get another degree, preferably a master's

Then for the WES, people who used NECO, how did you go about it? I have not collected my original result. Or is there another body I can use instead of WES?

My ielts exam is on July 20th.

I have a lot in my mind to ask but this is long already.

Thanks as you guide and encourage a sister. God bless
Maybe try PNP, except you want to go for a master's degree. Because even if your spouse takes IELTS and evaluates his Bsc, your score will still be around 426. Even if he is the PA, maybe around 431. Draw scores these days are in the 460s. See the link below for the PNP programs, that could give you extra 600points and earn you an ITA

Good morning all,
Please I just want to start this journey o, please I will need your help here gan ni o.

First of all, who can be a primary applicant btw my husband and I? I'm a lawyer and my husband is van sales rep, he has HND. As a van sales rep.what is his NOC? And what's is my own NOC? Who has a better change btw us? But the salaries are small but we can raise fund from family.
Thank you.
Your LLB will get you guys same points as a master's degree. Use this link below to simulate your points with you being the primary applicant. Use this as IELTS scores Listening 8, Speaking (7), Writing (7), and reading(7). You'll also need to read up on page 1 of this thread, very important information there for you.

Good morning all,

Please which evaluation body is more advisable for LLb, BL ( law degree). Thank you.
IQAS will evaluate just your LLB as a professional degree, which will earn you the same points as a master's degree.

Modified: Ajibimi, IQAS takes longer to get the evaluation done but this is the only body I know of that will give you the professional degree evaluation equivalent for your LLB

Hello everyone, pls im in need of HELP. I am unable to successfully sign into my EE profile and i dont know why. After i enter my username and password, it dosent bring up those security questions rather ill see a continue button. Once i click on the continue button, it takes me back to the home page or something like that. Sort of asking me to re sign in. I have tried severally and even changed my security questions all to no avail. My profile was created in October last year so it shouldn't expire now.

Pls does anyone know what could be the problem?

Yayyyyy welcome home!!
I totally agree on the hand luggage thing. Part of the repacking involved buying the smallest GMG and putting my overnight bag in it along with some shoes so I had two hand luggages and a handbag (this was done on the advice of the ET staff).
In ADD, the handle of the gmg ripped off. I reattached the overnight bag to the carry-on luggage and then bought a backpack in the airport for 96USD cry cry
I've kuku dashed the bag out because every time I see it, I get chest pain grin
Kai, pele. Unplanned and unavoidable expenses at the airport are very annoying. I see your mini vacation moves mehn, Godspeed in Canada.

Waec/neco is compulsory if you are using WES for ECA.Budget about 30k for waec
I think it's better you complete your masters and evaluate it for more CRS points..
You don't need WAEC for foreign degrees with WES

Good morning all.
I just joined nairaland as regards the immigration processes to Canada. I'm currently a student at the Nigerian Law School. I want to start my processing immediately after Bar exams in August.
Please, I really need any help y'all could render as regards the step by step process to Canada through express entry.
You can also refer me to whatsaap groups and individuals that are lawyers/law students that were successful.
Thanks.
Wish you the best in the bar finals. You can evaluate your LLB with IQAS, it's evaluated as a professional degree, and will give you the same points as a master's degree. You'll still need at least one year work experience which can be gotten from NYSC. After the bar exams, you can start by processing your LLB, at least from a Nigerian school it may take some time to finish, also practice IELTS as much as you can before taking the test. You can PM me if you need info.

more emphasis on this, we are trying to get a new place as the building of my old place collapsed. by the time i submit my application we wont have secured the new place. all my documents already carry address of old place with collapsed building. do i carry on with this address? if not what address do i use? if i use a new address, do i need to change the address on all my supporting documents?
Birth certificate is only necessary when trying to prove a sibling/family relationship. If not, you do not have any need for it at the moment. You can maintain the old address, however once you are able to secure a new place, you may raise a CSE to inform CIC. As for the NYSC experience, you can state it as it is. I'm sure CIC has taken judicial notice of the NYSC program by now as many people have used it.

Gift deed doesn't need birth certificate. Please check page one. You have to get it notarized. Gift deed can come from anyone just fyi.
It is not compulsory to have the deed notarised. The most important thing on the deed is the signature of the donor. However, if it helps them sleep better at night, then by all means.

I am new here, I did my application myself by just reading through www.cic.gc.ca, I never knew of this forum. I received my AOR on April 26, 2019 and MEP/BIL Updated June 11, 2019. I want to know my Visa Office please how do i go about that. Secondly, I read that there are whatsapp group for various AOR, how do i get into one? Thank you
You can raise a CSE using the webform or place a call to CIC. They may or may not respond favourably to your CSE since your application is still within average processing time. But there's no harm in trying. See below

Webform - https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

Phone number - +1 613 944 4000 (I usually get through to an agent after 9:30pm Nigerian time)

But if i may ask, is it wrong to work in a family business and obtain reference letter for it?
It's not, as long as you actually worked there. You're better off defending the truth than a lie. We've seen a number of files transferred to Accra for interviews because the VO was suspicious about the work experience from family business. It's not uncommon for people to claim they've worked in certain capacities for family when they really didn't especially as it is very easy to get reference letters from family.

As a self employed person you'd need to show your CAC documents for ltd company or business name certificate, reference letters from clients, basically docs showing that the business exists etc there are some examples of people who applied as self employed on one part of this thread. If you go through page one you may find them. If not on this part then follow the links to previous parts.

Topsmamen,I remember you had some links to people who had applied as self employed, I dunno if they're are on page one of this thread or on previous threads. Please can you attach the links for her? Thanks
