teechedah: Good morning guys, Please I did my credential evaluation in 2014 using GCE (Global Credential Evaluation in Texas), is it possible I request that my transcript be forwarded from them to WES? Will WES recognise it? Just asking please should in case anyone knows someone who has gone through this process before. Thanks You should write to WES and ask them. Other organisations may not mind, in fact it should make their job easier as the first organisation may have done the initial verification so they won't need to very from the main institution anymore. But WES may have a different policy, so email/tweet at them or call them and confirm. |

Just for clarifications, can my wife who is a self employed biz person apply as PA? Please shed more light on this Yes, as long as her self 'employedness' falls under the NOC 0, A or B. You guys are good to go. Just check out the various provincial programs. Saskatchewan, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta etc look at the requirements, find out which one you're more suited for and tailor your application. I don't know much about the PNP programs but you can click on the link below to follow the thread on Nairaland read and ask more questions https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs |

Nikyb: Hello everyone. Please I need advice on how to proceed on this Canny journey. I have read all the threads but I want clarifications on some grey areas.
I want to apply as married. I am 41, have a masters degree and over 10yrs experience in banking. Based on my age and if I dust IELTS, 400ish is sketchy.
Wifey is 36, has two certificates but has been self employed in her own CAC registered biz for 7 years though she is named on the website of the company as the GM, she is still the main shareholder. If she gets a good IELTS score can she be the PA? We plan to both write the test anyway and get both our certificates evaluated to boost the score. Please advise if business owners are qualified to apply through EE.
Please our experienced people in the house, what is the best way to go? PNP? Who is most qualified to be the PA?
Kindly help
. I think PNP may be the best route. I used your wife as PA on the CRS tool and even if both you evaluate your degrees and get 8777 or even maximum scores on IELTS you're still getting around 430/442 which isn't enough these days for an invitation to apply. |

jollyjols: does CIC trigger security even if eligibility has not been met? I heard if your eligibility needs review then they wont start secuirty. I called CIC and i was told my eligibility had started but had not been concluded and that security has also started. they said they were waiting for response from their securiity partners. Does this mean eligibility is fine or there can still be a review? The wait is something else. I am tensed ooo even though i am patient. WILI WILI has not visited me since march 15 after BIL. criminality is passed as well. God ooooo, over to you CIC can trigger anything they like, the process is not set in stone anymore |

pejuhazel: Thank you my sister. I mailed Ralph today and got a response that "eligibility requires review, criminality and security checks have not been initiated". The eligibility part is what is getting me worried and AVO do not respond to emails, so I guess my best bet is GCMS. Thanks foe checking in though, I pray we all have good news to share very soon. Amen. My dear I've called all the callables, gotten same response since March, eligibility met, security and criminality not yet started. Mailed Ralph, the person who responded was talking about replying to constituents blah blah, mailed one other guy like that, no response. The agent on my last call said she was going to send a note to the officer processing my file or something, I think she did cos I got one generic 'your file is currently in line for review' but we can't be bothered right now mail. Nothing person fit do again. I can't come and go and kill myself. Bottom line is it'll come sha, will be praying for you |

Lastruct: Hello All,
Please who knows anything about "E-Coin Management Company in Ottawa, I got a mail from them saying they saw my resume on indeed and willing to offer me a Remote Customer Representative Role. We got talking since then and now I am to sign an agreement and with something called Regulation of Practice. One thing that shock me was the clauses as shown below:
1. Your operator selects a client for you for the date specified before. 2. You get information about the orders to your e-mail: amount, currency type, payment system, date of transfer of money for purchasing of the specified digital currency. 3. You get information about reception of funds on your account in the payment system specified before – for instance, Interac System, Wire Transfer, Third-Party Payment to another RBC Client. 4. You accept transferred funds for purchasing digital currencies to your account and get cash in the nearest bank office. 5. Final stage – purchase of the specified type of digital currency by means of the self-service terminal. At each stage, you will be provided by full information support from your operator. Completion of one order usually takes 1.5-2 hours. During Training, you may complete 2-4 orders per day. Commission per order is 150 CAD. You can get additional information and instructions from your operator. *** Following the requirements of the financial organization OPPA Credit Union, our company will provide you with a virtual account in OPPA Credit Union only after a personal meeting with our representative to conclude the Employment Agreement. While the training, you need to use your personal bank account to fulfill current orders placed by our customers. To start your training, please provide the following information: Name and address of your bank: Limit on cash withdrawal in ATM: Limit on cash withdrawal in the bank branch: Perhaps to clarify the information regarding your limits, you will have to give a call to your bank.
I checked them online and they have a presence there, but still am a bit uncomfortable with the issue of paying into my personal account first.
Does anyone knows about these guys please.
Thanks Oga/madam run oh, run as fast as you possibly can. Let them not pour sand sand in your garri just now. |

