I will definitely come here to give my PPR story. But for now my story is that of nomination and successful AOR. I believe when we thank God for little mercies, we invariably invoke greater successes. I have been accused of writing too much English in times past so I'll just be brief pending the time the real gbemu comes.

As a sign of gratitude to God Almighty, I am more than open to answer any question relating to Alberta's Immigration Nominee Program which basically gave me a chance to continue this dream of mine. Apologies for the length of my post. My PPR story go long pass this one. Stay tuned
Congratulations on your nomination and for the success of your PR application, that one is sure by God's grace.

Modified, seen the answer to my question up there

Good morning house. Our people say a closed mouth is a closed destiny I have read through these pages for over 2months and I can confidently say I can pass for an Agent (lolz) but I need clarifications on some issues. I am a seaman by profession Class 2 ETO. I have not in anyway seen anyone with similar job description like me on this platform. Is it that seamen don't apply ? Please I really need help if any seaman has applied for this EE. Secondly I am writing IELTS with my wife this month and WES evaluation is currently ongoing. Please and please can we complete the process from Dubai after this first 2 stages. Thanks
Is your NOC 2273? If not, What NOC category does a seaman fall into? If it is under 0, A or B then you're good to go. You can be a pioneer. I haven't seen any since I joined the platform sha, but should not deter you. All you need is the right documents and you're golden. Yes I think you can complete the process from Dubai, as long as you're able to do your medicals and biometrics there.

To me o, the thing don cast na. The so-called sponsor has backed out. What solution are you looking for? Your friend should only pray not to be banned for misrepresentation; your friend should just try to prove to IRCC that the cousin was really the sponsor but that the sponsor seems not to be ready to further his sponsorship, the reason why you cannot tell. Next time, one really has to be sure who they are using to claim sponsorship or sibling relationship, because it is surprising why a so-called sponsor will want to put someone into trouble.
No be small casting, it would have been better if the guy said no from the beginning sef. Carry her reach middle of water then tell her to walk. If you didn't trust her or something why give her the go ahead at all. What If she gets banned now, that's it for her till the next 5-10yrs, no Canada, America, UK them them. After this one ehn, plus you plus your full nuclear and extended family are in my black book forever, generational quarrel only God go tell me to stop.

Goodday house. Happy hols. Please I saw a place where you can write IELTS exams for 68k. Is this genuine? I've only written with BC b4 and I learnt theirs is 75k now. Please who has written with this 68k people b4?
Two bodies in Nigeria currently providing IELTS exams. British Council and MOD IDP. British Council charges 75k per exam and 15k for remark. MOD charges 68k per exam and 45k for remark.

Also if you're writing the IELTS for immigration to Canada there's a lot of information you really need to get familiar with on page 1, you won't regret it

True. I totally get it.

Indeed, our anyhowness in Nigeria has made a lot of people go through avoidable stuff.

However, I honestly think that his request for the other party was a stupid one. And, not taking the other party with me was not me telling him to lie! His job, like all notary publics, is to verify the authenticity/originality of a document. His job is not to dissect the content of the document(?).

Plus, me bringing the other party would do nothing to ascertain the authenticity of the document. I could take anyone with me and tell him that was the other party, you know?

Notary Publics only need to see the original copy of a document. All this other party request was just the guy trying to be Nigerian. The gift deed I presented na original. Original as original gets. The crook was only trying to overbill me after seeing the money on the document ni. smiley That's what I think. I could be wrong (but I doubt it).

And about your comment on notary publics in Nigeria loosing their credibility? I don't think that would be anytime soon. Maybe after India sha. cheesy Nigerians are nothing close to Indians.
His request is not stupid because the document contains another person's name. I understand he may have been overzealous but it is not unusual. What if your donor was the only person who signed the deed? Afterall it was a gift.Would it be stupid to ask to see him? The document could also have been forged, you could borrow cash from friends and state that your donor gave you cash. Ascertaining authenticity or 'originalness' of a document is also under his discretion, he could ask to see your valid ID cards and you cannot go and bring a random person then except you want to forge documents. Dissecting the contents of the document could also help him in determining his course of action. So yeah he may have wanted to 'overbill' you, but that doesn't invalidate his other questions.

Anyways, the stamp isn't compulsory. So don't bother yourself with finding one because you may find one that will charge you 300naira and run into trouble. Notary publics have stamps that can be verified so if you use anyhow one and some 'overzealous' VO decides to do some due diligence....

Good People,

I just had a terrible experience with a notary public. I wanted to notarize my gift deed and another document, na so the guy dey ask me questions oo. Who sent the money to you? What do you want to use it for? "You need to come here with the person that gifted you the money, then we can talk about the price."

I just left the crook's office at that point.

