Yes you can claim 3 different jobs NYSC inclusive as long as they are under the right NOCs. try to get reference letters for them. If it is impossible then you can attach other evidence to show you worked in the place you claim

Not sure if I can learn French in a short period to make good scores for the test. Am also planning against birthdate catching me and removing 5points that I don't have to spare.

See this link for PNP processes. Also read up on the CIC website. A number of people have gotten Alberta nominations in the past few weeks. So you can check them out

The decision to migrate was made in early 2017.

Evaluated my master degree with IQAS and hubby's ND/HND with WES.

We wrote IELTS 9 times (mine 8 and hubby 1)

I passed IELTS at the 5th attempt with LRSW - 9777

Unfortunately, this placed us at 439 and went for two more with 0.5 deficiencies in writing.

I then took the last test on 1st December 2018 and had LRSW - 8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5.
This breakthrough in writing came when Dr Benson offered to teach and review my write-ups. Our CRS score then moved to 445

I never got tired of writing the exam as it was the only mountain before me that needs to be leveled for us to have ITA.

My utmost thanks goes to the God Almighty !!!

I also thank my friends Oby, @Zinggi and @Wasseynet for always being there to listen to my silly talks and unnecessary worry at odd hours of the day (you all will rest now).

Thank you so much Doc Benson for bringing the breakthrough in my writing.

To as many as are looking unto God for PPR, the Lord will grant it.

Do you think a CRS of 412 or 417 at the minimum holds some hope? I want to see if there are chances before I take the plunge and start the process. I wouldn't want to waste funds and energy if these scores stands no chance at all. I got the scores using the CRS tool & recommended IETLS scores of L-8, W -7, R- 7, S -7.

Am a newbie and have tried to read all the previous threads. Please share your thoughts as it is. I won't get butt hurt if its negative.

You can get another degree/certificate, write the French exams to increase your score or you can try the PNP route. Don't start with a defeatist mindset, because the obstacles wey dey road plenty.

Hey Guys, help me look into this...

I worked as Customer Service Rep. from 2011 to 2012 and as Inventory Manager from 2012 to 2019.

I intend to use the Inventory Manager experience for the Express Entry profile so as to max out my FSW points. And besides Customer Service is NOC C, which means I can't use it.

The issue now is, in 2016 I applied and was refused a Canadian study permit, in my application I used Customers Service as working Experience from 2011 to 2016.

Do you think this will raise any issue for my EE?

You can use the inventory manager experience as work experience and put the customer service experience under personal history. Not a problem

They usually charge 10k, if you go to Louis Edet house those guys at the gate will direct you. However, if you're familiar with Garki, FCID is where I did mine. The guy will request for a copy of your international passport and passport photo I think. I can't find his direct contact but ( zero eight one six eight eight three four zero five five) try this number if you want to go there. His name is Chidi and he works with the guy. Do not pay more than 10k

You may have to go to state CID I think in Moscow road if I remember correctly. But they'll still send it to Lagos. Maybe look for Inspector Moshood's number here. I've seen a couple of people do it from outside of Lagos with him

Big congrats to the PPR clinchers. I am new here and I need some advice on the best ECA to use for my BSC. I had used WES, the ECA report recognized my degree but states that it is from an unrecognized institution. I obtained this degree from a university in Benin Republic. Anyone have any advice on which I should go with? Someone suggested ICES. Who has used ICES? Do anyone know if they rejects schools too? Also, I am worried about using IQAS, though they don't reject schools as WES, their processing time is long. My IELTS expires this August and I really hope i can sort this out soonest

Why not state the name of the school to see if you can find someone with a more specific response. Is the school accredited by the tertiary academic body in Benin Republic? If it is, is there evidence of the recognition? I am asking in case you face the same response from other ECA bodies. Maybe broaden your search to other forums as well, see if someone with a similar issue has applied or gotten PPR with this kind of ECA report. August is cutting it really close with your IELTS

Says if it's from a 'non recognised' institution you can't use it to claim points for express entry. However there are some suggestions to try other bodies like IQAS to see if you'll get a different evaluation

Hi. Yes, 0601 and 0621 fit. But 0621 seems to fit more into your JD. I have looked at your JD and highlighted above (in red) the NOC 0621 duties that seem to correlate.

1. Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of establishments engaged in wholesale and retail sales or of departments in such establishments
2. Manage staff and assign duties
3. Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
4. Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
5. Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale
6. Develop and implement marketing strategies
7. Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues
8. Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues
9. Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development and retention of staff

I got to a particular page today and I saw the post of someone rejected because of wrong NOC.I hope the person finds help soon.