Delvisfrank: I have submitted a profile on 4th January and I got a message saying I am not eligible to apply for the express entry, I registered for IELTS exam and scored overall band 6 LWRS 5.0, 6.0, 5.5, 6.5. I couldn't register successfully in their job bank since I need a job offer to boost my application because I didn't do credentials assessment. So I have paid cad$285 to International Credentials Assessment Service of Canada for my credentials assessment but they have not gotten my credentials yet for the assessment.
Please epp a brother Apart from the fact that your IELTS results are too poor, you have not given us much information to help you brother. How old, how many years work experience, what industry, highest level of education etc Why did you use ICAS? They take up to 6months from the date they get your docs to give you your ECA You really need to visit page 1 of this thread |

Ladykeigh: Good evening house, please I need your input.
My husband is reluctant to get started. Can I be the principal applicant ? I have a B.Sc in Computer science but never worked as a Computer scientist.
Worked in Customer service and Banking (Loan recovery ) for 2 years and 2 and half years respectively.
I have worked as a cook in my food business for 6 years since I resigned at my bank job. Will I stand a chance ? My husband on the other hand is the Country Program Manager at a Solar energy company, he studied Statistics. We both have B Sc only.
I just want to get started, I'm tired of taking in all the information without getting anything done as I have relied on my husband to do stuff.
What's the first step to take, please ? I'd also appreciate any help.Thank you all. https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilledClick on the link above, that's the thread you should be on, you'll get all the information you need there. Also you haven't given enough information for anyone to give you proper advice E.g do you have any other degrees/certificates apart from your Bsc, what's your husband's highest degree, how old are you and your husband, what's his work experience. The question plenty Just play with this CRS tool below and simulate your scores then come over to the other thread and someone will be able to point you in the right direction http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp?_ga=2.141128822.555779551.1530002975-1561889732.1516351987 |

sienakab: Good day everyone,
I have been on Australia thread for long, reading and preparing for PTE until yesterday that someone advised me on the thread that Canada would be easier for me with my Msc. So quickly searched for Canada thread, upon getting here, I found out it’s another reading task. I have started the reading here, but with up to 8 parts, I get disturbed. Infact i have calculated my point, I didn’t get up to 350, maybe I didn’t calculate well
I’m 33 years of age, ND in Civil Engineering in 2005 Bsc in Civil Engineering in 2010 Msc in Civil Engineering in 2018 I have minimum of five year working experience I’m single.
My questions are: Considering my profile, do stand better in Canada PR? Which of the parts of this thread will be the most important to read?
Can I get straight forward tips from a civil engineer here that has similar profile ?
Thanking you in anticipation. With your masters degree and an IELTS score of 8777 in Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing, you get 447 points. 447 these days may not be enough to get an invitation to apply because even those with 450-460 are still waiting. However I'd you max out scores on your IELTS e.g. get a 7.5 in writing instead of a 7, a 7.5 in speaking instead of a 7, an 8 in reading instead of a 7 and an 8 in listening, then you'll be able to get about 456 points which puts you in a better position to get an invitation to apply. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp?_ga=2.141128822.555779551.1530002975-1561889732.1516351987Just play around with this tool. IELTS is a bit difficult but if you put your mind to it I'm sure you can do it. If you start from page 1 of this part, you'll be able to get a good feel of what the process is about since you've already been on the Australian thread you'll understand better. Part 1 also contains links to previous threads so you can always get to other threads and see more information when you need it I do not know if you stand a better chance on this path because I don't know what your chances are on the Australian PR path so just look around and ask questions when you don't understand and you can make your decision afterwards |

realone2012: Good day guyz!
Please I want to ask in relation to POF. If someone has two banks, say Bank A and Bank B, and your salary account is already connected to Bank A. Is it advisable to open a mutual fund account with Bank B or use the Bank A for it?
Why I am asking is to know if this won't affect anything during submission of POF or lead to submission of additional documents or proof. If you use bank B, you may have to show bank statement showing salary deposits in bank A and account balance, then highlight transfer to Bank B for the mutual funds account and also show your mutual funds statement/certificate from bank B. If you use bank A you'll show salary statement showing salary deposits and balance as source of funds and if mutual funds account is different you'll still show mutual funds statement/certificate. Nobody will penalise you for investing in mutual funds as long as it's readily accessible to you. In other words you can use either bank A or B as long as there is no mago mago transaction, you'll be alright. |

Gnomic5: Good morning everyone. Congratulations to all the ITA clinchers ......May ITA find the rest of us in the next draw... Please I want to ask the following questions ....I haven't gotten ITA yet but pry to get soon....I AM GATHERING documents ahead of ITA...FAMILY OF 3
1. I am going to be the PA for this application , already in the pool with 460 ...Must the Pof be in my salary account or can I use another account that I don't use for any transaction at all?....p.s I can get statement of accountfor the second one faster than my salary account. ...
You can use another account, just have to show source of funds in the account. That's where an LOE will come in with the breakdown in your second question
2. 50 percent of our pof will be from my dad ...while the rest will come from my pension, savings and hubby's savings.. Would it raise any flag if my husband sends a huge amount if money to my account at once?
An LOE will take care of this one, along with a letter or gift deed from your dad.
3. Can i book medicals now because we are awaiting my husbands evaluation results?
If you're sure of the date/time frame when the ECA report will come in then you can go ahead and book. |

But if you're applying for an undergraduate or master's programme I'm sure you're not applying to just one school. So it would be easier to write the IELTS and have it handy for any school that requests it. |