Please, I would appreciate it if anyone would recommend a notary public (on the Island or in Ibadan) you have used for gift deed. I am too busy to be explaining stuff.

Thanks as usual, people.
I don't know how much he planned to charge you that's his business. There's no fixed fee for notaries in Nigeria, most of them are lawyers 7years and above at the bar, so it's not supposed to be chicken fee anyway and maybe not too exorbitant, but that also depends on the document and the notary involved.
But ehn, apart from the price I don't see anything wrong he did. If he had no ulterior motives, he was just doing his job. For example, when a school in the abroad asks you to send a certified true copy of your certificate issued by a notary public, they do this because they believe that the notary will cite the original of that document before certifying a photocopy. They trust notaries more than they trust your courts in Nigeria. So if one person brings an agreement signed by two parties(which is what the gift deed is) and asks him to 'certify' it without seeing the second party, that's asking him to lie.
It is the hunger in the land and our culture of bastardizing everything here that makes it possible for business centres to carry notary stamps and charge 200-500 per page. That is how even notary publics will come to mean nothing in this country in the next few years.

How please
A gift deed is an agreement, you sign and the donor signs. Shikena. The notary stamp is just to add to the authenticity of the document. Even a letter from your donor can suffice in place of a deed. Either way, just make sure to cross your t's and dot your i's. If the document is genuine in itself you're good to go

So sorry about your passport, if you're sure that it is missing, you'll have to apply for a new one at the immigration office. Remember there has been a shortage of passport booklets in major areas like Lagos, Abuja and PH.

Good afternoon everyone,
Please i need an advice oo before my brain blows as a result of over thinking. Lol.
So, i have my POF, i got all from my Family, sometimes in march i got 1.5m cash. I paid it in on different dates in march. I paid 500k each on different days. But i used 1million to transact on wed, on thurs, my dad also transferred 2millon ( transfer, not cash this time) into my account and the 1million came back with interest yesterday. Lol Please how do i go about all this? I also want to put the money into axa mansard money market so i can get interest on it...lol every kobo counts now. I want to put in my application unfailingly before this coming Thursday as I already have my ITA. Pls advice what i can do so i dont get a red flag. Thanks and God bless you all.
You can do the money market fund and get a certificate/Letter from the bank. Also do a gift deed/Letter from your dad stating he gave you the money and is not expecting it back. Then you can print a copy of the page of your bank statement showing the transfers and highlight the deposits going into your account. C'est fini

Please House, I hope someone can create time to react to this:

1. I try to read about Manitoba Skilled worker PNP and it looks ok. But I am a bit confused. The age bracket 21 - 46 years has the highest mark while as you grow old in express entry pool, the score drops. My question is can I enter into the express entry pool, and also apply to Manitoba PNP same time?. If I am issued Letter to apply in Manitoba PNP, will it assist the express entry pool or conflict?. Please note I read this on a website and i DO NOT know what to make of it:

Express Entry candidates with an enhanced provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points toward their Express Entry ranking score and are effectively fast-tracked for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

The PNP nomination automatically gives you 600 extra points under the express entry program. It will boost your scores under the express entry program. You can create an express entry profile while applying to Manitoba, once the nomination comes, you update your express entry profile and get your extra 600points

2. What is the difference between the Federal Skilled Workers and Skilled Workers for PNP. Are they the same and which one has the lower benchmark in all these immigration programme.

The FSW Programme is a stream under the express entry program. Provinces like Manitoba usually select certain people having specific features already registered under the express entry program.

3. Where can one get the CRS to apply to PNP programme or it is the same as Express Entry

When you create your express entry profile, you get a CRS score, it may be less than 400 in your case which is usually too low to receive ITA under the FSW program. If you're successful with the PNP application you get the 600 extra points to push you above current draw scores and get you the ITA.

Please advise, as I am just learning this. Thank you.
Please note that this is all very limited information. Please check my reply to your post from yesterday and you'll see the link to the PNP thread on Nairaland. You should get better information there.

Hmm. They showed me the same list to go to the bank and pay.
Once they notice u paid online, your file is just left unattended to in every office it reaches. You have to do all the running around urself. After all the effort, i got a call that my file had suddenly gone 'missing' in one office. All the raw scores from 100L to 600L that had even passed dean signing stage just vanished in someone's office, all because I ddnt pay the money directly to their hands. So in as much as it's the right thing to pay at the bank, greazing palms and having contacts both at ur faculty and exams nd records is strongly advised.
grin Naija we hail thee. Happens in almost every establishment. I paid someone to get my driving licence done, got it in less than two months. My cousin paid online last year or so, she still hasn't gotten hers. Same thing with the international passport, I was told I had to pay 'express fee' to get mine. I jejely paid, you can't do shakara at this point, just give them the money and get what you need. We stoop to conquer

Please I need a head start as I just got a grip to start this process. Please can someone respond to these questions:

1. Do I need to do WES and IELTS before starting any of the process? This is adviced as both of them usually take most of your preparation time

2. Do I need to pay WES for each of my credential to be evaluated. For instance, I have HND Computer Science, Bsc from a University in UK , PMP and Microsoft Certifications. I am a Software Developer. You can claim two or more certificates, since you don't have a master's. So your HND and BSC will suffice, this way you don't need to evaluate all of them. I think you pay the same fee for both with WES, I may be wrong.