So I decided to reach out for help in order to make the right decision.


Although am in the pool currently but I still need to improve my score.


I am claiming two NOCs.I don't have problem with the first one NOC 6235 as it was stated that bank marketers can use that.My problem is the second NOC.


I currently work with a company that involves in the redistribution of Alcoholic drinks in Nigeria and I am currently the Territory Sales Manager for a particular State.


Kindly assist me in matching my duties with the appropriate NOC. 


Below are my job descriptions:


Duties/Responsibilities:

 
·         Oversees and takes charge of the Sales and Operational activities of the territory; by ensuring effective redistribution of all brands of alcoholic drinks, ensuring prompt payment by retail creditors and takes appropriate actions to meet targets.

·         Accomplish territory sales target by recruiting Local Sales Agents to drive sales growth and carry out regular sales performance reviews of the recruits.

·         Communicates company policies on job expectation and other processes for effective redistribution through regular training of the Local Sales Agents.

·         Maintaining and continuously increasing retailers base and having good rapport with all retailers.

.     Exercising discretion at all times and maintaining high customer service always.

·         Reviewing retailers accounts to ascertain their credit status before any supply.

·         Resolving retailers complains in terms of damaged goods.

·         Ensures State regulations as regards alcoholic sales, placement, and displays are adhere to strictly.

·         Identify fast selling alcoholic brands in the territory and liaise with the General Manager for supply and ways to foster sales growth in the territory.

.     All other duties as assigned by the managing director.


I initially chose NOC 0601- Corporate Sales Manager but had to edit to 0621- Retail and wholesale  trade Manager.


I dont know if NOC 0621 actually suits my JD.

Hello people,

During my NYSC, just 9 months salary of the 12 months were paid into my account. Can I upload the statement showing the 9 months alone? Do I have to write an LOE for this as well?

In addition, can I upload bank statement from two different branches of the same bank? In January, i printed my currrent job salary bank statement showing till December 2018 from one branch. Last week, i printed my POF which is in the same account from February till date from another branch. Can I upload both as proof of payments along with my work reference letter? January 2019 salary deposit won't be captured in any of the statements though.

You don't have to print the full NYSC account statement, you can print what you have. No need for LOE

Branch you print from is not an issue, as long as it's legit from the bank, they'll confirm if they need to. You can highlight payments for the months you have and upload along with work reference letter. If they need more docs they'll send an ADR

Just to encourage everyone on this journey including myself, whatever stage you're at, no matter the obstacle, God will come through for everyone in ways that no one will be left in doubt say "Na God do this one".

I have read some PPR testimonies where they got "Job mail after IP1.

Not everyone gets the job mail. I don't think it is of much significance these days. The processing structure is not certain either, they can start from top to bottom, bottom to top if they like. some people have criminality and security passed, eligibility still in progress etc.

What do you mean by 'Post-AOR'? A job mail is usually titled 'How to find a job in Canada' and the content is as described in the heading.

Oh you have written twice , I said myself and my wife wrote 9 times so who be the customer here. I once had an accident on my way for the speaking test and they allowed me even when I was late just because they recognized my face so well. Bro I also wrote on my birthday too, they sang for me. But all ended in praise.

I hope it's okay to laugh now since you have passed the exams gan. Do you mean 9times each or 9times between the two of you

I agree with this. The PNP process is long. By the time you get your 473, Alberta may not have even looked at your file yet. This page on their site was last updated on March 11 https://www.alberta.ca/ainp-processing-inventory.aspx. No processing times are given for the EE stream, but for the Alberta Opportunity Stream they're still working on applications received in November. (Times may be different for EE stream, but it isn't indicated on the page). So please choose wisely.

I noticed that I just have to send my application via courier but I didn't think it's totally free to get the PNP. I was thinking I'll have to pay eventually after my application is processed and perhaps granted.

If you're sure that 473 is sure, maybe hold on and apply through FSW. I believe 473 is quite safe to get ITA in the summer, that's just a few months ahead. For one I think that the FSW process is shorter, there's also the issue of initial provincial restriction under the PNP route, I'm not sure whether you can have more than one application under express entry as well. Either way, weigh your options carefully

You can't apply with him, Na proper adult man at 25. However if he has another degree (I'm just assuming he has a bsc) maybe a professional certificate, ond/HND, pre degree etc you can check to see if it can be evaluated as two or more certificates. If he doesn't, let him start now to acquire one. He can then claim sibling points from you once you get your own PR and relocate. This will increase his CRS significantly