3. I am over 40 but if I want to boost my score via pronvincial nomination, what do I have to do? Do I apply to each of the provinces as the first step or after 1 and 2 stated above, I can now commence.

I hope someone will pick this up to be addressed. Thank you.

Been interested in doing EE for a while now but kept stalling because of POF and all the monies here and there. I sha finally started the process, even if na jeje I go do am.
Did my ECA with WES last year.
Just got my IELTS results LRWS 8,7.5,7.5,7.5.
Checked what my CRS score might be and it's looking like 453.
Tbh I'm a little nervous about applying now cause I'm yet to get my POF ready. Most likely will get support from family but I don't wish to wait for 6mths and I'm wondering what other sure options I can take instead of a gift deed.
Any suggestion would be massively appreciated.
Ehm, to be honest I don't think there are many other legit suggestions about POF apart from support from family/friends. Have you been working for a while? If you have you can check your pension account to see how much you are able to access upon resignation. Some people have used that option. If that works, the rest of the money may be easier to obtain from family

ADR: MEDICAL EXAMS REQUEST – OCT 26,2018
2ND MEP: 21ST MAY 2019
PPR: 21ST MAY 2019

THE MEDICAL HURDLE
After the background check update, I got a request to redo medicals for me and my family. We promptly booked for our medicals although the preferred choice of children’s practice was no longer available and booking had become serious hotcake! I came to this house and appealed for slots and swaps back then. I finally got an opening with IOM and we went for the medical exams in November 2018. During my physical examination, a large size tumour was observed and I was referred to a specialist for more information.
This was the point where my story took a big turn, the final diagnosis after batteries of medical tests was that it was cancerous and I decided immediately to go for a surgery in Nigeria in the earlier part of 2019 and improve my chances of a good medical review.
Surgery and recovery took about 4 months and the Canadian dream had to play second fiddle to my health. After surgery, I submitted a number of reports to IRCC as requested and was also asked to prepare to submit another follow-up report six months post surgery.

HEALING...AND SURPRISE PPR
This period between Nov 2018 and May 2019 were one of the toughest of my young life. Thank God for my faith in God and my knowledge of God’s Word! I took full advantage of my understanding of God’s Word to claim my healing and full health restoration while confessing God’s favour over my application. I sincerely was looking forward to July when I was asked to submit another report and was surprised by God when my PPR request came in on the 22nd May,2019.
I was not as excited as I would have been if it had come before the end of 2018 but I am grateful to God for His goodness. I have grown in leaps and bounds in this journey of faith and my Canadian dream. I have no regrets about the refusal and the medical delay because as my mantra was throughout the toughest season of my life...ALL IS WELL AND WORKING FOR MY ADVANTAGE!
Its PPR after about 11 months post AOR...it has ENDED IN PRAISE...the next phase will be far better on the other side.
On a final note, let everyone stand strong... you will tell a beautiful story at the end if you believe and do not give up!
Peace!
This God ehn, truly he does not slumber. Everything does happen according to his plan for those who trust in him. A tumor that was missed during your first medicals, you could have gone on with your life not knowing something was wrong. Kai, I praise God for you and your family, for the PPR and the healing. As dramatic as the process was, your testimony is even greater, and your success in Canada will be the greatest. Amen.

Weldone everyone!

I have been a silent reader as I have the intention to apply for canada express entry.

I am aware I need to evaluate my qualification/s but I am not sure of the occupation to nominate.

Below are my qualifications;
MBA from federation university Australia
ACCA affiliate
Bsc from Oxford Brookes

I have more than 3 years working experience as an accountant overseas BUT I am not sure if nominating Accounting will be a good idea as my highest qualification is MBA which I Think its generic.

Are there people who have use MBA for the express entry process ?
Is there anyone that got his PR as an accountant as I will like to evaluate my qualifications this week.

Please, make una help una brother
An MBA is a master's degree, so yes people have used it as it gives you more points than the Bsc. If accounting is under NOC 0, A or B, then you can go ahead with it since you have the requisite work experience. In this case, there's nothing wrong with evaluating your MBA and using accounting experience. People have used NYSC teaching experience and evaluated engineering degrees. With good IELTS scores and age on your side you can get ITA in the coming draws.
